I was seventeen and heard this song on the radio while driving home from school. I was so struck I had to pull over and just listen. That pitch shift when he says "mr. JONES" is hard to replicate for me

Man, you nailed it as a real life experience for me personally. Came out when I was a freshman in an American high school. Was the first song I played in the car when I got my license and took my first drive alone. All-time favourite song to this day. Glad you enjoyed the vibe too, and big thanks for the reaction.

The Counting Crows first 2 albums were, in my opinion, their best work. Their songs got me through a lot of life back then (and still)💜 And I've seen them a few times live and they always put on a good show!

You did NOT just say who's Bob Dylan!!!?? Lol. Only one of the best musicians to walk this earth thus far! One of the best song writers and most influential people in music!! He has timeless masterpieces such as "Hurricane", "Mr. Tambourine Man", "Knockin' on Heavens Door", and "Like a Rolling Stone". I highly recommend giving him a listen!
