Hey Brandon! I'm back from a 6 day nightmare in the hospital. I had pancreatitis. Still need to have my gallbladder removed. I did see Chris and Alan several times once the drugs started. They are jamming constantly on The Ultimate Stage!!!🎸🥁🕊🕊🕊🕊👍🙏😎
Personally, one of my five favorite Yes songs and my absolute favorite since Awaken. A masterpiece from the 80s. Of particular note, this is one of only 5-6 songs I never get tired of hearing on repeat.
Great song today….it’s one of my favorite tracks from the album. I got to see the Big Generator tour twice, remember it as being amazing (as is every Yes show I’ve seen)! You’ve still got so much Yes to discover 😮!!
My favorites from this album are "Shoot High, Aim Low", "Final Eyes", "I'm Running" and the gorgeous album closer "Holy Lamb: Song for Harmonic Convergence", penned by Jon Anderson.
Saw that tour in Buffalo NY. Still have my concert pin i bought 😊 and bought the cassette (yes...cassette, even though i have the album aand CD) recently as well. Love the entire album.
Hey there. Great news, I already reacted to Machine Messiah recently! Here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J61uPev6O7Q.htmlsi=08dJTViy9TH1Wfhl
Discovered this song lately, very good and captivating. Even if heard many Yes Songs I probably missed this, my mistake. A great one, in the line of 90125 also with Trevor Rabin, what a guitar master, by the way. Sure, Jon's voice presence are conforting that it's Yes, because it could be another great band, because it isn't typically what they usually delivers. This was somehow progressive and deep. Thanks!
Brandon, enjoyed your reaction to this!!! From Big Generator I definitely recommend "Final Eyes" and "Rhythm of Love"!! "Final Eyes" is absolutely beautiful and turns into an amazing production!! Can't recommend it enough!!!
Someone shouted, "Open the door" Look out! One of those dynamic section you speak about. Easily my favorite song on the album, and that tour, and one of the best of the decade...by them or anyone. There are two Trevors, of all things, and the other one sounds even more like Jon, as I recall. Rabin and I share birthdays. Gotta relate to him. When I think of Yes in the '80s, I think of "Owner" of course, but also "Madrigal", "Awaken", "Onward" and sometimes "It Can Happen". Also, the exquisite and heartbreaking "Turn of the Century". "Awaken" and "Close to the Edge" are insuperable, and are probably their peak achievement as a band. 9 out of 10 dentists agree.
This is a good album. I like "The Rhythm of Love". Here's a good spiritual one that you should do: "In the Presence of". Really good symphonic live version here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X_KDXoMB5wg.html
Hi. I have never heard of such a feature on Patreon. On some of my videos here, there is a "thanks" button to donate, but RU-vid determines which videos have it and which don't...
My favorite Yes albums from the 1980s: 1980 - Drama 1983 - 90125 1989 - Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe (I know it's not technically Yes, but it virtually is Yes! ;-) and after that I generally lost interest in the band, for no particular reason I can recall.
DO NOT miss out on "Keystudio!" (It's the studio tracks that were on the "Keys to Ascension" live albums. Recorded around 1996, though the CD wasn't put together until a few years later.) It's brilliant! If you loved "ABWH" you will definitely love "Keystudio."
