This song was inspired by the story 'Wuthering Heights' by Emily Bronte - a classic novel.

That was the groundbreaking song that launched her career at age 19 and went to No. 1 in the UK charts in 1978, staying there for four weeks. It is an unconventional song. Not so much a pop song but more a piece of performance art in which, through lyrics, high singing register + vocal inflections, body movement, facial expressions and set design, she is portraying a ghost come back to haunt her lover. It is based on the 19th century classic novel of the same name by Emily Brontë. I’m glad you liked it.

Kate is so unique and very talented. I fell in love with her work in 1978 with this song, which Kate wrote as a young teenager. Wuthering Heights was a movie from the 30s, based on a novel. Kate was discovered by David Gilmour from Pink Floyd

This is more folk-like. A song from the same album that has a livelier rhythm more akin to reggae is Kite.

I'm sorry. I'd suggest you Wikipedia read up about a song before you listen, so you have a story to tell too. Whether you enjoyed it isn't enough. To ask your viewer to comment the info you could have looked up in 2 clicks is an old RU-vidrs trick that I don't like. Ask more interesting personal questions you can't google, like what does this song mean to you? Or which song next. But not facts, google them and share them in the video. Do research before you listen. Read the lyrics and know that this song was from a book, and which book and what that was about.
