A band with keyboard and synth will always sound more cosmic and fuller than guitar only bands! The spectrum of imagination and what emotions you can convey just got 10 fold with good keys!
Never apologize for being emotional. Music can bring so many things to the surface, it’s crazy! 🙂🙃 I’m leaving this comment about a year after your video aired (discovered your channel about a month ago), but if by chance you get to read it, I’d like to suggest 2 Porcupine Tree songs you haven’t reacted to yet, from their album "Stupid Dream": "Even Less" and "Stop Swimming". These 2 mind blowing songs make me emotional and they go so well together, they are absolutely worth every second of your time!!! I really really appreciate your channel, thank you for all that wonderful music!!!
They make me emotional too; their song Russia on Ice makes me cry because it makes me think of my son and his alcoholism and because it's just such a darkly powerful song. And the last few minutes of Anesthetize is pure beauty and so hypnotic.
I was absolutely mesmerized by the last few minutes…. Wonderful song. I’ll have to check out that song as well… I’m sorry there is bad attached to it for you 😢
I loved your reaction! I cry every time I listen to it. PT is my favorite newer generation prog rock band! Steven Wilson is genius. I studied him in all his incarnations. Some of his solo work after PT is next level stuff. The concert at the Royal Albert Hall is so amazing!
Yeah, def one of my top favs. Here's another one for ya (and I've actually been present to see Steven Wilson himself admiring him live...) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-di9xaUBKY5I.htmlsi=95QyUqyN12yonLZw
This one definately cuts deep bro... No need to apologise for showing emotions, that's what music is for in my opinion. I was crying right along with you dude, life is hard, and pretending it isn't will poison your soul. 🤟🤟🤟 P. S Fear of a blank planet next please....
Super react man...hugs from a fellow PT guy.....helped me through alot of shit i didn't expect man. Love all of PT....the one that did it for me (other than this song) was "Flicker" Something about the production and emotion about it....idk....hopefully this comment is not too late....RU-vid can be lost....when we all move on to something else.
Music heals. Emotional purges are necessary to detoxify. This is why I enjoy reaction videos, seeing people have personal experiences which are often very spiritual in nature, revealing something we need to feel. Thank you.
❤ Please, no need to apologize for your emotions coming out. This one can, and does hit the feels hard. It was a beautiful reaction L33. I'm glad you didn't edit it.
Thank you belle. Yeah that was alot I’m not gonna lie haha. I don’t even know what did it exactly either.. that’s the funny part haha. I’m glad I didn’t either❤️ that was amazing.
@@floridabelle man I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the proggier Opeth and have my mind blown 😂 halloween special is gonna be watershed (hopefully) I thought you guys would like that
@@L33Reacts Definitely proggier Opeth will do that to you too, as well as the ballad type. 'Faith in Others' for instance. And this coming from someone that doesn't much care for ballads. All of Mikael's though, are superb in my opinion. ********Until then though, h3ll yeah, I'm so excited for Watershed!!!*******
@@L33Reacts Watershed is gonna be great. Its a really good album to make a full reaction to, since it doesnt really have those "hit songs" that Ghost reveries has, but it is an incredible piece of art, especially when beeing listened to as a whole!
Music is catharsis for all of our emotions. It helps us cope, process and heal. All we need is the right song to hit us in our soul and it forever changes us.
Your absolutely right Tim. It’s one of the best healers in the world. It also is one of the best time traveling aids as well if you want to relive a moment 😂😂🤘
Your crying made me cry too. I just wanted to hug you. This song is both amazing and beautiful. You don't ever have to apologize for showing your emotions. It only makes it more real and genuine to me 😉
What an incredible reaction man, I was mesmerized when I first listened to this song and still do even today. Never really cried tho (at least not externally), but this song deserves all the praise that it gets and more. Listening to PT is always like letting my soul embark on a long yet beautiful journey. Also I'm really looking forward for the Watershed reaction! Keep rocking!! \m/
I'm so happy you found Porcupine Tree and loved it. Always makes me happy seeing others experience the joy I feel myself of Porcupine Tree's beautiful genius.
