I was born in '55 so I grew up with all this greatness. But even though we recognised it for what it was, we were spoiled and grew to expect it because there was just so much of it around. For me, the music died in the 90's and I'm just so thankful for the likes of RU-vid so we can experience it again whenever we want to. Freddie and Queen will live forever.

I graduated HS in 1977 - 1st concert I went to was Frampton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Santana and the Outlaws (July 4,1977) second was Queen (Dec 1977) and 3rd in 1978 was Journey's 1st tour with Steve Perry. It has only been recently that I realized how epic that was.

Freddie often titled himself just the 25% of the band. He was the driving force in the band, the frontman though he always highly appreciated the band mates' talent. Dragon Attack was born in Munich after spending a few hours with drinking. 🤣

That's totally true! While much of the attention of Queen is given to Freddie Mercury, the other three (guitarist Brian May, bassist John Deacon, drummer Roger Taylor) are NOT to be ignored!

Queen was a band of four magnificent musicians who intended to ENTERTAIN . . .be it a studio product or as they are in concert. Perfection was the goal . . . a well-met goal standing tall these many decades later. Love 'em. Of course, Freddie the only one no longer with us, is tearfully mourned. Thank God for the ability to visit and revisit their legendary work and camaraderie.

I love how Freddie slinks across the stage when the song actually begins to start (2 min mark +/-) Also, I've read that Roger said this is the hardest song on his wrists.

Who else but Freddie could tell a crowd of thousands to “sing it to the beat” and they comply. Love John’s funky bass riff, it drives the song. Freddie’s vocals, as usual is impeccable.

Thanks, Mug, for calling out the BAND.. it was never "Freddie & his back-up band" - every one of those boys wrote #1 songs.. and gave their full talent to the group... any one could have led his own band (especially Brian & Roger with their vocal talents....)...

Hope you get some more views on this gem. People don't know what they are missing out on. Normally John Deacon wrote the funky beats but this one is credited to Brian May. Actually they all worked through the night with several beverages on hand. btw: "The Shack" is the club they frequented called "Sugar Shack" while recording in Munich.- Thank you from this Queenie, great reaction!

I love this sassy funky song written by guitarist Brian May! 💥My opinion only, but the “dragon on my back” could be referencing Brian’s handmade guitar, the fire-breathing Red Special, strapped to his back!! 🐉🔥 The line “take me back to the shack” gives a nod to the Sugar Shack Club in Munich. Thanks for the reaction!!

Roger's son, Rufus Tiger Taylor is a drummer too, and he just did a great interview on YT with his bandmate from The Darkness, Justin Hawkins. They talk about performing with Foo Fighters at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert, but never once mention that his name sounds like their side-project. 😂
