Let me start by first apologizing to the purist. The best thing that EVER happened to Megadeth and Metallica was the break up. It opened the door for them to both grab superb Lead Guitar players and up the game. The original Metallica line up would've never conquered the world. And Megadeth... would've never been. It's like if your parents divorced and both traded up.
Trust- Megadeth. Awesome intro before the vocals begin. About 90 seconds of awesome guitar/drums intro. Song is a banger too and love for you to react to it. Thanks Holla for reacting to Sweating Bullets!
Megadeth is my favourite band and who ever recommenced this as a first megadeth reaction for you deserves a massive huge ass kicking ... 1. Holy wars 2.Tornado of souls 3.in my darkest hour Thank you Edit : if you want raw megadeth go for KIMB or Peace Sells album
MEGADETH'S catalog is AMAZING even the more chill stuff on "RISK' and "CRYPTIC WRITINGS". Their songwriting has always been superior, even when it wasn't what fans wanted or expected.
If I had to choose, hands down it would be Metallica. I listened to a lot of Megadeth back in the day, but even then, Metallica still ranked way above. I enjoyed Metallica’s instrumentation much more, and Dave just didn’t have the level of pipes that James Hetfield did and still does (no disrespect to Dave Mustaine :) but James can be both hard and soothing to me) But this has always been one of my favorite Megadeth songs, and I’ve never been quite able to pinpoint why, given the seriousness of what the song is referencing. And Dave’s vocals were actually quite perfect in getting across the strain and anguish of it all.
OK My personal opinion. the opening scene hes in seclusion(pysically) then he is interupted by his thoughts (distractions) all of these tangents start breaking off about the band members parts and orchestration he also conceptualizes each member outside the scope of megadeth. how he views their personality and creativity. the deeper down he goes he still is under pressure from life and the obligation to produce high quality content. but end the end he has to snap himself out of the reverie and get back to work.
Yo Krazy, Catalog? I worked on this album with Megadeth at Capitol Records. They were the coolest, funnest people I ever met.. But I'd have to pick Metallica.