‘Waters so warm…………….’ one of the most beautiful sections in PTs repertoire and the end of that final section gets me every time. You are not the only one.
@@L33Reacts Unfortunately missed your Halloween cut off but would throw in Nightwish ‘Shudder before the Beautiful’ live from Wembley 2015 and Architects ‘ Animals’ from Abbey road studios with orchestra for two new slants on metal to what you seem to have done so far. Hopefully you can add them to your list which I guess is already gigantic but both bands are so worth an introduction.
@@scifimonkey3 I love that song by architects actually! It was one of the few I liked off that album. But nightwish is new to me! I will take a look. Thanks bro!
I'm glad you left this video as is.I reacted exactly the same way to this song and a lot of Porcupine Tree's other songs... they make you so emotional... like any phenomenal musicians would do! These guys are my absolute favorite band to listen to and I'm almost 60! I wish I heard of them way sooner !Steven Wilson is a genius and Barbieri...a wizard on those synths... all of them together add their craft and could not be better! I still cry every time I hear certain PT songs and love it! Thanks for sharing ..never apoogize for showing how music moves the soul ! Stay blessed!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m glad I left it up as well… I rewatched it after reading your comment and I started crying again lol… I guess this really hit a tender spot. I love it. I’ve heard sooo many songs of theirs now and I love every one of them. Absolute master class in musicianship.
Thank you so much my friend. It means a lot. This is my personal favorite as a creator. I was very open and obviously had a lot on my mind. I'm glad I could share this with y'all.
The amount of times I've teared up listening to them is astounding, they make you feel everything. The song they play right after this one never fails. It's called Sentimental, I would definitely recommend it especially the live version from this same show.
Yeah I definitely felt all the feels from this one. Can’t even put my finger on what exactly it was that did it either 😂 I will take a look! Thank you James🤘
You know you've come across music that is truly exceptional when it can move you in the way it did. Bravo, you've found that rabbit hole of music that is Steven Wilson & Porcupine Tree! Welcome
I listen to a lot of music on this channel and Porcupine Tree is tied for first with Tool as my favorite discoveries on here 😎 you are absolutely correct 🙏
19:47 - Don't be sorry. :) Your reaction, like I said earlier, shows that you are TRULY reacting to this great music and that you are willing to let the music move you.. As it should. :) Man, you are strogn letting the internet to see your pure, raw, emotional reaction and that is why we are here. PT is a journey. It is emotional. And it is deep (personal opinion). If possible, try to get the lyrics of the song(s) you are reacting at hand unless you feel that reading them would distract you from your true reactions. :)
I saw them live in Paris in november the 2nd last year for the new album "Closure/Continuation" Tour. "Anesthetize" was in the setlist. All the show was amazing. And "Trains" as a final was awesome !
Welcome to one of the deepest and most rewarding music “Rabbit Holes” ever. And as a drummer, you were watching the genius of Mr. Gavin Harrison who IMO is one of the best progressive rock drummers ever. And if you start focusing & researching him as a drummer, welcome to what will probably become “Rabbit Hole” #2 for you. And, their music can bring the deepest human emotions right to the surface. Enjoy~!!
I think the emotion is beautiful and I totally get it. Music made out of passion can do that. I think the last 40 seconds of this song is some of the most beautiful music ever written.
BROOOOO! I have stumbled across your arriving somewhere but not here reaction today and this was the second. I almost cried with you. This song is AMAZİNG and really emotional. DONT EVER feel sorry for crying and showing emotion, its just shows how sincere you are. You got one dedicated subscriber my friend :)
Wow thank you so much for the kind words my friend! This reaction was hard to post I'm not gonna lie but I'm glad I did. There will be plenty more PT reactions here, they might be my favorite new band I found on the channel... But keep that between us 🤣
What a ride! Amazing reaction, I love their music! "Trains" is the one that hooked me , its so beautiful melodic and has a freaking banjo in it! but yeah Anesthetize is a masterpiece so awesome you discovered it!
I've watched this Tilburg performance so many times and I finally saw them live for the first time 6 days ago in London. When they played this I felt emotional too. I never thought I'd get to see them live as I only 'discovered' them in 2016 so there was no hope of any tour / new material then. What a gig and what a band. Such incredible musicians...
