Your confusion on the sound of his voice is the same reason he has sold a billion records, his incredible vocal range , those soft vocal highs are just another example.
His range is unbelievable. People always think that he does the baritone only, but he could go into falsetto’s. He had a crazy range. He sang around 750 songs. His ballads to me make me emotional. He’s the best ballad singer. 😊😊❤❤❤❤
This is SO beautiful from the early 1960s (movie is It Happened at the Worlds Fair). Not many reactors listen to such songs so thanks so much for reminding me of Elvis's phenomenal vocal talent. If you love just Elvis and the piano listen to It's Still Here from the early 1970s where he's accompanying himself on the piano ❤❤❤
Elvis was young then. His voice changed depending what song. This song is heard to sing as all about the control of your voice. Elvis catered for different peoples taste. Love him Forever❤❤❤❤
A PROFESSOR OF MUSIC SAID IN A DOCUMENTARY THAT ELVIS HAD THE ABILITY TO SLIDE UP AND DOWN THE SCALE.. NOT MANY COULD DO.. IT WAS MAINLY IN HIS TWENTYS. HIS VOICE WAS ONE THAT CAN'T BE REPLACED ❤
Pure angelic vocals of EP....honey and silk got nothing on this heavenly voice 💯⚡❤️ Edit: Elvis has been doing this interchanging voice since forever so not new to his fans....but always love it when new fans/listeners get confused as to whether it's him or not 🥰
Elvis's vocal range was incredible - that's why he is The King. Please take the Priscilla movie with many a grain of salt, as it seems to have been overly dramatized. She gave lengthy interviews after they divorced, talking about their marriage, which she later contradicted in her book, that the movie is based on. Stuff like portraying that Elvis was so controlling that he told her how to wear her hair, makeup, clothes. In 1973 after their divorce, she sat down with a journalist from Home Journal magazine, there's like a 3 or 4 page interview. They asked about her hair and makeup style in the 60's, and she said she went to a finishing school and learnt how to do hair and makeup, and she said she just went crazy with it, overdid it, and that she must have looked ridiculous but Elvis never said anything to her about it, he wouldn't, he just let her do her thing. She stated that she had job offers, modelling, tv, etc, and could have worked while she was married, but that she chose not to. Her words, paraphrased, "I could have worked if I wanted to, it was up to me. Elvis just wanted me to be happy". Hmm, doesn't sound very controlling now, does it? After she started dating a lawyer, sued Elvis for more money, and put a lien on his home Graceland , her story changed. Why would she sensationalise her story? To sell more copies of her book maybe? Advised by other people? To get maximum money out of her connection to Elvis? I always think that it was the truth she was telling during those early years after the divorce, and not later. I think she loved him and probably wishes she hadn't ever got creative with the truth. I choose not to see the movie.
You are more generous than I am about her feelings for Elvis so I give you credit. I think she needs money because she is a scientologist and they are all about the money. I believe that's why she took back his name to continue to cash in on his name. Scandalous and sensationalism sells a lot more than the truth. With Lisa Marie sending Coppela those emails pleading with her not to go on with the movie because it portrays him as someone she doesn't know or how her mother described and yet Priscilla was out and about promoting the movie. That's a very strange thing to me especially not even a year after the loss of her daughter.
I choose not to see the Elvis Movie or the new Pricilla movie. They’re cashing in on his name and stealing his legacy. Thankfully most of us can see right through they’re cheap and nasty plan to rewrite his story.
CV I love your reaction to Elvis there are many men that love Elvis but not all are comfortable in their own skin saying so but many are my husband is one when it's Elvis Presley voice it moves you. 💙❤💯🙏
Man CV, EP's catalog of music including through his movies is so vast and wide, it's difficult to keep track of them all; this for sure is so smooth and romantic. His softer tones are so slippery and tangible, the words don't even really matter❤ I love this👍
Hi CV! Thanks for pulling this one out of the archives. It’s another gem. I personally, cannot get enough of this man. He is a chameleon with colors that exceed our known spectrum. I am definite that his soul tapped into something that we mortals absorb through him.❤️
With Elvis music, you got: dance, just gotta move; smooth, sentimental; sexy, come here & love me 🫢; power ballad; operatic (he liked opera); country; blues; of course gospel ( both clap your hands & repentance tugging at your heart; I know I left some out. I had heard other rockers say Elvis was a sell out. Truth is he sang how he wanted to sing. And, you said it, “let it all speak for itself”.
This was one of my favorite Elvis songs when I was a kid. One of hundreds😂. Want to hear another completely different sound from Elvis? I just heard two today from the Memphis albums that were so different from what most reactors react to. "You'll Think of Me", and "Wearing That Loved on Look". You should check them out. Elvis voice is so unique. He could sing anything and make it sound great.
Beautiful, lovely Song! ELVIS Voice is so soft and smooth, i love it! This is from the Movie it Happens at the worlds fair! You Must react „a world of our ouwn“ from the Same Movie! Thank you!
