50 yo white dude in Georgia, here. Don’t mistake the video as a reflection of reality. We have plenty of black country folk, too as our neighbors, coworkers and friends! And thank goodness…because a lot of them can out-fish me! AND having fellow Americans who happen to be black as friends or neighbors means having access to outstanding food, good love and fellowship! 😁 Love and light to you and yours, whoever reads this!

Absolutely. We would hunt before school (in high school), and go to school with our guns in a gun rack (most trucks were regular cab back then). Nobody even thought twice about it. There is even a picture in my Senior yearbook of my hunting buddies posing in front of the office with their shotguns.

@@paulpenix8198 yup I was raised on a farm myself. Even though I'm female, I could keep up with the boys. Not anymore 😅, but that was before we lost the farm and we had to become reliant on corporations for food. They continuously feed us weird crap

In high school, almost every truck had their windows down and had more than one rifle in a rack on the inside of their trucks. Yes, that made us girls love them more; but we were also taught to shoot young; I learned to shoot a .22 long rifle at the age of 5 years old because a man did a home invasion on my family! He told the police and us, he was going to come out of prison (that was his third home invasion of the night, so he knew he was going to prison, not jail) and I was the one who locked him in the basement without any other exits than the door I locked; that he was going to kill us. He did 10 years and came after my whole family. You learn to shoot to kill if need be, because if we had know that guy was going to come after my whole family; he would not have made it out of our house alive for the cops to arrest. I hadn't learned to shoot the rifle yet, so I couldn't shoot him and everyone else was asleep until I started screaming I locked some guy in our basement! Now, I can shoot even black powder pistols and muskets all the way up to 12-gauge shotguns and my own .357 Magnum with hydro-shock hollow point bullets in it! We "don't play" with that crap anymore. You come through a window in our house and you are more likely going to the morgue not jail or prison. No one should make a family have to go through the terror of knowing someone is your home! Every state in America should have the 2nd Amendment Right to Carry Concealed or Open Wear!

I've been a country girl my entire life and my man can hunt, fish ( I fish with him, and clean all of the fish), he does all of his own car repairs, we grow our own weed too, so we are happy campers! It's hard work being from the country, but it is so worth it, you don't have idiots around you all day, you have wildlife around you and that is so relaxing!

Part of this intensity may also be due to Williams Jr.’s near-death experience in southwestern Montana in August 1975. While climbing the Ajax Peak on the continental divide, Williams Jr. fell on a rock after the snow beneath him gave way. He suffered several facial and skull fractures from the fall, and he eventually had to relearn how to sing. This event and Williams Jr.’s subsequent recovery empowered the country singer. After the song’s initial success, Williams Jr. released another version of the track titled “America Will Survive” after the tragedy of 9/11.

My father had 3 girls I'm the youngest he wanted a son but my grandfather told him "ain't nothing twigs and berries missing from your youngin got to do with teaching her how to survive" my dad has 11 sisters and 1 brother 13 children. I killed my first deer at 6 years old rode dirt bikes fixed cars etc... Point being please don't regret one day when you're old "oh man I should've went hunting. Most of the time it's more about the solitude and beauty in the forest than bagging anything! Best of luck

I enjoy your reactions. You have a very straight forward approach and well-spoken observations about music and the videos you watch.Hank Williams Jr. is the second legend in his family to make a mark in and on country music (his father being the first in the family). It was a real struggle for Hank Jr to find his own voice and to get out from beneath the shadows of his father's music and life. Hank Jr.'s near fatal tragedy help him redefine who he wanted to be seen as. He changed the perspective of how we view him and country music and helped define The Outlaw era of country music. He has definitely made his own mark in and on country music. BTW there is a 3rd Hank Williams. Hank Williams Jr. has a son who also sings, and he is called Hank Williams III...duh!

I am from West Alabam. Hank has a place in South Alabam. In Alabama, we are not required to have a gun permit. If you see a white woman whose purse seems to be heavy, it is because she had something in her purse for protection. It is not unusual to see a man with his gun on his hip. We live in a city of about 120,000 and we have chickens, a garden and a little community lake to fish in.

If you don't know who Josh Prey is, but he videos about his Bright Friends. The one that cracks me up so much is, "5 Things I Learned At The Gun Range" I suggest you listen to his stuff because he is so funny. Now about my country roots; I remember being 12 years and my dad was playing country music at this wedding. They were passing gallon jugs of Jack Daniels and it was considered an offense if you didn't take a swig of it. So, I took a swig, without any "chaser". Our family come from share croppers (and some moonshiners, no joke); my dad did that (share cropping, not making or running shine, even though I do have a very close family member who ran shine in the late 1970's to 1980's!) until probably 17 or 18 years old. See, not only were Black people pickin' cotton so was my Indian(woo woo, not dot dot) and Irish family. They went from North Carolina, Florida Reservations/Nations, through Alabama, and Mississippi; even though our Choctaw Tribe was originally from an Alabama ; (yes, with the Irish side on it too!). They then ended up farming their own land in Missouri and they had everything from peaches, apples, watermelon, tomatoes, okra, and a lot more different vegetables and fruits and they also had their own hogs to slaughter. They were self sufficient and did sell their products. We all have a gun or gunz like Josh Pray calls it. Heck some of our family have tannerite because they have a lot of land! Yeah, that will destroy a car in about 2 seconds! Anyway, even though we have some crazy ways, not only country people can survive, but people who learn how to do the things that can make you self-sufficient. Might want to go in the backwoods with someone you trust; who can teach you the way to survive. I know they have courses for it, but don't go to the big companies, go to the country ones; they can literally teach you how to make a survival hut if you get caught in a blizzard or if you need to survive hunger if you get lost in the woods and how to be found before you die! You are always so cool about how you deal with new things.

I get the message and I approve. I'm a country boy at heart. I've lived in Texas and Arkansas too. But, isn't the goal to thrive and not just survive? To survive; is setting the mark pretty low? Personally, I'm working to exceed expectations and to thrive. Great song!!

Greetings from the Great White North 🇨🇦 I live in a country environment and yes I agree with you on your comment of being able to thrive. My opinion is that we are more self reliant. For example we don't necessarily rely on a grocery store for our food supply.

Riding and packing a horse along with learning how to shoot is part of high school curriculum that I attended. It has a gun club and two shooting ranges (for over 100 years) I fished every day, for 20 years, when I lived in lake arrowhead CA. Now I’m in the Santa Ynez Mountain range…. rattlesnake and quail are on the menu. Am I allowed to call myself a “ Country boy“ if I live in CA?

Hell yeah. You're outnumbered, but that state has some of the most beautiful wilderness in the nation. Too bad so many city morons are ruining it.

Hank came to Pittsburgh to sing the National Anthem at a Steelers game several years ago. I've stood through many, many renditions at the games, his was by far the very best I've ever witnessed. Waylon's Guitar is one of my favorite songs of his. Great reaction.
