Yes! Do Enter Sandman live from Moscow! Others try unforgiven, and maybe One!! They are hard rock definitely, and some metal but not really Heavy Metal. Good musicians no matter what genre are just Good musicians! And Metallica is crazy good!
You need to watch Master of Puppets! It's about drug abuse. One (about war veterans) is probably my favorite song by Metallica. They are metal, but they also write beautiful ballads like this. I love Metallica.
Metallica turns 43 this year... A lot of songs have been done in this span, a whole lot. Their most productive days were in the 80's and 90's, but they still record new stuff from time to time. They have done a wide variety of songs. I'm sure other people have suggested other songs and you can pretty much throw a dart at a board and you will end up with a new type of experience with these guys. This is one of the best pieces of music ever written... You can just feel this song. I hope you do more. There is a lot to go through.
Catch their vibe on live Moscow show enter sandman. We were all surprised when they put this out but it’s to good not to love. They can rock your socks off
There is nothing to compare them to. They're all they wanted to be and more. Rock God's willding instrument like Weapons. Don't think this is what they sound like, Every Song is it's Own. Don't miss a single one. ❤️
So there is a huge variety inside the hard rock and heavy metal subgenres that soud like what you said (and nothing like what you said), but something everyone agrees is they do the best ballads (and this is not even a top tier example). I recommend you investigate both Metallica and rock ballads as "parallel" explorations, given you were impressed by this song. A next step for each journey could be Still Loving You by The Scorpions and For Whom the Bell Tolls by Metallica.
Rock and Metal have many variations in their music styles. Rap is pretty formulaic. That's why when someone is a little different in rap they really stand out.
This song and this album were so huge that year. Kinda like when Nintendo came out. It was just such an iconic release for people my age that were already huge fans of this band.
Definitely one of their slower songs. Any of the songs people are recommending are good to experience the heavier side of their music. Keep opening up to other styles of music with a open mind. There's so much amazing music out there that people will never hear because it's not in their Normal style or genre they listen too. That's what has made reactors so big. It's a beautiful thing to see people discover new music.
One of my fav song of all songs I love. Driving the car with open windows in summer, playing this song as loud as possible is one of the best experiences and I am an old woman about 60 and NOT a metal fan!
This is a song James wrote about touring and the pains of being away from those you love, and the song blew up. So much so, that they hate playing it, and have pretty much removed it from their concert play lists. I think you'll find 'some' of what you were expecting in the rest of their arsenal of awesome music. I think you might be surprised...
with Metallica - and even Rammstein - you always need to be prepared for the UNEXPECTED, bro ! cause this is perfection in the purest sense have the hell of a good time listening to & best wishes from Germany
Metallica formed in 1981 their first song release was "Garage Days" later they revisited it an renamed it "Garage INC.". Need to check out: FOUR HORSEMEN One Enter Sandman Fuel Master of puppets
Metallica are heavy metal, this is their quietest song by the way. Thrash metal would be the vocals you are talking about with like 3 guitars, bass and drums all going at once. Like crazy metal noise. Metallica are great, you can hear and understand the lyrics and they have a great sound to them, without being too much on the ears. They're really intricate with their music. Check out Live in Moscow 1991, Enter Sandman or Creeping Death. Insane performance and crowd. That is where you FEEL the music.
The doc that shows them going to group therapy makes you think they are just some small band getting full of themselves and then they go and get on stage to a packed stadium thousands deep. Then you realize you forgot "Oh, yeah. This is Metallica here." Really catches you off guard.
@@ALPHAMAGASLAP Not even close to the biggest but it's still probably one of the biggest we'll ever see. I can't see crowds like that happening ever again with all the health and safety we have now. It was probably a fkn great buzz playing to a crowd like that and being there to witness it for a while but I bet it was really uncomfortable for a lot of people. I'm sure a few people died at that show too. I prefer smaller indoor venues myself. The sound quality tends to be better
Love your reaction! This song is so amazing Please Do Enter Sandman by Metallica trust me you won’t regret it they are metal this is just one of their just slower songs they are one of the greatest bands ever🖤🤘🏻
Try this, listen to Seek and Destroy and then fast forward 40 years. . Yes i said 40 years. ...and listen to Screaming Suicide. You can see how advanced they are compared to other bands being able to go for over 40 years and still sound phenomenal. Listen how he feels and enunciates every lyric with meaningful precision
This is one of my all-time favourite tracks. Listen to "Enter Sandman" to get an idea of Metallica's usual repertoire. This was vocalist James Hetfield's love song to his girlfriend at that time. It still goes down a storm at gigs!
Listen to " ONE " with just the music first then you can watch the video. So many reactor's get wrapped up in the video they miss how amazing the music is it should get you psyched up unless you're dead .