Elvis is so smooth. High, low, Elvis can sing anything... the best there ever was. This was from It Happened at the World's Fair. His picture from 1962.
Elvis can just smoothly glide between a Dean Martin…. Freddie Mercury... Michael Jackson all while in his legendary baritone range and depth. Got to be the smoothest and most gifted voice in human history.
Elvis went through different stages with his voice. This was the ‘sweet’ stage and he had some beautiful ballads. Listen to Elvis and you can get an idea of the period when he sang the song. Don’t take the Priscilla movie as fact even Lisa Marie said she didn’t recognise her father from the script.
Yeah, Lisa was nine years old and has very vivid memories from her childhood and never remembers her Daddy abusing her Mother. He cheated(regretfully) but so did Prissy.
He was actually at the 1962 Seattle Worlds Fair making this movie. Actor Kurt Russell was 11 years and played a little boy who Elvis paid to kick him in the shin so he could get close to the world’s fairs nurse. The movie was called it happened at the roads fair.
Elvis omg he was just great It Happened at the Worlds Fair the movies have a lot of hidden gems in them. Once u start the movie songs u get lost there’s a lot of awesome performances there plus 31 movies and 2 documentaries!
Exactly. But this guy is a new fan, and after watching that movie he might end up thinking less of Elvis by believing how he is being portrayed in it , not knowing this is just one more hit piece on him, again ...
Yeah, after the divorce and her generous settlement, she kept on suing him for more and more to help keep up her lifestyle and the bums that she chose to live with after him!
@SK-rr8op I have already heard new Elvis fans say that no longer respect him after watching her movie. Look at the damage she does. I always hate to hear when someone says they are going to watch that movie. Why can't people see thru her. Ever since he passed away, it's been about making money off of his name and her trying to be relevant, to be somebody, any way she can. People need to keep in mind, that her lips were sealed until he passed. Not an opportunity has been passed up that she hasn't created to make more money or make herself look awesome and victimized. She wouldn't be able to say or do all that she has done if he were alive bc when one out of 2 people in the picture is not here to defend himself, his name, his reputation, then I guess the other person can say and make up anything she wants. It's up to yall if you choose to believe her or not. My choice.....I am an Elvis fan, period.
@@TheEcchoif he changes his mind on Elvis there is nothing you can do but defend him. People need to remember this version of Elvis comes from the plastic witch herself priscilla wagner beaulieu. The movie Priscilla is so one-sided it's not funny and Elvis is not around anymore to defend himself. When MJ had to go to court over sleeping with underage boys in his bed. He had a chance to defend himself a lot of people still believe MJ is guilty of messing around with underage boys. While some MJ fans state he was found not guilty, the truth is MJ was not found innocent the prosecutor dropped the case against MJ because of insufficient hard evidence to carry on with the case.MJ after the case refused to live in the USA again in case he was taken to court again. Now Elvis has been dead for over 47 years and priscilla wagner beaulieu wants to destroy Elvis legacy.
No the little girl couldn’t find her uncle. Elvis and his friend hitched a ride with her and her uncle. He agreed that Elvis could take her to the fair. He was in some kind of accident. But she and her uncle reunite at the end. The little girl was actress Vicki Tiu. Her and her sister played in his movie Girls Girls Girls also. Elvis always played a bachelor
It's from the movie. It happened at the world's fair it was filmed during the world's fair in seattle in 1963. Very beautiful song. There was no boundaries to the voice of Elvis.
CVTech I know you want to enjoy listening to Elvis and I totally get it. I'm in my 70's and hope I get to go down the rabbit hole with you, just not sure how many of us can make it😊LOL. There are still over 800 songs or more left. Keep up your great work.
@@CVTECK1 I think what Ms. Nancy is trying to tell you is you are not gooooooing. That at 2 songs per month, doing the math, it will take you 30 years just to hear his songs, therefore some songs you will only get to hear once, you will not have time left to add to any playlist for the future and that don't count getting to know him thru those that did, all the interviews, all of the rehearsals etc. Someone told you when you felt bad for having never have listened to him before that it's never too late, That is so true, but CV,, now you are taking a gift that was given to you and crawling thru time still missing out. If I were you, reacting or not, I would be running to hear his music and all the stories and interviews of those that knew him, like Muhammad Ali, James Brown, BB King and the list goes forever and ever. Just simply listen to several every day without reacting due to time and when you get some request of those that you have heard, just be honest and say I've heard this song but we are going to listen to it and I am going to give you my thoughts. Or simply say, I listened to that already, it was great and move on to one that you haven't heard. Otherwise, YOU won't live long enough at this pace. From what you have been thru and experienced happening to you, you should know, why put off tomorrow what you could be enjoying today and sharing with friends and family. That my friend is a waste of a gift you were given and a shame.
