This is a song that he wrote as an exercise while in therapy and you were spot on cuz he's talking to himself when he was a little kid. I can't wait for the music video for Happy and the new album!

This track is one of my all time favorites hits hard for me.

I went through a lot as a kid. So as an adult I have struggled with depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD. I would warn my younger self about how all of this is going to affect me as an adult. I would give advice to take care of myself and make sure to find a way to be happy. Because if I could have figured that out before it got as bad as it is now, it would change a lot....

Timeclock says I am 60 years old and I still get down on myself for wasted time. I am going for my BS in Design and starting a whole new life. Luckily, at 50 years old I started counting my age backwards so I am coming onto 39 next year.

nail'd it... i have abandonment issues as well so i relate to alot of this track and alot of his discography... the dialog with ourselves is the most important battle we all WILL face in our lives... your 30's or "when you become a parent" often times are the moment we can no longer "push off" that dialog with ourselves. This Track Is A Masterpiece. #LoveOverEverything (hopefully you can fit in the 2 songs from the ufc game.. they arent on the journey.. but i think they deserve more love (On Another Level, Im Ready) just for you.. no need to do a video for them.. but they are some HYPE before the drop! #LoveOverEverything

I was scared about becoming like my dad, an aggressive abusive asshale. Since I had a lot of aggression in me and around me growing up. Atleast now I am calm and that didn't happen. But I am all alone and closed myself off.

It would be awesome if you could react to "I miss the days" from the same album as "Nate" it's one of my all time favorite and I think underrated tracks and I think mostly because it wasn't released as a single but in my opinion the quality of it is excellent 🔥🔥

lot of people criticized this album for being this way. he refers to it as a "one trick pony" in "clouds"

At about 3:15 when Nate says "I don't know if you can hear me or not" I think it was more accurate to think he was talking to himself not about whether God hears him. It's something you would say to a young one who thinks they know everything. They may not hear you out right now, but one day it'll sink in. So Nate says Iono if you can hear me right now or not, but young me, if you can this is the advice I have for you. And I should know, I've gone through it already. Love NF

I didn’t come anything close to what I thought I would be. I grew up with so much insecurities and self hatred because of the things I went through. I thought I was going to be just like my parents just continuing the cycle of abuse and generational trauma. That’s why I was adamant about not wanting kids. When I was 19 and got pregnant I pushed myself to be better so that I could break that generational trauma and provide a good life for my kid’s. We haven’t had it easy, but my kids have a mom that loves them and they know it. They know I would do anything for them. I’m happy I didn’t end up following the statistics. I still have a lot of healing to do though.

as mentioned, this was either inspired, or literally this copy was written as part of a group exercise while he was in therapy.. and its an intense song. the last lines does show he knows Child Nate deserves kindness, which would in turn, also mean he's aware he knows he does too if theres a fear he's become who he was afraid to be.. however, i would implore you to listen to "Let Me Go".. b/c that song actually addresses Hope, begging God to finally introduce them. I, personally, find that track extremely powerful in its lyrics and the level of self awareness. he's always self aware.. but in Let Me Go.. theres a very potent dose of it, similar to "Nate". They even have a Easter Egg correlation.. In case you take me up on it, i'll leave a hint "Freedom".. 🤍 Cheers. #NFRealMusic

What I would say I was scared to be as a kid was abusive and an alcoholic. What I'd say to younger me though would be is "You're gonna do just fine. Keep your chin up and don't worry about anyone else."
