Had to stop immediately to see y’all’s reaction to this one. Seen her in person twice, her voice is just as powerful, almost no production effects on it at all. She’s insane. Tickets are super cheap too so if you ever get the chance it’s 15/10 recommended. Amazing artist, great video, y’all keep grinding!!
AGREED! I’ve seen her 3 times ( and met her twice) and , would that I could,I would travel the world to see her. LP is a woman ( from birth) who identifies as both she/ they.
I feel so robbed that I’m American and just yesterday heard of her. She’s absolutely amazing, a really force of nature and seems to be more well known outside of the US for some reason. I’ll have the opportunity to see her live next month and plan on driving three hours to not miss it.
She is born female & was born flatter chested like that. She is an incredible person & I’ve followed her for a very long time now! Muddy waters is another amazing one she sings & it’s actually part of the same live session you just reacted to! Thank you for making sure you looked at what her preferred pronouns are. She’s said that’s she’s always gotten questions on her gender, sexuality and things like that but that she is female, was born female but was thankfully born with a flatter chest so no surgeries done, she’s queer & while she does go by she/her, she is neutral when it comes to her identity!
She never had a big chest. When she was younger and in Lion Fish (pretty sure that's the band) she was thicker all the way around so she had a slightly bigger chest but she started yoga and working out and she lost her weight in a healthy way.
@ Enough: Geez, you guys act like her having a C or D cup is blasphemous, chill man! Saw it on a REALLY old video. Sad about her Mom, it was the best decision for her both health wise and true identity wise. Love her, she's such a talent!! ✨✨
"When We're High" badass song! Nothing in the world tops Lost On You though in my opinion!❤️ Favorite song of all time! Truly an amazing beautiful singer!
Wow!!! So glad you guys got around to LP!!!! I discovered her about 3 yrs ago but she's been around forever, first writing songs for other ppl. Had a chance to see her in 2022 and I blew it!! Will not let that happen again 😉 Pls don't let this be the last of LP that you react to, at least check out Muddy Waters and her cover of Halo. Love you guys 💚🎵🎶
I came here to say this EXACT thing. Lol. 3 years ago I first heard their music, saw them live in DC for the first time in 2022, came to suggest Muddy Waters and Halo.
Watching you figure her out and then seeing the reactions on all your faces was awesome. She is incredible and to see you really connect with her and groove out with the song was the best ever.
I love love LP she is absolutely amazing you guys will love her cover for halo live also muddy waters and when we're high or the one that you love and strange just to mention some she has sooo many beautiful songs thank you for this reaction I hope I see more reactions to her from you guys
A buddy of mine showed me this years ago when it had less than a million views. We just sat there quietly and enjoyed every minute. It sucks the music that gets promoted and what almost gets lost in the cracks.
Saw this amazing lady in Rome 2 years ago, she is a total musician besides being an incredible vocalist, her mother was an opera singer I heard, and just listen to her man she is AWESOME ! and a really cool down to earth "little" Italian lady! :)
LP is AMAZING, this is one of my all time favorite songs. What she has in her hand? hand cymbals, she keeps the beat with it perfectly. She has a huge range, she really, really is talented. You should give a listen to a song she does called “Muddy Waters”. She does do covers, but most of her music she writes herself. She really is a talented artist.
I'm a director of rock the nation band competition in Australia. We had the pleasure of L.P playing at our rock the nation show and with amazing sound quality L.P hit the 8.7 score. Only band to hit over 8.7 was Paul Stanley from the rock band kiss that hit a massive 9.7 and till today undefeated all other bands were under 7.2.
Still think y'all should be checkin out more female artists. Tina Turner, Aretha, Janis Joplin to name a few. Tina's Proud Mary for sure and watch the live video.
LP is my favorite artist !! I have been obsessed since I saw the Samsung Galaxy commercial in 2019 on tv and LP song Strange was the music in the commercial! However the most haunting song that will live rent free in your head if you have ever been in love with someone that it physically is killing you on the inside and you know you have to walk away to save your soul that LP has is "Recovery" !!!
Strange is my favorite! I’m gonna have to look up that commercial now! Muddy Waters in an episode of Orange is the new Black is how I found her. I immediately stopped the episode and Shazamed that song! Big fan ever since.
I know lots of people recommend vids but to get a true sense of LP you need to watch the official music video of "When we're high"....that is the first one I saw of her and have been hooked since then.
Loved your reactions to this song! I was the same when I heard it on the radio for the first time and just as confused. She drew me in and I've been hooked ever since. Every one of her songs are bangers! She's just amazing in concert , I've seen her once in T.O and will again in November.👏👏
This is why you are the best reaction channel on youtube! Always recognizing whats music good regardless of genre! LP is a very talented singer /songwriter!
If you like this band sound with a powerhouse female singer, then check out Alabama Shakes. Hold On is really good but this sound here is making me think of Shakes’ Don’t Wanna Fight.
Gender neutral is basically androgyny, think David Bowie during his Ziggy Stardust phase, or Prince. Playing with different gender presentation stereotypes combining them, deconstructing them, presenting them in different ways. The Japanese have a similar social position that basically translates to “no gender” where individuals reject both male and female presentation stereotypes and prefer to wear unisex clothing and present themselves in a unisex way both visually as well as in their physical mannerisms and behavior. So if you can’t tell visually whether someone is male or female it’s probably because they don’t want you to be able to. 🤷♀️