@NancyWilkinson-cq5pl Nancy, if you want to hear more Elvis, this guy is great too. He started from the beginning and is now at 1969. He usually reacts to an Elvis song everyday. I am sharing this with you bc I know you would enjoy listening to him react to Elvis like I have. It has been so much fun. It is: Seph Plays
@@NancyWilkinson-cq5pl You are welcome. he has 100's of video's on his elvis playlist that you can watch any of those reactions also. He did a few specials where he skipped ahead as a celebration. The first special was when Seph had reacted to him for one year. But he had only made it thus far to 1961. So he reacted to Bridge over troubled water from 1970 and he got very emotional. It was hard for him bc he had only seen him up to 1961 and seeing and hearing him in 1970 was very shocking. You might just want to start with the one if you want, it will show you a lot about him. Let me know how it goes. Enjoy.
And you would enjoy the movie it is so cute the songs --"How would you like to be" and many more . Actually a young Kurt Russel is in it --- Elvis pays him ( young boy) to kick him so he can visit the nurse working the fair
I’ve been at Elvis fan I like his voice from 1960 to 64. That’s when he was the best he was good in the 50s in the 70s but my favorite year is like I just said in 1982 or 83 I believe Don Robinson wrote that song he wrote a lot great songs for him. It’s sad that his voice did not sound like that in the 70s but his voice was good. Look at aloha from Hawaii and that’s the way it is he never lost his voice in the 70s even nights and 77 I believe his voice was getting better he was hitting at high notes. Unchained Melody is sad that Ricky Nelson knows and did it before him. I do like him too but it’s sad. it’s sad he did not do that song after they came out of the army along with she thinks I still care should’ve been done in 1963 or 64. He could’ve came out I knew where I want I wish you would’ve came out with another album and 64. That would’ve been great. Besides the movie soundtracks 1964. Don’t forget it recorded hurts me Memphis Tennessee, I wish this guy would do a reaction to. It hurts me.
Why do people always tell a story 50 years after they are dead! Never when they are alive to defend themselves. Pricilla had 50 years to do this but now Elvis is becoming popular again so everyone has a story$$$$$ to tell even the woman who say they dated Elvis for 1 minute😊
@NancyWilkinson-cq5pl Hey Nancy, I already commented to someone regarding the movie. Also, I don't understand CV taking time to watch a movie that is nothing but a means for someone to make more money, to create hate on his name instead of taking that time to listen to more Elvis songs. What a waste of time. I have heard new fans now turn on him after watching it. What a horrible thing to do. Here is my comment above: Oh, I always hate to hear when someone says they are going to watch that movie.
With Priscilla, she keeps changing her story…and this was when the Priscilla movie was coming out. She was in the audience of a q&a with actors from the movie and had the mic. She literally defended Elvis, said that there was absolutely no sex before marriage, that Elvis was loving and kind, and he was the love of her life. She said the reason she left wasn’t because she didn’t love him, but rather she couldn’t handle the lifestyle. She also contested Lisa Marie’s will, and as part of the settlement, is going to be buried at Graceland. Now, if Elvis was such a devil, would she want to be buried there? That seemed like such an odd request.
It’s From A Movie I Think His Supposed To Be On A Ferris Wheel Here In The Movie ! That’s Not His Daughter His Daughter Lisa Was Born Five Years Later Then This Movie! This Movie Was Recorded In 1963 ! And That Particular Song Is On A Elvis Video With Some Of His Other Songs About How Elvis’s Voice Can Change So Dramatically ! That’s Why His Still The King ! ❤
May I suggest the Elvis song "Indescribably blue". It is also totally different and even better IMO. Elvis actually recorded it after a fight with his wife and father (over Elvis giving to much money away). It is on My top 10 Elvis love songs .
In this movie he's having to look out for the sweetest little girl, but while he's taking her around the fair he meets a woman he really likes but he blows it first and is feeling sorry himself in this bit while the little'un is sleeping.
No hint of the deep huh huh huh that fake Vegas fools do. when they dress up. I am glad you are learning the vocal range of Elvis. You're used to playing the most obvious Elvis songs. If you see any more of those fools, stop and play them an Elvis song and ask where the deep fake huh huh is. I would tell them to go home and get a proper job. His voice is beautiful & so diverse.
This is from his movie It Happened At The World's Fair. A very young Kurt Russell is in it too. He's not credited by name but he kicks Elvis in the shin. Later Kurt would portray Elvis in a movie about his life as an adult. Not all if the songs from Elvis' movies are fantastic but they're fun. Don't worry you're not the first nor the last guy to have a man crush on Elvis. 😂 Take Priscilla's movie with a grain of salt. She's changed her stories more than a few times over the years.
I've watched a few of your reactions to Elvis. I didn't notice that you aren't familiar with his softer love songs. Maybe the most famous & largest selling of them all was Surrender. It was released in 1958 I believe, before the army, so it's very early in his career. I hope you listen to it even if you don't review it. It's an exquisite love song (not sad) showing his range, reaching those sweet tender high notes. Some music historians have considered it the best love song ever written.
