Tyler is the lead singer and Josh is on the drums - they are a duo and they create all of their own music - everything behind their music has deeper meaning and they mix it with upbeat music - they are known for their live performances - they really don't have a genre - they'll mix it up for almost every song They do have 3 huge hits you may have heard - Stressed Out, Ride, and Heathens i'd recommend: Migraine Ode to Sleep Trees (Live from Fox Theater)

This video is actually perfectly timed releasing just 3 days after the 10 year anniversary of the album vessel, which this song officially released in!

You guys did figure out some of the symbolism, the song is deeper than what it seems at the surface. I hope you continue this journey with twenty One pilots they are amazing group. And it is two band members Josh and Tyler although Tyler does most of the songwriting and he does the singing. I think you will love the journey they do not fit in a box into one specific genre. They are very unique and every song has meaning and usually deep meaning. Keep up the great reviews and I can't wait to watch more.

Just wow!! First time listening to these guys and you got them right away, very impressive!!! I think you would really enjoy more of their songs, most are a lot more up beat than this one starts out like, but the lyrics are typically similar in subject matter. You did really good for first time hearing. There's lots of meaning in the lyrics, and video. This really happened to him, but its also a metaphor of how "sometimes quiet is violent" and how we distract our mind out of dark thoughts with noise. This band follows a story within their lyrics, videos, and social media. I would really suggest to go un chronological order, or to at least be aware that if you do different albums, you will be in different stages of the story. For this same album I would suggest: -Ode to sleep (official video) -Holding on to you (live at Fox Theater) -Migrane (official video) -Guns for hands (official video) -Tress (live at Fox Theater) Hope to see more of your reactions!

Please please please dive into the TOP rabbit hole. As others have probably said, their music deals a lot with mental health and battling with depression, and anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. Their entire message can be boiled down to two words. "Stay Alive" There's even an entire story/lore that technically begins with Heavydirtysoul off the Blurryface album, as that video is a sort of prequel to the events of the Trench Album, where the story of Dema actually starts. As for song recommendations, basically, you can't go wrong with pretty much anything off Vessel or Trench. But if you really want to go on a feels trip, listen to 'Friend, Please', 'Trapdoor', 'March to the Sea', 'Taxi Cab', or 'A car, A torch, A death'. These are off the first self titled album.

I aways felt that when the audience/fans carried him to the stage means, "to get through life, we need help and sometimes need to be emotionally carried and supported."

This seems to be a struggle for most reactors but it is a futile task. None of their songs sound the same they are in their OWN LANE! Now there is LORE with this group that we the fans will have to explain so you understand certain videos and lyrics. You will need to trust us and do them in the order we tell you to because it’s VERY DEEP. There is a world created called DEMA which represents the dark parts in Tyler’s brain where he fights depression,anxiety and suicidal thoughts. You MUST KNOW there is ZERO glorifying of suicide although heavy topics there is always hope behind their lyrics and wisdom for those fighting this as well. Now we can go ahead and throw some songs to wet your whistle BEFORE we get into the LORE videos. You will question things like the meaning behind his black neck and hands so gonna explain that. That is a representation of Tyler’s insecurities of his voice that sings the music and the hands that create it. I will b surprised as others have mentioned if you haven’t heard STRESSED OUT, HEATHENS, or RIDE. Stressed out had a tad of the LORE in it which was our intro to BLURRYFACE! We will explain that in time. So for now I’m going to recommend non lore songs. Welcome to the rabbit hole of Twenty One Pilots! They have so many deep BARS in their songs. You have to start with the earlier stuff because it all connects. They are like NF the way they connect their songs. It’s their on universe. Start with the album Vessels. That’s where it all starts to connect. They have an earlier album named after themselves but do those songs after. This is the order you should go in. Start with “Car radio”, then “Ode to Sleep”, “Migraine”, “Holding on to you”, “Guns for hands”, and “Trees”( live from the fox theatre). After that album you’re gonna head to “Blurryface”. From that album you should listen to “Stressed out”(I’m sure you guys have hear this one already) after that do “Lane Boy”, “Ride”, “Tear in my heart”, Fairy local”, The judge”, Message man”, “Goner” and finish with “Heavydirtysoul” but I know you guys have done that one already. Then it goes to the album “Trench”. Start with “Jumpsuit”(it’s the continuation of Heavydirtysoul) then “Nico and the Niners”, “Levitate” after that do “The Hype”(Regular version and Berlin version) then “Cholrine”, “Neon Gravestones”, followed by “Moph”, “Bandito”, “Pet Cheetah” and finish with “Leave the City”. There are so many people whose first language is english and they do not pick up on the depth and complexity of the lyrics and meaning of the song. You have my respect and appreciation. There's no problem with discussing your thoughts when you pause throughout the song, that's what reactions are all about. Glad to have discovered you both! TOP is a phenomenal duo with an insanely good catalog! Definitely here for more reactions!

One thing to keep in mind is most songs feel resolved or at least the upbeat music counteracts the lyrical content. But even if not...what Tyler writes and sings about are feelings and thoughts that he himself has and often continues to deal/struggle with. So the fact that he writes, records and plays these songs live alone is proof enough that he has survived them. They are an amazing vibe and they are a treasure trove for those that love to decipher lyrical content with emotion/psychological ideas even if some of them are abstract. But suffering from a fair amount of what he has written about...his metaphorical approach to difficult-to grasp psychology terms and emotional feelings can help even those who do not suffer from them get an idea of what it is like to deal with such things. And check out live videos. Also, see them live. But watch some live videos because the crowd interaction in this video is a fraction of what they do. Ever see a drummer and his drum set crowd surf? You will.

This song is good to show importance of music as distraction for your depression Early Song: Talks abt being silent. No radio. Silent is violent. Force to think of fear. Depression. Middle song: Give audience a taste of car radio sound like. Dope music come in. (To show the music is a good distraction of overthinking). Everyone fell in this trap because dope concert thingy and dope music edm-my beats. Finishing: Remind again abt the fear, the silent, and thinking. But everybody seem forgot it because of the car radio music distraction before. So at the end everybody choose "sleep" over "faith".
