she released that song in 1991 20 years ago. she is 82 yrs old now so she was actually in her sixties. and she was still beautiful and cut with legs like a stallion, hence the horse in the vid, lol. also she still looked that good at 75 when she still was performing and she is still a beauty now.

We lost Tina Turner this May 24, 2023! So sad hearing about Tina Turner! What an icon she was! I seen Tina in concert the first time April 8, 1983 at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver second time at the Pacific Coliseum , Vancouver Oct. 6, 1987 and then November 27, 2000 at the Pacific Coliseum it was her final visit to Vancouver on a second goodbye encore performance!! R.I.P Tina Turner🙏

Tina needs her own marathon. The epitome of class, style, strength, & talent. My favorite is "River Deep Mountain High". There is a compilation video on youtube of her concerts for this song. I hope you will look for that one. Her biopic (Angela Basset) is excellent. I was mad at Laurence Fishburn for years after his portrayal of Ike Turner in the movie"What's love got to do with it".

Tina Turner is the "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll". She has spanned over 6 decades of music. She started out with her husband Ike & had some great hits such as "It's Gonna Work Out Fine", "River Deep-Mountain High", "Proud Mary" & "Nutbush City Limits". But she had even bigger hits when she went solo such as "The Best", "Better Be Good To Me", "Private Dancer", "Typical Male", "I Don't Wanna Fight", "GoldenEye" (James Bond movie) etc. Turner also released a duet with Bryan Adams "It's Only Love".

Been waiting for you to discover Tina! She was in the We the World video. She was 52 in this video, and currently 82. You would benefit from her story. Coming from one abusive relationship to another. Then finally coming into her own, becoming independent and strong woman. In the 1980s she was the Queen of Rock, known for the best legs in music. There is a song by Rod Stewart called Hot Legs. The album cover is…. Her legs. Her voice is strong and sensual, her performances are powerful. She broke barriers in the music industry along side of Gladys Knight, Diana Ross. Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Mary Wells, Dionne Warwick, Ronnie Spector. I’ve seen the term “rabbit hole” used a lot. This is women is a good lesson in strength, success, respect, talent and beauty. She is the rabbit hole.

My favorite video from Tina is,” What’s love got to do with it?”. I highly recommend that you watch Tina and Ike Turner videos from back in the day. Tina was a beautiful ball of energy on stage. The movie with the same title as above is about Tina’s hard life and road to success.

The documentary on HBO max, Tina, is absolutely one of the best I’ve ever seen. She was my first concert when I was 14. It was life changing. She is a true hero and it’s a real story of triumph over tragedy.

I remember watching her on TV with her husband Ike back in the early 70's when they had a hit with "Proud Mary." She was a powerhouse back then, you could NOT take your eyes off of her! But after years of abuse, she finally broke free from Ike, and successfully launched her solo career. Ike was not so fortunate & never really fully regained his prior popularity status. Many great tunes for you to check out from her still, to use your words "keep it gong!" 👍👍👍

She's had an incredible life - a lot of hardships and she triumphed over it all. Sooo much stuff to discover with her. It's the most fun to watch her live with her dancers and herself dancing up a storm. Her most iconic, to me is "Proud Mary" going way back to when she was with her abusive ex-husband, Ike Turner - who originally discovered her. I feel that even if he hadn't discovered her, she would've eventually been discovered. Too talented not to have been. As others have mentioned, Angela Bassett played her in the movie "What's Love Got to Do With It" (also the title of her triumphant return song). Angela received the Oscar for the role. Please keep going with TIna!

You gotta do the Aussie version of this song with Jimmy Barnes of Cold Chisel!. It will bring you Down Under thru Jimmy to Aussie Rock Legends!. I saw Tina in Sydney in the late 80's and was sold!. She was in Mad Max beyond Thunderdome and also sang the theme some "We don't need another hero". Absolute Queen and Legend. She sang this song for our National Rugby League Football competition!. Aussies love Tina big- time!.

If you watched Edgar Winter's live version of Frankenstein, that was him on the sax in this song. It's maybe his third instrument and he's still good enough at it to get the call to be on a huge album like this. As an aside, she also makes all of her own wigs.
