I Love Fauzia's voice! Her Vibrato is her "signature sound", it's distinctive because of the speed of her vibrato, it almost sounds like she has a fluttering-butterfly inside her throat. She sounds so stunning. I haven't felt this much interest in an artist since I discovered Aurora Aksnes, TY for your reaction & analysis.

There are three versions of Faouzia’s “Tears of Gold” that are good for comparing. - fully produced “Official music video” Nov 2019 - informal “stripped” version Jan 2020 - concert “stripped live” version Sep 2020 The first is electronic dance vibe. The second is raw. The third is her and a pianist but in a pseudo concert setting. Interesting comparison. Especially if you’ve heard the remarkable Daneliya Tuleshova cover it on America’s Got Talent.

@@wildflo267 I’ll vote for the concert version, except for the very last bit from the stripped version. From the big pause at the end, with the profile close up, right before she belts out the chorus for the last time. That pause to catch a breath, and the last chorus is heartbreaking.

Hey awesome astute reaction - I'd love to see you do more of her songs. She has a pretty good collection on RU-vid and you can find "Stripped" versions of most of her songs. There are also at least 2 live concerts (Abu Dhabi and Stripped). She also has some pretty amazing covers: Set Fire to the Rain, Middle Child, Loneliness, Dessert Rose. Thanks!

The Quick vibrato is du to her arabic morroccan origin .. in fact she use a quarter notes that only exist in arabic songs... Plus she an insane vocal range... She is songwriter piano and violon player... She is Queen.

Faouzia is Very special, she is maroccan but she grew in Canada, she wrote all her songs and she also plays many music instruments, her riffs and runs are typically arabic that's Why she intrigues you

This reaction crossed my feed again. You may wish to revisiit Faouzia. She has a new video release, a live performance video of her song Fur Elise. She has also been taking part in Singer 2024 from China. They are heading into Round 4. So far, she has sung Crazy (Gnarls Barkley), Set Fire to the Rain (Adele) and Desert Rose (Sting). Placing second in the first round and winning the last 2 rounds. She is taking China by storm, and surprising the folks there as most had never heard of her.

Her Moroccan background, powerful vocal, and incorporation of Arabic elements reminds me of Diana Ankudinova. Their range may work well together I don't know, just throwing that out there.

@@fatima.s4382 North Africa is part of Middle East 😅. Secondly, MIDDLE Eastern music has some deferences but with the same fast vibratos. Morocco did not invented the style but inherited through the islamic region it did not originated from a specific country.

Yes there is an arabic influence since she is moroccan/Canadian. And of course there isn't any Israelis influence since there isn't such thing, israel do not own this style cause, it is just a new country occuping another arabic land, so, it has no history an no style in singing and in music.

Ngl i kinda hated that you needed to say ''independent woman'' to address her vocal skills, I mean, does that mean that a less ''mature'' voice or less skilled means you can't be seen as independent? Just bothered by the expression, not the same as saying a voice has colour than comparing the independence of someone, specially a women, judged by her skills, just saying. The more words you add to your descriptions do not make you look better specially.
