"I once sold an inbred skinhead a n***a joke, plus a brand new chrome smokin' with the triggers broke. I thought I told him firing pins sold separate, he'll find out when he goes and tries to rep it" SO FIRE
@nellylarge
@nellylarge 3 года назад
“Like a complex joke, something that has multiple ways of looking at it. You have to go the extra mile to use a technique like that in your writing. When you’re looking at quality of wordplay, you’re looking at, how many words repeat in a bar, or two bars? How many syllables can you use that still make sense in a song? In certain ways, you get a triple word score. You know how in Scrabble, you have triple word score joints, the way you get points based on words, and how they correlate on the board? It’s similar to getting points like that, if you really take it to the next level. What I be looking at is the quality of the rhyming word: phonetically, how the tone is, in the pronunciation of the word. Regardless of language-you can be fluent and speaking Spanish, Arabic, whatever. You can use an Arabic word to rhyme with a Spanish word and have English slang all in between it. As long as the word itself rhymes, you still get points for that word. And the reference is another way of bringing that same thing home. How many references can you cross and still stay on topic? And still rhyme? The more complex the subject matter and wordplay is, that’s where you get your points. I’m a rhymer, so I go for points. I ain’t going to be talking shit about the next dude, or bragging about shit I got. I talk broke shit, I talk about shit I don’t got, or things I’m striving for. Say you’re speaking from a point of view where you’re talking to yourself, in maybe a sad mood. How do your tones come across? Can people feel what you’re saying? Can they hear what you’re saying? Are you well pronounced? Maybe you purposely were a little bit sloppy with it, to bring the point across. Can you bring the point across and still get the rhyme points? It’s like gymnastics on paper. “ - MF DOOM

There is also just a hidden stat and I think it just has to do with tongue twisters. Sometimes you just get a feeling about a certain part of certain rhymes.......I get this feeling once in a while. Most of the time when I am listening to MF DOOM
@miguelangelthomas5154

This is one of DOOMs best. I've never heard anyone rhyme so many syllables together on one song. I mean the rhymes are so SCATTERED but there's a ton of them. It's seems so natural too. The way he switches his flow from beat to beat midsentence is bananas. It's so loose too. It's like he doesn't think that much about what he's going to say. He just spits and it's fly. He boasts about villain life and tells tiny little stories that serve no point than to get a giggle. "Once sold a inbred skinhead..." And the beat switch is like a villain teleporting From one beat to the next just to punch you in your dome. He's the illest.

DOOM talks in so much coded language. Only him and a few people know everything he's talking about. This song is about his moves to get money. Mostly he raps to get money, he never sold drugs. But then he did sell drugs, but then he didn't because he makes money off rap, and rappers lie about their drug life. But he sells drugs and uses them. He apparently cons alot of people out of money as well, and also manages to make money off rap without having to tap dance for the labels and other emcees don't like it. To him it's more luck than skill but he also lets it be known he got skills and the price for a feature is going to continue to go up....until he becomes a gazillionaire off what goes in your ear.

The entire beat is from J Dilla. DOOM and J dilla were suppose to do a whole album similar to Madillainy. Unfortunately J dilla sick and they werent able to finish album. However we get DILLADOOM tracks possibly created before Dilla's Death, Sniperelite, Murdergoonsft Ghostface killa, Mash ft. Guilty SImpson, Lightworks, and Gazzillionaire. There two other Jdilla produced tracks that DOOM probably did after Dilla's Death, Fire wood drumsticks and In the streets with Busta Rhymes.
