She entered Norways Got Talent at 7 she was actually 8 by the final win both ages are quoted for this reason. However the first see her singing with a mike is one and a half. The first time in the recording studio she is 6. She had uploaded many many covers and 6 origionals. She is respected in the music industry where she is widely known. The reason you have not heard about her is because her parents kept turning down recording deals until Republic Records when she was14 promised her parents not to promote her until she finished school. I have watched AJ for six years now and have probably seen 80 percent of 'em all. You think this is amazing (and you¨re right) but in my opinion this is about 20¨th of her best.

The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. This interpretation of her is absolutely memorable, for her incredible technique, for the ability she had to re-read such an iconic song in a more intimate way and for the intensity of her interpretation, at only 13 years old! e pluribus u-num With all the gimmicks that are used in what is known as music today it is so refreshing to come across a being that does not need auto tune, lightshows, dancers, outrageous costumes, bands, or orchestras to cover their weaknesses because she has none. AJ can perform a Capella, or with one or two instruments to follow her lead and give you chills with each performance. I have always enjoyed all genres of music, and being 75, I have experienced the best the industry has to offer, from the early 50s, to 2023, but I have never been moved emotionally in the past anywhere close to what Angelina Jordan does from 7 to 17. When I heard Celine Dion perform in a tint in Québec when she was a child, I predicted she would be the next world superstar, and the rest is history. Celine did not sign a record contract until she was in her early 20s. David Foster, who made Celine a star flew to Norway after Angelina wone NGT and tried to sign her, but her family wanted to stay in control of her future. Angelina, at 13, appeared on AGT and getting worldwide recognition signed with the largest record company in the world at age 14, Republic Records. The story is that Monty Lipman, the CEO, and known as the Star Maker, personally signed her even without meeting AJ, he was shown a video of her performance. Angelina Jordan will be the next Super Nova very soon. As for being her biggest fan, e pluribus u-num.

I have been listening to Angelina's music every day for the last 5 years & she continues to get better every year. She can sing any song from any genre in any style you like from the last 100 years of the American Songbook. She also writes her own songs & does all the arrangements of her covers that are usually better than the originals, Imo. She just released a new original single called Love Don't Let Me Go & a new original EP album titled "Old Enough" with 5 new original songs to be released this month. Then in the fall she has promised a full LP album of original songs along with a Global Concert Tour. She just finished HS this year which was a requirement of her family before she could turn 100% pro & they are ready to cut her loose. The Angelina Train is leaving the station so yo better hop on. I liked & subed for more reactions to this once in a lifetime artist.

Angelina was up against Pomoy in the final of AGT champions and was edged out by Pomoy. In an informal poll, Pomoy got 43% of the vote and Angelina got 42%. The other 8 contestants received 15%. In the shows voting which was by”Superfans”, whatever they were, an acrobatic act won. I am pretty sure the “informal” poll was more accurate. In other information, Quincy Jones said she is the most talented singer he has heard since Michael Jackson. She opened for Jones’ 85th birthday concert in London when she was 12. Be sure to look that one up.

A&R Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California is Angelina's A&R person, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, three years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) I admit to not knowing a great deal about Marcelito Pomoy, who you may not know actually contested this same series of AGT: The Champions and notionally eliminated Angelina in their head-to-head. But, based on my limited exposure to him, I struggle to see why we he's needed. He did an excellent impersonation of two performers who remain perfectly capable of being themselves. Was he amazing? Yes. Would I be tempted to show him to my friends and family to see their reactions? Yes. Am I interested in watching him again for my own entertainment? Not in the least, now that I know what he's going to do. Would I buy "Marcelito Pomoy Sings Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli's Greatest Hits?" Only if "Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli's Greatest Hits" becomes subject to a global ban. I conclude that watching reactions to Marcelito is much more entertaining than he is. Okay, I'm being slightly disrespectful but who pays repeatedly to see a magician perform the same trick? We've all watched impersonators in the past but I've yet to hear an impersonator who didn't include an element of humour in their act and that's because listening to someone speaking like someone else, however famous that person may be, would become boring quite quickly without the jokes. I'm therefore unable to grasp why singing would be any different. I guess the number of times Angelina inspires you to react versus the number of times you return to Marcelito will be the touchstone.
