This was my brothers favorite worship song. He was a non believer in Jesus Christ until he was 47. He met a woman who was a believer in the gospel and he eventually accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He painted a picture of Jesus standing and knocking on a door. He left it unfinished because he could only imagine what he looks like.. He had a massive heart attack and passed away when he was 53. God is merciful as He touched his heart and saved him years before. I know he's in heaven worshipping God with the angels. We played the song at his funeral but he no longer has to imagine.
I wanted so bad to hear her sing this at her mom's celebration of life...it is such an amazing song. God please continue to be with this family during the difficult times.
I thought the same…but it’s such a personal and emotional song to get through…I wanted to recite it at my Mom’s funeral in ‘11, but just couldn’t. When my first born was 10 (19 years ago in 2003) he recited this song at his (other) grandmother’s funeral down in PCB. We sang it all the way down from Bham, just to make sure he had the words- even though they were already embedded within us. It was a precious and Spirit filled moment to see God was able to use him with a beautiful, simple, and powerful song. It’s words paint the perfect picture of peace for our loved ones... After the funeral many of the guests complemented and asked “little Evans” about the “special poem” he wrote. He told them he didn’t write it, but that it was a new song by a band called Mercy Me (they loved that!). He also told them that we had gone to see them perform the song at Gardendale’s First Baptist Church in 2001, and that it had become his favorite song. He said he wanted to share it for his grandmother who he knew was already in Heaven with Jesus. Someone got a napkin for him to write down the words to have and share. The Holy Spirit was moving…All Glory to God! Thankful for a song that paints the perfect backdrop of a Heavenly peace, joy, and mystery that is waiting for our loved ones at that most precious moment, and also reminds us of the day we will celebrate the same and be reunited with loved ones, both family and family in Christ, who’ve gone on ahead of us. What a glorious day that will be!!
I loved the song to begin with but now it’s so so special and I’ve requested that it’s done for me whenever Ithe Lord takes me to my heavenly home.. what a testimony she has given me for sure. God Bless her in her journey and her life always. ❤❤

Naomi tried so hard to help herself and to help others, speaking out about depression so many times, doing massive research. I think they will find an underlying physical cause, I noticed She had a really bad tremor on the right side. And with This song being born out of so many years of pain. It is odd, I had been thinking of Naomi & her family today with much discussion. And Now unrelatedly looking for this song and here is Wynonna. wow. God is Present😇

Phenomenal God given voice!! I'm sick to death myself that I didn't go see Wynonna here in Pigeon Forge TN just days before her momma left. My daughter (in Louisiana) and I cried and cried together over the phone. Then just 4 days later my daughter went grocery shopping, came home, put groceries away, called her husband saying she didn't feel well & was going to lie on sofa a little bit. He called her back, no answer, rushed home, she died too. 😢 😭😭😭😭. Our last long conversation was about how sad we were. We cried together over the loss for Ashley & Wynonna and about how we enjoyed going on the tours with my daughter's little girl, ASHLEY. (My only & precious granddaughter) who was killed in auto accident along with her little baby girl in a roll over in the Louisiana Bayou where they drowned. July 16th 2014. Since my husband was killed by a local tourist ranch owner's horse loose AGAIN, just 54 days before the girl's died I had no one to go with me to Wynonna's show here in town. Quadruple sadness. I can take no more! Praying for WYNONNA and ASHLEY. I'll never forget the excitment OUR ASHLEY had as a tiny little girl going with us, not once, but twice to see Naomi and Wynonna on their tour. God Please Bless Ashley and Wynonna. And my family now in Heaven and my daughter's loving husband and her grandson she raised to Graduation!

I saw my twin sister, in a dream, she was sad and with burdens. WTF? God showed me her sad and supposedly in heaven? No words and no message? WHY send her to me if you don't allow her to speak and show her sad IN HEAVEN! This is the second person sent to me in a dream with sadnesses after death and in heaven. I'm NOT feeling it God! How dare you.
@@lorireed8046 Perhaps she had a moment of sadness because she was separated from you. I don't think that there will be perpetual sadness or happiness when we get to heaven. Both of my parents are in heaven and my husband's and I are 82 and 85 with healthy issues- his very serious so a heavenly reunion with our parents is probably not too far into the future. I was very sad a few days ago because of the stress of caring for my husband. I was on our deck and, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a pretty hummingbird who was sipping nectar from a flower that had come back from last year. I am one who looks for signs and I decided that the little bird was a sign from heaven that everything was going to be all right. Don't let dreams that are difficult to interpret make you lose faith in our Creator. In 1976, I had a stillborn daughter and I kept repeating, Jesus will get me through this and he did! I trust Him to get me through this as well. God bless you and keep you.
Zonunhlua Chhangte I have been listening to this song since 2011. When I got my cancer diagnosis I put it in gods hands and listen to mercy me over and over again and I found her version and it’s just as powerful. And as you can see I’m still listening only in praise of God this time

She definitely has a very gifted voice and now I believe that her spirit is very humbled and genuine I think it shows I think the deal with her husband and him being in the accident really changed her life obviously him but that's what I think made her turn around cuz she really does love that guy unless there's something I don't know about 😜
I have seen Wynonna in concert times. I was in the front row each time and to watch her filled with so much emotion happy and or sad with each song is amazing. I am not a fan of country music except for Wynonna. Go Wy!!

This song was played at my mom's funeral and gave our family so much peace knowing what the lyrics say about how glorious it was for her to go meet her parents who died in a house fire in 1971 on her birthday and her heavenly father. I've always listen to Christain music and loved this song and have requested it to be played at my funeral. My heart aches for the Judd gals and her husband because they lost a beautiful soul who walked this earth and gave so much back to their fans. The church where my Grandfather preached sang this song at his funeral. The whole church choir with powerful, southern gospel singing voices drove this song straight through to my soul lol. Man what a strong feeling of knowing how my Granpa felt on his death bed. Living his whole life for this day. Not the day he died, but the day he gets to meet his Jesus

Been sharing this with everyone. I have so much in common with Wynona. My dad knew me , he just did not want me. My heart has been broken so many times and when I came to the place where it was truly just me and Jesus. I came to know Him in a way I would never have imagined. I talk to Him all day . When I share how the Lord is my Daddy, my best friend, my husband. He is everything and all I want . Yes I went through so much but oh what a beautiful relationship I have with God!

What a blessing to wake up another day. To sing Gods praises.I had a similar thing happen to me. Even though I had an earthly father I didn't really know him. He was a drug dealer and my mom was. An addict and on alcohol At 21 years of age I accepted Jesus as my Lord And beautiful saviour. My mom can to me and said that my father wasn't my real father and that she had lived with another man for a time when she found herself pregnant with. Most young people would have been devastated to hear that but I had learned who my heavenly father was some month earlier . so I told her that it did t really matter to me who my earthly father was or wasn't because I knew who my real father was in heaven and that He lived and excepted me and would never let me Down. He would never let go of my hand and one day I would meet Him face to face. Where I will sing His praises forever with millions of others around His thrown and that was more than enough for me.!!!!! Still is and I am waiting...