There are many sub genres of “metal”. Metallica are predominantly known as the progenitors of “Thrash Metal” from the 1980s. You have inherited the bias passed along from others who don’t know anything about and have not listened to Heavy Rock and Metal. Metal musicians are some of the most talented and technically adept musicians out there.
Metallica is compacted. They are metal and they are rock. They are also grunge. Load and reload is grunge Metallica. This is rock Metallica. If you want metal Metallica try master of puppets
Do yourself a huge favor and watch/listen to Metallica with the real lyrics to follow along with. Every one of their songs has a meaning of some sort, its not just noise. And this song is considered Rock, or Hard Rock, they have a handful of similar songs but majority of what they made was Metal or Heavy Metal. What you are thinking of is screamo or death metal, that grungy screaming throaty vocals. Which a few of Metallicas songs James can get a little screamy but its rare really. If anything they could be considered speed metal on a couple albums, like Kill em All, and Ride the Lightning. Check out their website they have a shit ton of albums since the early 80's. They had over a million people watching them in Moscow, you should check it out, the crowd size is insane!
There are different sub-genres of metal (same with rock), band like Emperor, Sonata Arctica & Metallica are all metal and all very different from each other.
If you want the heavier side watch the video of creeping death live in Moscow (just for the pure shock of the crowd size) or anything off the first 4 albums,
You picked one of the all time classic rock songs. Glad you liked it. Just goes to show that if you give something a try you might just get a surprise. Why not try Pink Floyd “Comfortably Numb “ from the Pulse concert. You might find that would surprise you too. Great reaction man🇬🇧❤️
Metallica is Metal. This song is metal. Metal is not a monolith. There is a ton of variety in it and Metallica was one of the best at exploring the various corners of the genre. Don't get me wrong. There is bad metal too. Metallica made their fair share of it. But their first few albums are amazing.
Metal is a subset of Rock. (So all Metal is Rock. Not all Rock is Metal.) Defining characteristics of Metal are louder, heavier, and faster. (And usually angrier.) However, “Rock music” as always, defies definition. Definitions are limitations. Rock does not recognize limits.
There are many types of metal music. The screaming into the mic is called death metal. This is definitely one of their softer songs from a softer album. If you want to listen to Metallica metal music, try a song from Master of puppets album.
MORE METALLICA REACTIONS!!!! This is an amazing song but it’s not the fullness Metallica has to offer!!!!! Get going on more of the song we have all been telling you to listen to!
A GREAT BALLAD as so many 80s artist in Rock did do Ballads also. Though Metal Heads thought they compromised to big record companies. Yet over time.... these songs have had some of the most lasting value that all at their concerts still want to hear. To me great to react to first. Another Ballad is "Unforgiven" with words from James childhood experience growing up in a cultic religious influence upon his mother as his father abandoned them. As another said if LIVE is preferred and I do.... Seattle '89 concert footage would be great for TRUE Thrash or Heavy Metal experience in their Prime.... others have reacted to it... might need some way to get it thru to get by copyrights though Metallica generally allows all reactions.... some concert footage might not.
Hahaha, I had a signed back stage pass from their black album tour I gave to a hot chick in the days before there was E-bay. Don't judge me, it was a fun night that could have been a "Dear Penthouse" letter, not that you'd know what that is. 😂
First time I heard this was live in Ottawa Canada in 1991, the year it was released. I was 21. You want more kick ass power ballad song reaction vid songs? Do Deep Purple Child in Time, live 1970 TV. Stargazer by Rainbow live, in I think 1975? And Lynyrd Skynyrd Tuesday's Gone or Simple Man. Grow some hair on your balls boy! 😂
This song is definitely more of a rock ballad than a metal song. Early Metallica was definitely more thrash metal, but this song is not thrash metal by any stretch of the imagination.
Metallica “One” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WM8bTdBs-cw.htmlsi=UEc2k4RxlecZHJhV. Though I think the video takes away from the song.
This song is only good to Metallica fans because of everything that came after... that being said, these same Metallica fans will tell you how much they hate westerns (movies) and then say "Except for" followed by like 23 different Westerns... Trust me I know because this song is pretty decent but I hate sooo many Westerns, except for Tombstone, both True Grit, both 3 : 1 0 To Yumas, both Magnificent 7s, The Dollars Trilogy, The Wild Bunch, The Unforgiven, Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, The Assassination Of Jesse James Blah blah blah.... I would even say The Revenant was a Western.... "Midwestern" but yeah that 100% counts other than and probably a few more Westerns sucks just like ALL METALLICA AFTER THE BLACK ALBUM.... LOL
Sorry but this is horrible Metallica 😢 Only the first three albums count for true Metal heads and Garage day's!! I'm positive the person who recommended this is in their late 30s!! Sorry, Sad but true 😅
Yeah typical metallica fan who thinks only their first 3 albums are good when actually their 4th album is their best and they only have one bad album and that is st.anger and I'm 44 bye the way not in my 30s
