Deal with it, Maneskin had a Bigger fanbase than Blind Channel and it helped them to win. I was surprised too. But it's what it is.
Musically Italy was the best. Artistically France was the best. Vocally Switzerland was the best. They are in the first 3 places and are among the minority of countries to have sung in their national languages so it is justified ....

At first I wanted Switzerland to win (you should definitely react to that!!) but when Maneskin won I wasn't mad because I liked them too. Then I checked them out to see what else they've got and here I am now in my Maneskin obsession. Now I'm so happy they won, even though I still love Switzerland
This video made me smile so much because I'm proud of being European and this finally witnessing people outside of Europe seeing why we go absolutely bonkers for Eurovision. It is like a celebration of music and a night to be proud of being European. Destiny (Malta) by the way - she won the Junior Eurovision edition with a song in called "not my soul" in 2015. Her voice was spectacular in that contest, so it was so memorable for her performance this year.
You should definitely react to France, as you said she had so much passion it was almost breathtaking (i may be biased) and Switzerland had one of the best vocals this year and he pulls them off so well live!
Please i join to other people who ask you to discover more of Gjon tears and his incredible voice. "Tout l'univers", "Répondez-moi" and "Babi" are three gems and I hope for him the begining of a international career . He deserves it.

You should react to Solovey by Go_A ! There is their song from last year contest and this is amazing ! My favorite here are France ( my winner ) and Ukraine but they're all amazing.

Eurovision: ballads, demonstrations, sexappeal and goofyness. All mixed together with a crowd that usually started drinking somewhere around noon. It's weird, sometimes cringe, but always amazingly fun!

Ukraine is the most faithful here to the original ideas and rules set on Eurovision song contest. National folk flavour and native language but in modern guise. But what is interesting in general, is the amount of shameless old school disco and 90's techno influences, e.g with the Iceland you did not care too much.
I always forget Iceland actually placed higher than Ukraine and Finland. :P (Because they got less televotes which I personally value a bit more than jury votes.)

Yess, would love to see full reaction to Gjon's Tears (Switzerland) and Go_A's (Ukraine) music. Maybe you can check out their original Eurovision entries (Repondez-moi by Gjon's Tears and Solovey by Go_A) for 2020 but then it was cancelled and then they had to come back with new songs. I think it's interesting that a lot of non-european reactors seem to have a negative reaction to the quirky performances by Iceland and Lithuanian. They were both favored to win last year with very similar but better songs.
I might be biased but my favourite was definitely France. The passion, the lyrics, the outfit.. everything about it was amazing. Both the music video and live are perfect and deserve reactions! Maybe do both in one video? Italy definitely deserved the win though I wish France won because this song was really something else and they haven’t won for 44 years… though Italy hadn’t for 30 so I’m very happy for them! And even 2nd place was the best France has gotten in 30 years so I’m pleased with that :)
Really good job by France this year, for my taste a lot better than Switzerland. Great song, great vocals, elegant and effective staging. Deserved second and, even if I'm italian, I wouldn't mind if it have won.
You could react to each individual song, but after that you could also dive into ESC history like: 1973 Mocado Eres tú. 2006 Finland Lordi 1990s Ireland, including the famous interval act & The Voice 1996 (i think) Norway Nocturne 2019 Iceland Hatari From 2021 it would be wonderful if you looked up the inteval acts, they're marvellous!

If you want an American connection to Eurovision, you can't go wrong with Flo Rida taking part in Eurovision 2021 as a featured artist alongside Italian singer Senhit in "Adrenalina". I suggest the music video though because it has an odd reference to bananas. LOL This is the official song for San Marino, a small republic in Italy. Senhit is of Eritrean African descent.
You should have to hear the full version of the songs. Iceland had such a good presentation and imagine they could not present live because of one member of the band got Covid 19, so it was "only" the second rehearsal performance.
All Top10 this year were excellent AND actually belonged into the Top10. Maneskin topped them all, but Switzerland, France, Ukraine very very good as well !
Malta you will definitely loose your bananas over, she’s only 18 and such an incredible voice. The problem with Iceland is you’re watching their rehearsal performance. One of them tested positive for Covid-19 so they had to isolate in the hotel instead. Last year they had the best song which would’ve won called Think About Things. It was about the singers baby daughter and this years was called 10 Years which is about his wife, she’s also in the band with the curly hair & glasses.

You should see Hurricane - Loco Loco performance at Eurovision. They represented Serbia this year! They were in Top 10 by the televote but jury votes burried them! They are a girl group with powerful vocals and amazing energetic dancing choreography!

If you corner me for my favourite, rwact to a special recording of the Spanish entry for this year. It is Blas Canto in an English version with UK's representative James Newman. Check the English version "I'll Stay". It is an unofficial and not released except as a private release on Blas Canto's RU-vid, God bless him, but OUTSTANDING. No one in the world has done this, so it would be a phenomenal song to react to. The original is by Blas Canto as "Voy a quedarme" about his grandmother dieing of Covid . She was a great influence on him. By the way before the contest, Blas Canto also lost his own father as well. To encourage you further, both artists got 0 points in the public televote and ended dead last (24th of 26 for Blas and 26th out of 26 for James). So worthy of coverage for everybody to listen to this.
