Amen. Just a dang shame he wasn’t as forthcoming with his creative output in the last ten years - the last project with Czarface was dope. Would hate to gossip or speculate, but maybe he was battling with a long term illness nobody knew about, which he didn’t put out as much work in the last decade. Beyond gutted that we won’t hear another project from DOOM.

Mmm...Food also came out right around the time when mainstream rap began being heavily influenced by R&B and got “singy” if you will. So bland ballads accurately describe the landscape of mainstream rap for the last 15 years.

He didn’t produce EVERYTHING. Count Bass D produced potholderz, the legend madlib produced one beer (an outtake from madvillainy) and PNS produced kon queso. That being said, DOOM proves how much of a masterful producer he is with beef rapp, deep fried frenz, vomitspit, and of course, rap snitch knishes. An addendum to this comment as I fix up the typos, I think that the best show of his production talent comes from the metal fingers albums, god damn perfection.

Your right! Don't know if anyone else said this in the comments but Adult Swim used DOOM beats in their bumpers. The ones with black screens and white text. He had a close working relationship with Adult Swim for a long time.
