I learned about Forestella one day when this thumbnail with this Asian guy popped up. He was singing Hijo the la luna. I became curious so I clicked on it and there the four of them were. Wow, such harmony and deep voices. Every member has his own unique voice and together... well, it´s just majestic. I became a huge fan in an instant. I looked them up and found gems of songs. Now, I am Dutch and I don´t speak a single word Korean. But what I found out is that, together, these guys are really putting their everything into a song, in a way one is able to sense what they´re singing about. I remember watching and listening to their song Nocturne. I cried and I had no idea what the exact reason for that crying was. I sensed it was about loneliness of something and the pain that comes along with that. I kept listening and listening to this particular song. Mesmerizing! When I finally looked up the translation of these lyrics, I found out I picked up the right vibes without even understanding one word. That is their strength I guess. They just don´t sing a song, they tell a story. I listen to them every day now.. haha... still don´t understand one single word Korean but I know most of their songs by heart, phonetically that is. these guys are really majestic and I am happy YT one day recommended that Hijo de la luna song. I hope I might see them once in a concert in the future and I know these guys will make it ...big time. So much talent to show and to give, that is what this world needs right now.

This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; a survival audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. My favorite stage is Shape of You in English, Spanish and isiZulu by Forestella. But Smooth Criminal also is one of my favorite for now. Usually they stand in the same order from left to right, Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist & rock vocalist with soprano falsetto voice), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, one of the semi-finalists from Voice Korea 2, rough-textured husky tone with R&B, Pop groove). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. Last year Ko WooRim said they met more than 300 days together in Phantom Singer All Stars behind interview but in a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in last year. So this explains how their perfection executed I think.
