My favorite Jim Carrey movie is The Truman Show, generally I'm not a fan of Jim Carrey, but in that movie he showed that he could act, instead of always playing the same character.

Coming from the era when it was generally not ok for boys/men to talk about having depression, anxiety, etc. I appreciate those that do. For me personally it still feels somewhat taboo I guess to openly speak on. Even from behind a screen. Was first diagnosed with depression only to be “upgraded” to bipolar disorder years later. Have had every kind of pill imaginable shoved down my throat at one time or another but all they ever did was make me numb. Not worse, not better, just existing. After over 2 decades of dealing with it I found that what helped me the most was constantly staying aware of my mental state and picking up on when I was about to cycle. By recognizing it was coming I could somewhat prepare for it, also let my loved ones know so they could also not be caught off guard. Idk thought it may help someone. To anyone dealing with anything like this just keep pushing til you find what works for you!

Maybe you can give Chef'Special - Afraid Of The Dark (Official Video) a listen. The lead singer was going trough a though time and was suffering from depresion. This is a beautiful song!
