everyone on the solar (sounds of los angeles records) label was great... shalamar, whispers, dynasty, midnight star... and esp. lakeside. your love is on the one is my fave.

My favorite Lakeside record. Check out two from the incomparable Terri Wells; “Falling Leaves” One of the smoothest jams ever and her dope boogie jam “I’m Giving All My Love” I don’t think you’ll be disappointed….

These guys are out of Dayton Ohio. They brought the Funk. Roger, Zapp, Heatwave, Slave, Sun, Shirley Murdock and others All out of Dayton. The lead on this song reminds me a little of Dennis Edwards from the Temptations. Pac also sampled Zapp/Roger, way way back. Him and Dre also sampled Zapp/Roger on California too.

They were great in their day I have all their Lps (albums). Lakeside, Earth Wind & Fire, The Gap band, Kool and the Gang you name em and many more some of the baddest bands around real musicians real music.
