Marlena is a personification of their muse / creative inspiration, not a real woman. He is saying that life without their creative inspiration just isn't the same and leaves them feeling cold and uninspired - "Marlena torna a casa" means Marlena come back home - so they are imploring their creative inspiration to return. If you listen to more Maneskin songs you will hear this name repeated a lot. You should also watch the official video of this song now that you know the lyrics - it's a really nice video. Marlena is their muse, their soul....that part of you that you feel vibrating when you listen to beautiful music a beatiful sunset or arts etc etc... they also wrote this song during the very bad period of pandemic, where they probably felt this special part of them was far away... people were just afraid, angry and cold one onether...so for me this text acquires even more meaning.... it is as if they were trying to invoke again that spiritual part, that inspiring muse, that they felt distant...

Simply put, Marlena is the muse but she is not a woman, she is referring to music. In the text "marlena returns home" she speaks of her difficulty in composing texts because she has lost inspirations. However Marlena is back and also with arrogance.

Hello I 'm French with Italian origins, I know this group since its beginnings in X-Factor Italia. Marlena is an imaginary character invented for their album. I recommend the title "Moriro Da Re" (Die like a King) and "For your Love" and if you want the listen something really special of this band, I recommend "Vengo della Luna" (I Come from the moon) for another video. ok, Damiano, the lead singer explained that Marlena is their muse, is not a real girl but the name by which they call their inspiration, the art of making music. So in this song (and others) they ask Marlena to come back and give them inspiration because without her their will disappear.
