Daryl Hall's voice (Blonde guy) is the high pitched one and John Oates has the lower voice. They had so many hits and you can't go wrong with any of them.
Hall & Oates are a great American pop rock duo who had their biggest success in the 70's-80's. They had a lot of great hits such as "Rich Girl", "Kiss On My List", "Private Eyes", "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)", "Maneater", "Out Of Touch", "Sara Smile", "You Make My Dreams", "Family Man", "Say It Isn't So", "Method Of Modern Love" etc.
Oh, Yeah? Marvin Gaye & Kim Weston, Ashford & Simpson, Sonny & Cher, The Righteous Brothers, Steely Dan, Otis Redding & Carla Thomas, The Carpenters, Simon & Garfunkel, Ike & Tina Turner, The Everly Brothers, Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell, and Hall & Oates might disagree. I sure as hell do.
Deep, and fabulous, rabbit hole! Blue-eyed soul 😊 After you listen to I Can’t Go For That, you must listen to CeeLo Green and Daryl Hall and band doing it live from Daryl’s house. 🔥 Anything live from Daryl’s house is 🔥
These guys are Hall of Famers. Sara Smile, I Can't Go For That, Kiss On My List, Rich Girl, Maneater are must listens. Thanks for starting this rabbit whole. Can't wait for your next reaction.
Definitely, drop everything! Run, don’t walk, right to “Sara Smile”! And, do a version like this one with the words! CLASSIC! It will become your favorite song! You can thank us all that suggested it later. Seriously, listen…smile…& enjoy it. One of the BEST songs ever. Smoooooooth.
Great reaction man... Check out 'I Can't Go For That' (No Can Do), 'One On One', 'Method Of Modern Love', 'Sara Smile', 'Rich Girl', just to name a few. Also, realize that they write most of the songs they perform... They Are Brilliant!
If you like long intros, you should check out Papa Was A Rolling Stone by the Temptations. It will blow your mind. The musicians just kill it. Thanks for the great reactions. Love your channel. 👏👏🥰
It's really delightful to catch a whole new feeling about the song from your appreciation of it. You are very observant, sensitive to feeling, and excited about things I enjoy. Love it!
No. Oates got stood up by a girlfriend on New Years Eve, and he wrote this mostly. He and Daryl collaborated on music style and an amazing song was born.
New subscribers here from the UK and have to say we're LOVING your reactions to such a varied range of songs. Watching you react is like hearing the soundtrack of our lives through new ears. A couple of Queen songs we know you will love, written close to the end when Freddie knew he was dying. 1. The Show Must Go On 2. Too Much Love Will Kill You. Absolute classics . . Enjoy .......
ok, crossing fingers the next one is either "rich girl" or "sara smile". these 3 are the hall & oates perfect trifecta ❤ and i always thought it was john oates (dark hair, lower voice) who was the primary writer of "she's gone", which is why he's the lead vocalist here. it's also a crying shame that after all these decades these 2 talents have split. it's so bloody sad.
Loved these guys since the 80s, at least. I'm now in my 60s but would always hit the dance floor when their music came on. The faster tracks are fabulous also!
You picked a great song to start with Hall and Oates. They were absolutely HUGE in the 80's/90's. And their production is impeccable. Can't wait to hear your next song from them!
🇬🇧 Hall & Oats, the most successful duo anywhere, ever, fact. What a HUGE rabbit hole you MUST enter, now that youve stepped through the door. I knew you'd love this song (as you will ALL their songs, trust me, all these people cannot be wrong!) "You Make My Dreams Come True" next please. ❤🎶🎼
So many Hall & Oates hits played on the car radio in the 80’s when I was a kid/adolescent …I’ll always feel some kind of way hearing them. *Wait For Me (1995) is touching ❤
My favorite Hall & Oates song, this is such a beautiful song! They were fire in the 70's, still are. Now you can listen to it as many times as you want.
This is, IMHO, one of the best written songs of all time. While "Sara Smile" is a great song, their live version of "Me and Mrs Jones" has to be on your list to listen to.
John's got the lower voice, Daryl has the higher but he can get down low too. I like the contrast of their vocal harmonies, it's wide and not so close together, which gives it that haunting feel. Bowie does this too.
Oh the memories from this song, and anything Hall & Oats......they are definitely one of my favorite pop rock groups, & I hope you review mor of their catalog, as you won't be disappointed 😊
Hall and Oats are an amazing band that get you right at the core..There is so much depth with there lyrics and it reflects our current relationships in some way or at some time...Thanks for the really great reaction. You are my favorite person in these reaction videos. Always so positive and uplifting...Keep it up. I don't miss any of them! Oh listen to Hall & Oats, Sara Smile...you will love that one.
