It is pronounced Tripura - as in trip+ura. Most Indian proper nouns are written phonetically - if it was called Trypura, then they would (usually) write it so. Just follow the lead of the folks around.

It's not his fault in English it is pronounced Tripura as Trypura ,Treepura if u want to let him pronounce properly Let you Re-name the state.Its correct how he pronounced according to the spelling bru ,
