This was his first ever performance of Family Portrait after he wrote it. KJH was missing from the music scene after his band leader committed suicide. He spent his time writing music and busking. Yes, his first appearance in a few years. He said the shoes outside the house was his father's instruction whenever he goes away from the house for a period. This is to deceive would be bad people from targeting their house. Very touching song. The subtitles do not give the correct meaning of the song. Only Koreans will understand the in depth meaning of the lyrics - cultural if I am not wrong. Kim Jin Ho has another fantastic song - Saldaga. Pls Google it before you react. There is a story behind it - his band leader committed suicide 😢
hello... i'm a fan of Kim Jin Ho... thank you for sharing his story, but his first ever TV performance of this song is not the one on Immortal Song, the song is released along with his 1st solo album in February 14 , 2013.. and he had sung the song several times on some TV shows during the album promotion in 2013, but yeah, his performance on Immortal Song made the song becomes hugely popular until now ^^
