First Time Hearing Susan Boyle Britain's Got Talent Reaction Video - NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS!! 

I watched this live on TV when this happened and I must admit I had tears in my eyes when she was finished. One of the greatest performances ever!

My favorite moment of this video is when she can't hide a quick little smile just before she starts singing. I read later that she was used to being snickered at back in her village before she would perform at karaoke in pubs, etc. Susan knew EXACTLY what was about to happen in that auditorium.

Amanda Holden, the female judge, is a professional singer and actress herself which is why Susan was so proud and stunned by her praise. Susan Boyle herself has gone onto great stardom with several albums, a performance before the Queen and she is now worth millions. From all reports, she has always been a sweet unassuming woman and remains that to this day. But she was already a legend in her hometown, everyone knew she could sing as she did but had never done so outside of there. She finished second in the competition but has become the most successful act they ever had and Simon Cowell said that she saved the show with her performances. She's a gift to all humanity.

Simon was smiling because he saw dollar signs in his head. Simon and Susan went on to produce several albums and Susn is now a multi-millionaire and has remained the same humble person she has always been.

This is what they mean by having a, "Susan Boyle Moment". I cry and get goose bumps every time I watch this clip. It reminds me of a scene from an old 40's movie. Back stage before she performs her manager says, "Kid, you are going out there a nobody, but coming back a star." I love Susan Boyle. I just wish they had the golden buzzer back then."

It’s not just her voice. As soon as she starts singing, she owns the stage.

Susan still performs. Lives in the same little house that she has lived in all her life. When not working on her music, she helps out at the village shop. She is an example of honesty and integrity. Her humility and down to earth way is her nature. She practises her faith. I have no doubt, when God surveys the earth and He spots Susan, He smiles.

Susan Boyle has gone on to have that music career that she wanted. She's done a complete make over, has several albums and is now a multimillionaire. Her debut studio album, I Dreamed a Dream, was released in November 2009; it became the UK's best-selling debut album of all time. She's put out many albums since then and has quite the following.

I have watched this many times and it still gets me chocked up and emotional everytime. Such an awesome and powerful voice.

I seen this live when it first hit the tv, and it makes me proud to be Scottish, knowing she only lived 7 miles from me, she was amazing and have seen this over 500 times but still brings tears to my eyes.

One of the most respectable things about Susan is that when she became the global superstar she remains, she never became a pompous, strutting, arrogant entitled diva. If anything, she became even more humble, more sweet, and displays an attitude of gratitude to her fans. She is grounded, real, and such a sweet woman. That makes me love her even more!!!! One doesn't have to become obnoxious, vulgar, and contentious as too many entertainers are, to be a legend. Susan proves that decency, kindness, gratefulness, and meekness can bring a person quite far in life. She is the better example to point young girls to than the trashy acting stars in America!

The song "I Dreamed a Dream" is from "Les Miserables" - my all time favorite musical. It is set in the time leading up to and during the French Revolution. It is sung by the character Fontaine who is a single mother because she was used by a man who she thought loved her but he left when she got pregnant. She tries to do her best for her daughter but through a series of events is reduced to becoming a prostitute in order to pay for her child. So she sings about "I dreamed a dream in times gone by, When hope was high and life worth living" and ends with "I had a dream my life would be, So different from this hell I'm living...Now life has killed the dream, I dreamed". She is a very tragic character.

Since then she's gone on to have huge success while remaining completely down to Earth. Well done Susan.

One of my favorite BGT 1st auditions ever! Another favorite is the 1st audition of Charlotte and Jonathan. A real must watch. And also have a look at the 1st audition of Amira Willighagen from Holand's Got Talent.

I love that she put them all in their place with 2 notes of the song. Amanda was gracious enough to admit they were wrong to pre-judge. They were all stunned by her.

She's the greatest 'don't make a snap judgement story' ever because the judges and everyone in the audience were so sure she was going to be a bust. But damn! She schooled them all. I love it and love her.

This extraordinary lady went on to record many albums, sell millions of records, made a ton of money and has performed all over the world. She has performed for the Pope and the Queen of England, just to name a few of the notables who have been in her audiences. I would say she has gone on to great success. Oh, and by the way, she got an opportunity to do a duet with her idol Elaine Page, who is one of England’s most honored stage performers. She is extremely talented and Susan held her own wit Elaine. I love this video of Susan on BGT and I get a little emotional every time and see and hear this. What a simply stellar voice. You should check out the Finnish group 'Nightwish' with their Dutch singer, Floor Jansen at the Wacken Open Air Festival from 2013 as the headliner in front of over 82,000 people, doin their song "Ghost Love Score". It's called Symphonic Metal and believe me at almost 70 years old and raised up around Southern Rock, I'm NO metal head, but my kids got me listening to this about 4 or 5 years ago and I love this genre. When I thought about metal I always thought screaming , grunting, loud noisy guitars with an absence of melody anywhere to be found...this is not that at all. It's a combination of symphonic music and metal music with great story telling. Their singer studied vocal music for six years in Contemporary pop/rock music, Musical Theater music and Operatic music. Floor Jansen is the most versatile singer I believe I've ever heard. Jane H commenting ….I was living in England & watched this as it happened …. The moment a Star Was Born …. Susan went on to have a massive International career & made a lot of money along the way. Her & Simon became good friends. This is a real success story. Susan had that beautiful voice all along, but she stayed at home caring for her mother, who was unwell. So Susan sang in the church choir & sometimes would sing in local venues, but she had never had the chance to show her beautiful voice to someone who could help her launch a singing career. I don’t think she could ever had imagine the professional career laying before her. It was sad that her mother had passed by the time this happened, because her mother had always believed Susan would do very well if she just got the chance, & Susan went on to surpass Elaine Page in her career. When I see this Susan Boyle audition, it also reminds me of the Paul Potts audition from 2007 singing Nessa Dorma. Both of them were amazing singers and an unexpected surprise when they performed.

Susan, became an over night star, she coupld not handle, the press and stuff, nearly left the show, basicly went into hiding for a few days. She after the show became a world wide sensation, sang for the pope, as well as many others. This is I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables. There are very few spoken words in the whole thing. You should definitely watch any version of it whether it is the 2012 movie version with Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried and Russell Crowe or many others or even the concert versions. They are all good. Anne won an Academy Award for her performance of this song. Susan Boyle does it very well!

Suzan Boyle made it big after this audition. She came second at the end of the show and was signed by Simon Cowell. Since then she released 8 albums I'm told. Wooww!

Well she became a millionairess and redid her village home up as she wanted it. She has performed with people like Donny Osmond and made CD's etc. She did very well for herself. She was given a stylist and changed her a appearance slightly to please the masses. She's my age group but I thought she could have improved her look on the day. Still, she came a village - a simple life - so you have to remember that. Hairstyles and fashion aren't necessarily worried about in small villages.

That's why always, always give someone a chance and room to shine!
