First Time Playing World of Warcraft Classic - 2024 - Mage Quests

Prioritise Intellect as a mage. It increases your mana pool and gives you extra chance to crit with spells. Spirit would be second for mana/health regen. /curtsey was a pleasure to help you out on my warlock, that quest is horrible even when you know what you're doing :D When i said type /p to talk while in a party.... you have to type /p followed by what you want to say, you didnt actually say anything after the /p so it closed the box. And to leave a party right click on your own picture and you will have the option to leave party. You're getting better... gradually ;)

Grats on your first mage quest. It's a bit tricky to solo. I believe you get a robe from this one. I believe you'll have another at level 20. Then one at 40. Not positive as I've never played a mage, but those are the levels my classes were given theirs. 27:00 the kobold resisted your polymorph. you froze him, but then targeted the other kobald down at the fire - you can see the red ring around his feet. This has been a bit of a habit as you've had it happen at least 5 times thru your vids. A couple of things... When running from an enemy, you'll notice you'll sometimes get dazed. You get stars over your head and you walk and can't run for a few seconds. If you keybind your "turn left" & "turn right" to "strafe left" & "strafe right", it'll reduce the chance of you getting dazed immensely. It might take a while to get used to it, but it works. Also, enemies are on a timer once you start running, and I believe it starts at the last time you hit them. From a study, somebody found they they will follow you for 9 seconds up to them being level 10; 10 seconds up to level 20; 11 seconds up to 30; 12 seconds up to 40; 13 seconds up to 50 & 14 seconds up to 60. That's without taking a swing at them or dotting them or casting at them. If you do any of the, the timer resets from 0. This is how players can kite enemies all over the place. You can kite an enemy thru multiple zones by using lvl 1 low-damage spells on it. To help fix the issue with the kobolds I mentioned earlier, I would suggest tab targeting - at least when in a bind. You can set your "target" keybind to the Tab key for "target nearest eneny". It's easier sometimes than clicking on the enemy - especially when they're stacked up and you can't quite click on the one you want. Keep hitting Tab and you'll see your target circle bounce around from one to the next. You're getting close as at level 20, you'll start to get the fun out of being a mage. I believe you'll get both blizzard and blink. Once you start getting comfortable with novas and blizzards, you'll see why mages are the best AOE farmers in vanilla. Great vid once again. Best into yet. What was it - something like the efficiency of a snail going thru a track of salt? Classic! EDIT: One more thing. Don't be afraid to use your scroll when going thru things like skills and quests. You were looking at how your wand skill is and you were in staves - that's your main hand item. That little grey bar on the side lets you know there's more below which would show your wand skill. Same with quests. Sometimes the reward is a simple scroll-down to reveal what you'll get.

Graveyards in Classic are really rough lol. In later expansions there are several in each zone, but you're going to have to deal with one and maybe two in each area. Just how it is, I'm afraid. The mana rift disturbance was inside of the tavern, that's what you were sent there to investigate. That's why the box only worked when you were inside and didn't work on the thing you had beaten outside. A lot of items can only be used in specific areas, especially if they're for a quest. You were able to use the soul stone to resurrect because of Xappit, a warlock. They trapped your soul in a gemstone lol. Which is actually a good thing for some reason. The intellect on the manaweave robe is good too, since it increases how much mana you have in general. 6 intellect vs 2 spirit, the intellect absolutely wins. If they were closer, I'd say maybe the spirit was more important. But that's a big difference.

YES you look so good in that new robe! Definitely you need to worry about intellect Stat over armor in most cases as a caster. Good luck on the road to deadmines :)

In terms of your chest piece I’d say the stam spirit will help you out more for the HP intellect raise your mana pool and gives spell crit also

Stamina and intellect are your two main stats, not spirit. Spirit is only on third place. Stamina give you more health (1 stamina = 10 health). Intellect will increase your mana pool (1 int. = 10 mana) + it's increases your chance to deal critical strike with your spells (150% of normal damage). Spirit only increase your mana and health regeneration outside of combat (health) or while you not casting spells (mana)

As far as mage gear goes. INTELLECT INTELLECT INTELLECT. Everything else pales in importance to INTELLECT. Always choose INTELLECT! Also make sure your dragging the highest ranked version of the spell out of your spellbook and onto your hot bar replacing the old version. It will not do this for you. You must do it manually. :) Everything in your bags with the little "coin" icon in the top left corner is pure trash. The game marks them this way to let you know they are useful for absolutely nothing but taking up space. The one with the '!' in the top left is an item with a quest which you must click on to begin the quest.
