I'll provide the English translation for you in this post. First I wanted to say that I'm glad that you were able to find hope through God and that He was able to help you through your depression. Sohyang herself is a Christian too, and God helped her through a very difficult situation in her life as well. She was actually diagnosed with uterine cancer, and luckily for her, it was detected early on. Unfortunately, however, she was left infertile, making her unable to bare children. To this day, she still struggles with severe health issues because of the aftermath of the surgery. But she's always thanked God through all of it. Sohyang has said before that she believes her purpose is to bring comfort to those who are going through difficult times; and this song is a testament to that. "Everyone" is actually an older Korean Gospel song, and this is Sohyang's arrangement of it. So your interpretation of this song is exactly right. There's something special about Sohyang, and I truly believe that God is using her to reach and touch people who need to feel that sense of love, kindness, and belonging. As much as I am blown away from her as a singer, she herself is just an incredible person. And her heart for people is always on display when she sings. Beautiful commentary! Only two people actually made me cry listening to a song in my lifetime. Edith Piaf and So Hyang. My brother met her twice in his church when she was young (lucky SOB), and even then she was such a humble human being, true to herself and to God, he said.
Actually, she speaks of God in every song. She is also very careful when she covers popular songs. If it is a song that has nothing to do with the love of God, she never chooses it

This is a song for those who're in darkness suffering and still in pain. SoHyngs is saying she'll share your tears and be there by your side until the day you smile again. You could feel her emotions are genuine as her voice cracked at times as if she was the one who's suffering. This is not just a performance. You could say this is a confession from your dear friend, a message of love and hope.

Just found you by chance, just like Sohyang did 1 1/2 years ago. Your reaction was perfect for me. I also suffer from depression and had to go to the clinic. The weeks before were terrible. Emptiness, hopelessness, no sense in the recognisable and no belief that there is more. Out of nowhere I found Sohyang and it touched my soul. Tears flowed automatically and it was so relieving and strengthening to feel the power that is on the soul level, even if we sometimes don't see it. Thank you for your reation. Very connecting.

Loved your reaction. Loved your emotions coming out, They were no different to mine but you couldn't see my tears. I'm a 69 year old male but she makes me cry like baby but yours still manage to look beautiful. Even not knowing Korean is no barrier to feeling the emotion, it's all in the performance and the story telling. The spoken words are asking and answering the question "when I'm alone, who will be there for me". She then stretches her hand toward the audience, " You, Everyone".

First time I watched this performance I got choked up - how can you not?! I'm an atheist but that doesn't matter because Sohyang CONNECTS to people. That's why she's a singer, she wants to help/heal people with her music and so you can feel that irrespective of your beliefs. I appreciate your honest emotion - great reaction and as we say in New Zealand, "Kia kaha" - stay strong! Everything she covers is amazing so whatever you pick is good but Bridge Over Troubled Water would be my suggestion for a next video.
Every time I watch her do this song, it is like the first time. Even a man can't get through it without choking up. I was also moved by your comments after the video - She IS singing about Jesus - pure and simple. And after the acapella break, the pure JOY is just tremendous. Good for you.