That's so awesome you got to see them! I'm really jealous haha a few other commenters have said the same thing so I'm happy for all of y'all! Such a great band an even better song.
2:10 - Richard Barbieri is a magician on the keys. He was part of a band "Japan" back in the day, if you want to check them out take "Ghosts": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7zzLU1ato2w.html
Wow what a humble reaction man, these guys pull my heart everytime, hard to explain but their music just gets inside me, Steven Wilson is just a genius! His solo stuff does the same! I’m glad you took this journey. Hope you stick with these guys, they have so much fantastic stuff out there, you want to see them all out then go for “hatesong” another live performance worth the watch, “way out of here” and “dark matter” also brilliant performances 😃 loved that reaction. 😉
Thank you so much Michael!! Yeah this one hit me hard… I don’t usually cry and especially on camera haha obviously I felt something deep from it. I’m definitely gonna continue down this road, it’s too good to get off! 😂
i don't always vibe with porcupine tree's material but when they're on point, they create some of the most gorgeous music imaginable. This song is perhaps the epitome of that. Every instrument, voice and lyric is perfect. It makes me cry happy tears too.
Loved the reaction buddy! Have a subscription😊. Porcupine Tree are absolutely amazing. Especially live. I’m flying to Amsterdam tomorrow to see them. You’re gonna love the rabbit hole. Have a listen to The Start of Something Beautiful, Time Flies, Arriving Somewhere But Not Here, Dark Matter….there’s so much fantastic music to discover!
NEVER apologize for emotion. Dude, your a new dad. Whatever you are going through, you experienced a form of worship. The Father seeks those who release their spirit and emotion in space. He'll catch yours and embrace you if you let Him
So you know, I don't want you to react to this. It's a song i wrote being a dad of 4 kids (34,32,30 and 21 now). It's a song of my experience being a dad. I didn't have a present dad growing up. All new for me....love! I hope you can embrace it as you embrace fatherhood. Randy
Is nice to see the reaction and comments, and pls, no apologise we are all humans and this is so a great song, this was the same to me the first time I listening, they choose the correct name of the tittle we are almost sleeping balancing of the sounds and for my part like drunk or taking some drucks or whatever... amazing song and Steve band is great great great !
Those are tears of joy, my friend. Want to switch gears with PT? Listen to “So Called Friend” from the Chicago concert, or “Mother and Child Divided” from the same concert…..
Awesome react, bro, I've cried with ya haha From that concert, try: -Fear of a Blank Planet -Way Out of Here -Cheating the Polygraph -Normal And from the new album: -Harridan -Chimera's Wreck -Rats Return -Herd Culling From another albums or concerts: -Halo -Bonnie The Cat -Sound of Muzak -Hatesong (Live) -Futile Enjoy! :)
6:18 - Gavin Harrison is one of the greatest drummers alive. Check out his drum cam of "Cheating The Polygraph": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qtPMleTKpyw.html This is originally an PT song, but that is a bit more ... jazzy than the original. Main thing still is that you can see Gavin doing his magic. :) Please?
That’s a crazy good idea!! Thank you so much! I will definitely take a crack at doing that ❤️❤️ thank you for all your comments! I will try to respond to all but kids making my replying slow 😂😂 thank you again!
@@L33Reacts I am happy that you are at least considering that. ;) And I am waiting for the possible implementation. ;D And hey.. Your kids are your number 1 priority so do not feel bad if you have to cut your video because of him/her/them! I am pretty sure that I say this on behalf of at least 90% of your viewers. :)
Such an emotional reaction! but it was real, thats what I like about your videos. If you want to go for something that pumps you up a little bit more, go for Vektor - "Recharging the Void"
Haha 😂 I meant just good prog in general I think but hey this song had me off my game🤦♂️ I haven’t touched the stuff in two years now so maybe I forgot how good it was 😝😂
@@L33Reacts Yeah, you know I'm just playing around. Never touched it myself but I've heard it's so damn good that I should stay as far away as possible. Anyway, Cheers and Happy Halloween to everyone!
