Steven Wilson had two other bands of note. One is Blackfield and the other is "Steve Wilson" -- his personal band. His personal band has the greatest musicians I have ever seen playing in it. All stars of all stars. Early backfield stuff is fantastic. From his personal band one of the greatest songs of the 20th century is "Luminal" -> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wYfQ1I-VV7M.html but that same album has so many absolutely fantastic songs. His work with Ninet Taleb (an Israeli female singer) on the Raven that refused to sing is stunning. He personally oversaw the production a an animated short for each song. Best of which are: Routine ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sh5mWzKlhQY.html ), The Raven That Refused To Sing ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-n8sLcvWG1M4.html ) and Drive Home ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ycYewhiaVBk.html). For Blackfield, There's a live concert from New York with a bunch of songs on it. Its fabulous: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rhX3fiioIZM.html, must see are Once, Epidemic, Miss You, The Hole In Me, 1000 People and so much more.
PT catalogue is so vast - but a few more highly recommended - Even Less ( full version ), Lets Sleep Together, Fadeaway, Always Never, Remember Me Lover. All excellent.
You had the same reaction when I first heard PT, shocked but those lyrics speak the truth. If you're a fan of Gavin Harrison on drums you should check out his solo videos, he's one of the best. He also plays in another band called pineapple thief which is somewhat familiar to PT
I suggest the Porcupine Tree songs "Trains" - and "Blind House" and "Sleep Together" and "Nil Recurring" and "Of The New Day" and "Fear Of a Blank Planet" - they are all great songs - thanks
There is a video by Steven called Routine. Animated by Jess Cope (Harry Potter). I can't get through it without tears in my eyes. You need a kleenex. So right for the times, Buffalo Uvalde.
I wonder if you'd be interested in some classic rock? "Bread (1972) - The Bobby Darin Show ("Baby I'm-A Want You" the lead singer is David Gates and he has an amazing ability to comfort a broken heart. Just one band of so, so many wonderful artists of this era. Hope you give this a listen 🔥🎶🤗💖
@@TFOLLT i will do me and i do suggest stuff. I just think porcupine tree sucks....it's an opinion..i will never understamd why people have to reply to a comment i make on RU-vid just because they don't agree with me...i willl keep doing me and commenting on all RU-vid videos weather i like the video or not.ugh
@@the_irrelevant_fan at the end of the day it's up to him what he wants to react to. Go to another channel for reactions to YOUR favorite stuff. Posting a comment about it here is pointless.
@@the_irrelevant_fan ''i will never understamd why people have to reply to a comment i make on RU-vid just because they don't agree with me...'' I myself will never understand why people have to comment if they only have bad and useless things to say. I'm inviting you to suggest your stuff but obviously you're not here for constructive criticism.
