Home Free are masters of collaboration. They know how to showcase without upstaging whoever they work with . They like to help give newcomers a leg up. Brooke Eden was a contestant on American Idol and has opened for Home Free when they've been touring. Great reaction.

Brooke eden is a country music artist who was on american idol like 10 years or so ago. She put out several videos back in 2014-2017 years. She then took a break to find herself. In 2021 she came out to the world and released her song left you for me. She is now happily married to her wife that actually works for Garth brooks.

Brooke Eden and Home Free covers this song magnificently. This song was first released by Bette Midler, later by Tanya Tucker and Helen Reddy also by the Statler Brothers. The songwriter Alex Harvey in memory of his mother who like the character in the song was misunderstood.

So this is another really old song sung by several artists. Bette Midler sung it first, then Tanya Tucker, but it was Helen Reddy who took it to number one in 1973. Home Free is a acappella vocal group and Brook Eden is a country star who is engaged to her girlfriend Hilary Hoover.

This is a great song! Bette Midler did it first in 1971 but I remember Tanya Tucker & Helen Reddy's versions. The guys did a really nice job backing up Brooke Eden on this song. They never take away from a guest vocalist. And how cool did they all look dressed in the western theme. Reminded me of the Clint Eastwood spaghetti western movies I used to watch.

Tanya Tucker originally recorded this song back in 1972 now I have not heard her perform it in a very long time so I have no idea how the 1990 version compares to her original performance, but I am betting it was not much different.

OJ!!! It is fire. Brooke has a great voice. The only thing I know about her is that she was on American Idol about 10 years ago. I think she’s in Nashville. Loved Tim’s lows and Austin’s highs. Fantastic reaction to this. Love that you replayed the wild ending a couple of times -- and to hear you sing with HF -- love your voice! And that you're respectful, restrained, enough to just give us little trills of your own orange juice. HF has a new one out, written by Chance for a video game: Skull & Bones. There are two versions: one with just lyrics and a live performance (much shorter) by HF for the rollout. Chance really blows here, solos throughout and plays the guitar.

The only other version I’ve ever heard of this song was done by Tanya Tucker and I thought she originally sang this song but apparently she’s not the original, but that’s the only version I ever grew up on until now. I do recommend that you check out Tanya Tucker’s version of this song as well

Brooke sounds a lot like Tanya (Tucker) here on this song. To be clear, I was a kid in the 70s hearing Tanya Tucker singing this song on vinyl from my older sister's collection. So, while there are other versions of Delta Dawn, I associate Tanya with it, and I love this version from Home Free and Brooke.
