I was visiting my Brother who worked in Oslo Norway 🇳🇴 he asked me to attend this concert when Angelina was 12 years old, I had previously heard about Angelina that she had won Norway Got Talent at 8 years old, and was interested to hear her music, When she sang ( It’s A Man’s World) I was blown away at her vocal abilities, fond memories of that concert, great reaction thanks 🙏

Ace, this concert was in honor of the military band´s 200th anniversary. The year before they had recorded "It´s Magic" with Angelina Jordan when she was 11 years old. For this special event, they asked her to perform in front of the Prime Minister herself and a lot of so called important people. Professional recording cameras were forbidden. She is 12 here. This concert was to launch the album, It's Magic, celebrating 200 years of the military band. There was no professional recording allowed, so all we have is this cellphone recording. Like you, we all wish we'd been there to hear the real thing! The version of this song on the album is a studio recording and arguably does not have the punch of this live concert performance, but it is still well worth listening to.

Great reaction! This concert was held at a Norwegian military fortress, and no professional recording equipment was allowed. As other Comments makers below say, this band is the Staff Band of the Norwegian Army and it has longevity, to be specific, 200 years of it that year and so they released a special CD to mark the occasion. Being a military band, it marches in parades and appearances and so does not have Strings. There is a piano, as at this event, but, of course that is for the special performances. The album, 'It's Magic', was created just a few months prior and Miss Jordan, renowned even then as a special Norwegian performer of note for her Norway's Got Talent success on national television, was the singer even then, though younger and indoors so will not be perceived as powerful as at the outdoor venue we are watching above which is also a 'military' site of sorts, namely, the 'Karpedammen', translated: The Fish Pond', which is a kiosk built in front of the stone wall of the ancient fortress that protected the capitol city, Oslo at the port. Oslo is also Miss Angelina Jordan Astar's birth city. There was a moat in front of the walls and this 'pond' is the last of that and the stone wall is behind the kiosk. This place can accommodate maybe a thousand or two on chairs on the other side of the pond from the stage and is often used as an entertainment venue and tourist attraction as many well-known Norwegian acts and performers appear here. As your video ended there was a link in the lower right-hand corner for her exceptionally fine performance of 'Unchained Melody', at the important internationally recognized Nobel Peace event, also held in Norway, land of its origin. This is, of course, held indoors and the singing is accompanied with a full orchestra, this time the Norwegian 'KORK', the Norwegian National Radio Orchestra, which Miss Jordan Astar has also sung with previously to a performance of 'Summertime', which you should definitely add.

There exists a high quality live, only audio, recording of this same song where she sings this song with a regular band, not an orchestra. There you can really hear how unbelievably amazing she was already when she was just 12 years old. These two versions are not totally same in arrangement wise (this orchestra version is a little bit better I think) but still when I heard that high quality only audio version the first time I thought that this is not just possible. She just doesn't sound at all like some 12 year old singer on that recording. She sounds so mature and extremely confident and the feeling is so strong there it is just something you really can't understand. I would be amazed even if I heard something similar from a 30 year old singer, let alone a 12 year old singer.

I tried to make a top 10 list once. Wrote down just from memory a list of songs I thought had to be heard because of something special with the how or way she sang it. I then REMOVED 15 songs I still felt top 10 worthy, and the list was still over 25 strong.

Haha! Top 5? Most angels "joke" that they have 100 or so in their top ten. I do have a top three with a couple of her newer ones right up there. Bohemian Rhapsody (AGT), Summertime (NGT), "I Put a Spell On You". But, "Now I'm the Fool", "Good in Goodbyes" and "Diamond" are right up there. But so is Mount Everest, Feeling Good, I'd Rather Go Blind, and on and on it goes. While the studio version of this song does have better sound quality, Angelina on stage is always something special. Enjoy whatever you find.

Like her Las Vegas shows no video equipment allowed only phones (due to important dignitaries in audience in the Norway concert). The LV videos edited by James Thiel and Big Angie Fan are almost professional quality in 4k and the audio is very good considering it's just phone footage. This was a concert to promote her CD "It's magic" which was released on 15 June 2018. The concert WSS on the following day. There are no official recordings, but Boris Palnovski, an ardent Angelina fan, was present throughout the concert and obtained permission to record every performance. Nice reaction to one of my favorite AJ covers. The same year as this concert with the Norwegian army orchestra, she also participated in a concert at a jazz festival. She is accompanied by a super good band, especially the guitar with a very nice little solo. You will notice that the arrangement is different and that she adapted her interpretation and made different choices.

There has never been a female singer, and probably not even a male one, who could go into the stratosphere like she does here, and then go into the lowest of a sustained register for the gospel song 'How Great Thou Art'. Not even Elvis stayed in that sustained low register for the length of time she does when he sang the song.

Angelina is a music genius. For me one of the best actual woman vocalist. You’ll be more impressed, when you know that english is her third language. She can speak several languages and plays more instruments. She has covers and she has composed original songs too. She makes her own arrangements and the musicians call her “the boss”. There’s a beautiful story behind why she performs barefoot and she has published a book with this story. I think when she was only 9 years old. You’ll be amazed, when you react to her cover “I’d rather go blind”, when she was 10-11 years old, sitting in a couch and only a microphone in her hands. That's all of our gripes. No question. So ridiculously good we clearly need to be plugged into that Amp, with a balanced and perfect audio, simply for the sake of. You shouldn't even be able to tell how much you are missing out on cellphone audio, but you can tell we're missing out on the craziest of performances from someone 12 and a half the world will ever see. And yeah I'm angry. 😂 But I guess lucky us we even get to know how angry we are.
