No one sings a love song like Steve Perry! Love him! I still get teary-eyed when I hear “Faithfully” (when he was in Journey). Definitely give that one a listen 😊
Steve Perry is the lead singer of the band Journey. He is called “The voice.” Check him and Journey out live from Houston (the 1981 Escape tour). You will not be disappointed!
I'm so happy that you discovered Steve Perry. He is my all time favorite singer. Please watch Faithfully, Wheel In The Sky, and, my personal favorite, Still They Ride live in Tokyo, just for a start.
Just Steve on a dark soundstage with a music track, singing his heart out. All in one take. This must have been when he left the group "Journey" and went solo.
No, he just took a break and cut a Solo album cause he wanted to. One of the FIRST of many rifts with his bandmates. Steve, while a VERY talented GREAT singer and songwriter wa also a selfish person. NOT in a terrible way but I think the pressure of fame and fortune never set very well with him, and he did some things as a result of the pressure to maintain greatness. Neal Schonn was sadly the same in a lot of ways this the clash in the band. Sad times in Journey 😢 but the highs I got from they're music was so AWESOME, I am so thankful I lived through the 70' and 80's era.
Journey is your next "journey" "Open Arms" "Don't stop believin" "Who's crying now" "Faithfully" "Send her my love" "Separate ways" "I'll be alright without you" "Positive touch" "Suzanne" "Only the young" "Girl can't help it" "When you love a woman" and he has a relatively new song out "We're still here"
Steve Perry conveyed so much emotion in his vocals. He's truly an icon. I saw Journey 4 times in the 80s. He's just as good, if not better on some songs, live than the studio version. Great reaction. ❤
Steve is notorious for doing his vocals in one take, but this is not a live performance. It’s the studio version. As I said though, it could of been a first take performance
@@Jihavoh777 It a first take. The only take. It may not be considered live but there he is in all his greatness mastering his craft in one take. Somewhere there is an article/interview with Steve about this same subject.
What I enjoy about you is that you are Real !!. I've seen most every emotion you've had and your not repeating songs from same artist/group or color. You treat people by them being humans instead of colors
I think the popularity of black Americans, Jamaican and other islanders, etc. listening to popular music from the 70's and 80's and reacting to these things works well because there is a high plausibility that they are indeed first reactions and "discovery" of music that other people are very familiar with. It is always cool to see someone discover something you've known all along. I hope there are some young white people out there learning about this stuff too.... they need to add in 60's music of Sam & Dave and Sam Cooke as well for that soul. Kool & The Gang are one of my favorite bands of ALL TIME so I have always heard a bit of everything.... pretty much stopped listening to pop music in the 2000's because it is just overproduced and forgettable trash. I do get to hear a few of the gems that are made every year though... there is talent out there, it is the industry itself that pushes the junk not the artists.
