I've been a big fan of k.d. Lang since she first came on the scene. Saw her on Johnny Carson's tonight show in the late 80's & was blown away by her voice. She's one of my favorite female singers 🎵♥️
kd lang is one of the great vocalists of all time. listen to kd's cover of "crying" it will have you crying. she is a sorceress of voice. she can create magic. she can thrill. listen to all the kd lang you can get your hands on. major major.
I love to watch young people discover K. D. Lang for the first time. (I'm nearer 80 than 70) I've been listening to her since the early '80s. She has to be the finest singer of her era. Find some others, like Crying. You won't be disappointed.
It doesn't matter how many times I hear KD Lang singing Hallelujah I get goosebumps and chills, absolutley beautiful brilliant and flawless technique, she is living this song🎶🎶👏👏❣❣
Yes, she will take you to church! She slayed this performance, one of her best. This is why she is loved. My favorite song from her is Constant Cravings, you should check that one out.
You know, they asked Cohen to perform his own song for this but he refused and told them to ask KD because "it's her song now." He was front row center in the audience for this, too
You should watch her singing this at the Vancouver Olympics opening ceremony i think 2010? Also her amazing, powerful performance of Crying, at the Roy Orbison Tribute.
Leonard cohen is amazing his version of his song is from his heart He has his own style of delivering music, with his dark somber tone of voice 🫶🏴🇬🇧
Pure reaction I appreciate and love from reaction to KD Lang...had me crying!!! Looking forward to more reactions, I've subscribed, like/love and commented...Thankyou.. from Aotearoa, New Zealand!!!
Great video. Listen to KD's version of 3 cigarettes in an ashtray live on the Tonight show with Johnny Carson. Then Crying performance at the Roy Orbison tribute. She stole the show. Thanks ❤
Welcome to the wonderful musical universe of k.d. lang! I’m sure you’ll get a lot of referrals to “Crying”, which you should definitely listen to, but I’suggest “Black Coffee,” just to get a little deeper and further away from her “signature songs.” You really can’t go wring with anything she’s done
You have GOT to do a reaction to her Vancouver Olympics version. You really REALLY do, as good as this version is, the Olympics version was incredible. KD Lang is a Canadian treasure. We love her to pieces!
Leonard was is the front row listening her for the first time. Sitting there with honour. He turned to his wife and whispered “I think we can put this song to bed” meaning no one will ever top kds version
I have been a fan of KD since the late 70’s/early 80’s! I loved her Constant Cravings and Honky Tonk Angels, etc. She really made you feel when she sang! I was into country music back then! Mahalo for your reaction to this wonderful artist!
1 second ago As anyone prays there is that bottoming out of a person's soul. The need to give all to the foot of the cross. No apology from K.D. Lang walks the Leonard Cohen Lyric to the edge of the stage as she lives and breathes each word of this timeless song. We all have the emotion of despair but few can utter its truth better.
K D Lang is a female singer from Canada!!🇨🇦❤ she has been performing since the ‘80’s.i can’t believe people are just hearing about her. New generation I suppose.
The legend Roy Orbison heard her sing and asked her to do a duet with him of his hit song “ Crying”. It was fantastic. Then after Roy died she was asked to perform “ Crying “ at a star studded memorial tribute to Roy. She brought the house down. Watch the video tribute version of “ Crying “ by k.d. lang.
k.d.lang, yes. Oh hell yes. (Her cover of Roy Orbison's 'Crying', anyone?) But... Also: Pentatonix's "Hallelujah". Shot out in the southern CA desert. Go listen to that one. Completely different since they're an a capella group.
You think the GOAT k.d. lang is good, check out QUEEN's set at Live Aid in 1985. That is literally the greatest live performance ever recorded in our history.
Some songs you need to listen to the lyrics and hear the performance to get the full impact. This is one of those performances. Some reactors, such as yourself, react to the sound. k.d.'s voice and performance are worthy of a reaction, and you had a strong reaction to it. Listen to it again, concentrating on Leonard Cohen's words, coupled with this performance, and you will double down on your reaction. Cheers mate.
Please, must her performance be upstaged by 'look at me' antics on your part? Try to bear in mind, K D Lang is known, worldwide, and her talent revered... Though I won't be back... I will say on a more positive note, that if your appreciation is more than 'of the moment,' then I'm happy for you. Ms. Lang's talent is unique and captivates her audiences and countless loyal fans. TY.
