If the last time you heard Carrie was during American Idol, then you should definitely go down this rabbit hole. There is a good video of her and Ludacris, “the Champion”, and one of her singing a cover of Guns and Roses “Paradise City” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XWK_FR0umww.html … and then all her country music. She is amazing.
I understand what you mean!!! Like you said, she's focused, on key, and this song means a lot to her...........the "Joy" that we hear is worship and praise!!!!
If you are truly from the South then you know every word! Stunning rendition! I love Carrie! Voted for her on American Idol and have followed her through her career. Only problem I have is how the artists conform to the industry standards of "less is more" when it comes to clothing attire (not this video). Love your channel and reactions!
You should react to Elvis Presley 1977 version with fans interview before the song and Elvis' dad Vernon. It's as almost Elvis acknowledging God's call for him(Elvis) to come on home.
Carrie can sing anything. You should react to her cover of Guns and Roses Paradise City at CMA fest 2013. You really need to get more familiar with her catalogue!
"How Great Thou Art" is a Christian hymn based on a Swedish traditional melody and a poem written by Carl Boberg (1859-1940) in Mönsterås, Sweden, in 1885. It was translated into German and then into Russian. It was translated into English from the Russian by English missionary Stuart K. Hine, who also added two original verses of his own. This song has been covered by many artists, including "James Edward Cleveland, The Blackwood Brothers Quartet, Dixie Carter, Tammy Wynette, Charlie Daniels, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Burl Ives, Alan Jackson, Billy Preston, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride, Elvis Presley , Cliff Richard, Roy Rogers, George Beverly Shea, Carrie Underwood, Connie Smith, Mahalia Jackson, the Statler Brothers, Sir Howard Morrison and *the best version of all is Angelina's cover version* in my humble opinion" 💯 *AJ* 💯
Carrie dies a fantastic job with this. But for me, I loved Elvis singing this song. He put so much heart and feeling into it. And you know he loved singing gospel. Would love to see your reaction.
You could also check out her performance at I believe that’s the country music awards when she does a couple religious songs, and also sings with CeCe Winans . It is really spectacular.
The live version with Vince Gill playing the guitar has much more feel to it. Had the audience in tears & on their feet well before the end of the song.
You should get familiar with her catalog l, she has an amazing one. Also listen to her doing this sing with Vin e Gill at tge ACM Ladies of Country Music
I love Carrie's singing. The Live version with Vince Gill is amazing it was live and it was raw and emotional. The whole audience was immersed in the song and her voice.
Yes I love her singing this but you should listen to the live one featuring Vince Gill.. Carrie Underwood won American Idol in 2005 I believe and her first song went to number one Jesus take the wheel she is from Oklahoma and she's country but she does not hide the fact she's Christian.. you've done some of her songs or maybe you will do I'm just finding you so thank you and God bless 🙏
I wondering if this was the performance after 911,they had a special on tv,where Alan Jackson, song ,"where were u when the world stop turning react to the"CHAMPION"Carrie Underwood ft Ludicras. Watch the official video
It`s difficult for me to understand that I hear a lot of voice and yet she doesn`t touch me. Too many high notes and not a lot of feelings. I don`t want to step on anybody's toes. I am sure very many people love her version and I can understand that. I guess it`s just a question of taste and you can`t argue about taste :) I like Elvis`s live version far more because (for me) it has more substance and a better expression of how great God is. Maybe you`d like to take a listen: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9tg-dcj9w4k.html I was christened but 10 horses couldn`t drag me to church. It`s funny, Elvis somehow always takes me to church when I listen to his gospel songs, and I go willingly and I enjoy it :)))
