About the shushing; I've heard that the shushing is effective in soothing a crying baby because the sound is similar to what they heard when they were still inside their mother. It sounds like the mothers heartbeat with the "fwosh fwosh fwosh" of blood flowing through the veins all around them. It's comforting and similar to what they've heard all their life before being born ❤️
I looked it up but idk if this is right it said that babies can only do 1 thing at a time and that the calming reflex gets triggered when someone shushes a baby
I have been using this method for my newborn and it definitely works on him... He feels calm and goes back to sleep if he has not crossed the fussy bridge completely.. 😄

Nari is an absolute adorable, beautiful baby girl and a real blend of you both. You did amazingly well getting out of the house 2 weeks postpartum, 2 hours sleep and having your newborn photoshoot with Nari. My sister had 3 girls and by baby no 3 she was relaxed about knowing what to bring out, what was needed, how many spare outfits etc vs the anxiety of first time parents trying to bring everything. How is your sweet dog doing with baby Nari?
As a fellow mom, the shooshing noise replicates the noise they hear while in the womb It relaxes them Also, don't be afraid of the wearable baby holders, they like to be close, it's comforting There's portable white noise makers, mine didn't like it she liked the sound of the car running instead
I've read that newborn babies like being swaddled because they feel like they're going to fly apart. I don't know how we know that, but it does make sense.
wow twins! I loved looking after the twins at the nursery I worked at last summer but man, if one heard the other even breathe a little too loud, they were both off crying!! so sweet seeing their matching clothes and water bottles and sleep bags though
Yeah I wish I had done that with my twin girls when they were born. They were two months early though so they looked a little rat-like for a few months until they gained some weight 🤣
For real, they grow so fast, literally in a month their little newborn long toes will be filled with the cutest baby fat. Don't for get to rest up parents! We can't be good parents if we're running on low, not fair for our little (or big!) Families.

Same. I also gave birth to my son during the first Covid winter so for the few people we allowed to come by to meet him, they were lucky I brushed my hair.

Wow what a meaningful name Jennie I know Nari is an indigenous Korean name that translates to Lily but in most Asian countries Nari has deep meanings too, Nar means pomegranate in Persian and Fire in Arabic and Nari is like a warrior woman against men in Hindi so yup I really Love this lovely meaningful name She’s so pretty with a beautiful name♥️

So happy for everyone! I always heard that the shooshing sound helps baby because it reminds them of the sound of your blood shooshing around them when they were still in the womb. Just beautiful white noise for them.

As the elder sister of a 9-year-old and a 2-year-old, I've always seen and helped my mom pack (and maybe even overpack!) whenever we go out, and at those times (as you're going to experience), we won't even need 3/4 of the things that we pack🤣 But when we consider this next time and pack less, during that trip itself they need an extra kerchief, need that scarf/beanie cause it got cold, and the baby uses up all the diapers we pack and we think, "Oh we should've brought that, brought this, etc...", and the next time, we overpack again😅 It's a never-ending cycle till your child can pack for themselves🤣. And Nari looks SO cute, wish you and Johny a great parenthood😍🤗
Oh, Jennie, she's so cute. I love her little outfit, don't worry if you have questions or need to know, you can always ask different moms, and even my mother. Because she's a strong and outstanding person who raised us and her upbringing

The image of you two watching while your hearts are melting is simply priceless. Be sure to keep these videos safe, they are a treasure that Nari will looooove to watch when she grows older. And I think, she looks like more like daddy, but we have to wait. Kids change a lot as they grow, and it's an incredible process, how they start looking more like one parent, then suddenly looks more and more like the other. So it becomes comforting being the only sound they know and hear 24/7. Same reason so many babies like being swaddled because that's how it is when they're inside. It's warm, their body is kinda all squished up and it's what they know. They feel safe. ❤
Within our family the youngest finally married and was pregnant. They announced they could handle being new parents because they had a a Fur Baby, a Senior Dog who had to go out twice a night to pee. We were all in hysterics. 😂 “Oh Absolutely, a baby is just like a “fur baby”!” They did come back admitting they were Wrong!
