The gut with the deep voice is Bill Medlley. He an Jennifer Warnes did a duet for the film Dirty Dancing from the 1980s. The song was I had the time of my life. It was the final song. Also in that soundtrack were She's like the Wind sung by Patrick Swayze and Be My Baby by the Ronnettes
Great reaction - they are not brothers and I believe they took the name "Righteous Brothers" from a gig they played when someone yelled out how righteous they were. No auto tune and simply pure talent - can't beat it!
Fantastic talent, together and individually. Especially Bobby - no one can rival him. for proof listen to "SUMMERTIME" and Crying in the chaple- pure Bobby!
Hi Jasmine, If this was your 1st time hearing The Righteous Brothers, you are in for a treat!!! These Brothers can blow (both individually & together) and they will blow your socks off!!!
The Dynamic Duo Bill Medley (deep voice) & Bobby Hatfield. Many very good songs. Unchained Melody, Soul and Inspiration, For once in my Life, Ebb Tide, Little Latin Lupe Lu. Their in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and sure deserve it. Best success on yr channel
Not sure if she already reacted to unchained, but hopefully she reacts to the version that has the interview before he takes the stage. they talk about the name and why only one is singing.
OMG, these guys are so awesome. They melted us when they came out in 1964. I was in high school, and we just had to out buy their 45 rpm. Crazy teen agers from the 60's.
Elected to the R and R Hall of Fame in 2004 ......this is the most played song of the 20 th Century .......they have a roster of top drawer hits ...Like " you're my soul and Inspiration , And " UnChained Melody , which Bobby sang solo ..
Good reaction. I liked & subscribed. "Soul and Inspiration" is the follow up song. On the Ed Sullivan TV show they sing "You'll Never Walk Alone". Of course..you have to listen to the amazing blonde counter-tenor Bobby Hatfield singing the best live performance ever of "Unchained Melody" on the 1965 Andy Williams TV show. In 1991 it was featured in the movie "Ghost" & became a hit all over again. Find the video where Andy chats and jokes around with both Righteous Brothers 1st. They were regulars on the Shindig TV show from 1964-66 so there's quite a few b/w videos of them singing. Their 1st hit is Little Latin Lupe Loo and it's on Shindig. So is Bobby singing "Summertime". Bill Medley has an early bluesy record where he sings lead that will blow you away "I Wanna Make Love To You". They are in the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame.
bobby hatfield sings by himself(UNCHAINED MELODY) LIVE on the andy williams show, outstanding, also Elvis does a great version (you lost tha loving feeling)
The one by these guys that usually gets people is I Just Wanna Make Love To You. It’s a blues masterpiece. The dark haired guy, Bill Medley sings the main vocals and Bobby Hatfield, the blond, sings back up. It’s ridiculously good, and raunchy.
Live performance - 1964 - before auto tune and computer assisted voice/tone quality enhancements. Just pure talent. The best of "blue-eyed soul". The most requested and played song of the 20th century!
Jasmine I'm pleased you like them, they made some great music not all in the same manner, I was brought up on music like this. I like all kinds of music. Thank you 💗
Great reaction! Would love to see what you think of Janis Joplin’s singing from the soul - she leaves it all on the stage. Ball & Chain Live at Monterrey Pop Festival
You've got to see Bobby's live performance of "Unchained Melody " on the Andy Williams Show, 1965. You won't believe it. Its on you tube. He's wearing a hot pink jacket.
Elvis sang:! "You've Lost That Feeling" Live in Las Vegas in 1970 Could you please do: Elvis Without Love (I have Nothing) American Sound Studio (Take 5) Live 1969
Young lady where have you been hiding. You should have not only heard of the Righteous but, you should have heard of this and their other great songs. Now that you have heard them, are walking in the sunshine.
You like things that make you smile. This isn't a reaction request but check out Super Dave Bungee Jump. That's probably the funniest thing you'll see.
@@julien.4617 LOL!!! As great as the song is, I don't think it will be remembered almost a millennium from now. Sorry, that was SUPPOSED TO read 20th century. 🙂
I referred to them as the Blue Eyed Brothers of soul on my radio show. They are not biological brothers. Bill Medley baritone and Bobby Hatfield tenor.
Great reaction! If you like old school, b&w, simple and a phenomenal voice, I highly recommend Tom Jones “I’ll never fall in love again”!! Link is below…. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sdDVMCbG0FM.html
I have always loved this song, since it was first released. But I have come to realize that the singer's situation is hopeless, she is already emotionally detached, and despite his desperation there is no hope for that relationship. She is looking elsewhere, and while he could get her to come back for a short time, she will detach again soon. how do I know? I have been there, done that, and I have the scars to prove it. But the best revenge is living well, she lives near the poverty line, and my second wife and I have just purchased a new multi-$ home, all cash, and we are doing well. It could have been my ex's, but she chose to cheat and leave. I will let her wallow in her slop.
Why would you say such a thing? Cher sang backup in the studio version (not this one), and Sonny and Cher weren't together yet. Sonny never sang backup to them.
@@julien.4617 if you'll notice, the song is the studio version edited over the video. Here's the video with the original sound. So Cher IS singing on this. but you are correct about Sonny not singing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-03iSUjHaUxY.html
