I heard this after I sang it in a crowd with some friends just hanging out... I just laughed and said ya right. I don't think I sound good so, I didn't realise everyone could year me so well, lol
Brooks & Dunn were the top duo for several years. Numerous great songs from them. Tim Foust and Austin Brown do a cover of this in a backyard. Another good duo you should give a listen too is Montgomery Gentry, I think you'll enjoy them. Keep up with the great reactions. 👍👍👍
This song is one of theirs that truly showcases his vocal talent! They along with Montgomery Gentry and Big and Rich are some of the best duos of all time.
My Maria" was co-written by B. W. Stevenson and Daniel Moore. Stevenson released "My Maria" as a single in August 1973, and the song became a Top 10 hit, peaking at No. 9 on the US pop chart. It remained in the Top 40 for twelve weeks. Brooks & Dunn cover reached No. 1 on the US country music chart and won the 1997 Grammy for Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. (Wikipedia)
The great thing about this is that when the subject of covering this song came up Ronnie didn't want to do it, because he figured it wouldn't work for them. Fortunately he was wrong and it became one of their greatest hits! I could listen to Ronnie's amazing voice all day long!
I love Brooks and Dunn. Never been to a concert though. Great reaction. I love seeing you enjoying the country music journey you are on. Tim Foust and Austin Brown do a great rendition of this song. Maybe you could check them out sometime. Thanks for your fun reaction. Have a great day!!!😃
Love this song. One of the best country duos of all time. Another great song of theirs with a great video is Brooks and Dunn - Only in America (Live at Farm Aid 2003). Would be a great video for many Americans to see right now!! There's a spot mid video that you can appreciate. You'll know it when you see it. :)
My favorite songs from Brooks & Dunn are That Ain’t No Way To Go; Whiskey Under the Bridge; Neon Moon; Hard Workin’ Man; She Used To Be Mine; Brand New Man; She’s Not the Cheatin’ Kind; If You See Him, If You See Her (with Reba McEntire); and of course Believe!
I saw these two masters in concert in an outside venue. At the time the Oregon Jamboree in Sweet Home wasn't huge yet so it was a blast. You should give Tim Fousts version a listen. You will be amazed at his range. Thank you.😊❤
This was co written by B.W. Stevenson in 1973. It made it to Number 9 for him.In 1996 Brooks and Dunn released their version. Fabulous vocals and an outstanding melody make for a catchy tune. The guitars are just mesmerizing. Live performances are so great. This was the Number 1 Country song of the year and won a Grammy for Best Song by a duo. INCREDIBLE.🎶🎶🎸🎸Great reaction Craig. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
this song is one of those I could listen to every hour you need to check out the video to this song also the one You Can Take The Girl Out Of The Country
Craig I saw Blake Shelton when he was starting out in a single-room venue that had wood logs for seating. Talk about feeling close to a performance and then meeting him at his bus outside, got a t-shirt signed, the shirt was from his song Ol’ Red
My wife is named Maria and this song has been my song for her for a long time. I have not heard this live version previously, but I’m so glad I have now….it was outstanding in all aspects. I’ll forgive you saying “Absolutely” and “Incredible” a million times because this was absolutely incredible 😅
Love B and D so much! They were absolutely what 90s country was all about. We used to joke that this song was the reason Ronnie wore those skin-tight pants (so he could hit those high notes! ) 😂
Craig you asked bout the feelin in a small, intimate concert such as this one. Well, I really do wanna tell ya what it's like, but, well, I just can't 😮❣️. It's literally one of those thangs that'cha got to experience yerself to really understand. Yer right tho puddin 🤗, the crowd becomes one single heartbeat 💓, that'cha actually "feel", when there is so much energy bouncin around thru the crowd AND off the stage too💞😉❣️. There really is NOTHIN quite like it and I sincerely hope darlin that YOU get to experience the same thang and only then will ya "get it" too😉❣️. P.s....im purty sure after watchin you watch this, hehe, that yer face hurt for the rest of the day cause not ONCE did a smile leave yer precious little face 😍❣️. Much love from New Mexico, 🇺🇸🙏🏻❣️
Only thing in my opinion that matches Ronnie’s vocal performance is Randy Meisner singing “Take it to the Limit” at a 1977 Eagles concert. Also “Red Dirt Road “ by Brooks and Dunn is great but the Sugarland version at the Brooks and Dunn tribute is incredible!
So sorry I haven't communicated at all trying to catch up. I just stop at my home in a fire. But, you pick some of the greatest as all ways. Any one name Maria thinks this. Is her song. Keep up the good work and play the SONG .....DREAM WEAVER.
Yes, I was at a B&D concert about 10 years ago and it was fantastic, magical and perfect. We had 5th row seats! They sang this song just like they now, not missing a note! It was a very memorable night!
Great song . The smile is cause he hit those note clear and clean. You need to check out two guys from Home Free, Austin Brown and Tim Foust do this in Austin's backyard. There's a couple surprises waiting there.
You should check out Austin Brown & Tim Foust of Home Free version of this song, it can be found on Austin’s RU-vid channel! Pretty awesome, with a twist, because Tim is singing the high part! Please react to it! Thanks!
My number one favorite from these guys. Thank you so much for the reaction. Love from Canada Many people hear the expression 'Boot, Scootin' Boogie' but they don't know the song or even who sings it. Please do a reaction to it. That will put you in a great mood. Thanks ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-d05tQrhNMkA.html
One of my favorite Brooks and Dunn songs ever! Brooks and Dunn are great live. I have seen them in both small and large venues and they are fantastic! Ronnie Dunns voice is amazing!! Kix Brooks, is great as well. They are the definition of entertainers!!
In the 80’s and 90’s you could go to honkeytonks to see up and coming artists and dance until until they shut down and kicked you out the door. I’ve seen George Straight, Brooks and Dunn, Micheal Martin Murphy, The Bellamy Brothers, and more. The sad thing is that now they fill mostly big venues. Those were the days!!
Wanted to throw a couple of quick suggestions and throw Billy Currington's "Good Directions", "People Are Crazy" and "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right" to you! Billy Currington is a great artist and you should give him a listen! Fun rabbit hole to run down!
I have to admit when I first heard their cover of this song I wasn't too crazy about it, it did grow on me and now this is the version I listen to most of the time. I haven't seen them live, but I have seen so many others, if you are lucky enough to get close to the stage it is amazing.
I've loved this song from the very first time I heard it and I never tire of it. it was one of the first songs that made me realize that there are indeed some country songs that I like.
This was filmed in my favorite place on Earth, Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I’ve been to so many amazing shows there. I wish I had been at this one.
Another artist you should check out is; Diana Ankudinova. Please react to her cover songs; Wicked Game, Can't Help Falling in Love & Human. Her voice will amaze you!!!
This is a cover though. In August 1973, pop-country singer B.W. Stevenson co-wrote and released this song. Here's the original" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mAQlg2qSR2w.html
