Lionel wrote this song for a Brooke Sheilds movie by the same name. Diana Ross originally said no, then agreed but with conditions. She wanted to switch parts with him. She also wanted top billing on the record lable, but since he wrote the song she relented.

this is the only time they performed live together. Lionel said he wanted to do more live but Diana usually sang this as a solo.
