Love it bro, gotta listen to Let it Happen too. Tame Impala is actually just one guy called Kevin Parker that does all the vocals, instruments, production etc, pretty fkn cool
I agree. MGMT is great. I saw m83 live they were fantastic. Way better than I expected. The drumming and singing/energy was incredible and Midnight city feels like a Depeche Mode song 🎧 in 2012 So great!! M83s Grammy nominated album “Hurry up we’re dreaming” is one of the best pop alternative albums of the 2010s decade. I feel like it’s a updated more rock influenced version of Moby’s 1998 album “play”. Both albums had songs that were/are used in multiple shows commercials and documentaries for years and years because they create so much emotion.
Kevin Parker the Australian musical genius is incredible. Parker who is Tame Impala writes, sings, produces and plays every instrument. No joke. The first two albums are the Best rock albums of a generation. No air play though so lots of people missed out because the state of rock is no longer main stream. Although it’s making a comeback pop wise. This album Currents was a pop approach and very solid album going fairly far away from his psychedelic rock albums “innerspeaker”is the first with heavy with dark synths and almost like Vanilla Fudge meets Cream in 2010 as Parker the one man band and the second album “Lonerism” which is more richer production of layers upon layers of drum effects and vocals will blow you away if you like the Beatles Mid to late 60s Beatles. Think of come together meets Lovey rita meter maid with a touch of Pink Floyd moments. If you dig that with Jon Lennon like sounding vocals at times I will say Lonerism is one of those rare albums you need to hear from start to finish.
Nice! Tame Impala is a vibe. Listening to it reminds me of chilling with the birds in the back yard last summer. When you're ready for more, check out some of their other songs: "Let It Happen", "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards", "Elephant", "Mind Mischief", "Sundown Syndrome", "Half Full Glass of Wine" ...
This song is such a perfect adaptation of the classic "boy meets girl, boy falls for girl, girl falls for other boy" trope. And the bass line that makes up most of the song is fantastic.
Reading a couple of the comments I find this is all the work of one man, its wonderful to listen to. I agree that the whole song is brilliant, your reactions are spot on in every one of your videos I've seen. I have never heard of this young man before but is great. Thank you for sharing something that is so new to me. Such talent and I hope more people learn of him. Take care and stay safe please my friends God bless you all love hugs and peace to everyone Mary-Ellen UK
Let It Happen is a masterpiece!!! Such an epic I don’t see anyone mentioning. Saw him in concert just a few nights ago in Toronto. Such a great live show. Always very trippy!
Oh to go back in time and listen to this song for the first time. I envy this man and anyone else graced by this song for the first time in their lives
I love the fact that I listen to Hawksbee and Jacobs on Talksport every day, who use this intro all the time, and it just randomly popped up on youtube for me 🙂
just saw your channel for the first time and you seem like a chill dude, love that you dont pause the song literally every second like many other youtubers, left a like
This is my favorite song so awesome to hear you liked it! If you like Tame Impala's guitar riffs definitely give "Mind Mischief" a listen. I hum it on a daily basis!
an Aussie band that eventually had Rihanna covering their song and constantly sampled by A$AP Rocky.' Tame Impala are nearly the best at this genre. Check out: Electric Feel - MGMT similar genre but from 2008 Sundress - A$AP Rocky (this is a great song by A$AP that samples Tame Impala)
If you haven’t seen their “live” performance of “Elephant “, you just have to watch this from Dublin. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8pG4kn_RloQ.html
Kevin Parker is a phenom. If you get a chance to check out Tame Impala live do it! I've seen them 3 times and will continue to grab tickets every time they come to town. It's a trip!
WOW! Love this songand the whole album, especially "New person, same old mistakes" at the end. Great, you give ut a try, pity yoz are missing the delicate video. 😊
Yay, newer stuff! Chet Faker "Gold"; Foals "Late Night" (this one builds so great); half alive "Still Feel"; James Blake "Retrograde"; Jamie XX "Loud Places"; Mormor "Heaven's Only Wishful"; Milo Greene "What's the Matter", "Move", "1957"; Men I Trust "Tailwhip"; Washed Out "You and I"; Shabazz Palace "Shine a Light" . . . I love all of these. I can go on and on. Try some Lana Del Rey, too.
Tame Impala is just the sound of the summer ❤️ not a fan of much Aussie music but there’s a lot of good modern bands/artists! V endearing when you started with “I’m not sure how many people will know…”, this is probably the most iconic bass line of the 2010s haha! Well over 1 billion Spotify streams 🤘🤘 “Let It Happen” “Borderline” and “Elephant” are also essentials
Watch the music video of this one! =D Tame Impala - The Less I Know The Better (Official Video) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sBzrzS1Ag_g.html
Great song and band. They have a pretty hot video out there too. Bastille is a similar band you might enjoy. Their song, "Good Grief" is a lot of fun. One of the videos is NSFW. This song was added to my playlist, "Be Hear Now" which features great stuff from the 21st century.
My dad killed himself this day along time ago but every year I listen to his favorite song and you love strong vocals nobody can outdo Billy Paul me and mrs jones please play this song for me and my dad butch I miss him
