In his solo album 'FACE', Jimin honestly expressed the various emotions he felt during the COVID-19 pandemic for about two years. 'FACE' contains the story of facing yourself and preparing for a new beginning as an artist. 'Set Me Free Pt.2', which will be released in advance, is a song in the hip-hop genre, containing a determined will to get rid of various emotions such as pain, sadness and emptiness and move forward freely. From serious lyrics and melodies to Jimin's RAP, there are so many points of appreciation." Jimin is definitely breaking free from the confines of his own mind... his insecurities... .being okay with all sides of him... scene at the end, Jimin being lifted up looked so familiar. It's really reminiscent of John Constantine's "visit" to hell to find out if the twin sister was really there. That scene is truly epic, all those demons trying to pull him back To this day, my favorite movie that I keep watching every few years and still discovering new things. In Jimin's case, it now feels like instead of pulling him down, his demons are lifting him up. What's that saying : if you can't fight your demons, make friends with them? I think that's why he used his full voice in this song, and that's why we are all shocked, we were waiting for Jimin's sweet voice and him told us to go away with full voice and all the haters! He's a man he chooses to be, not one we decide. I'm really glad he slapped many in the face!! I love you jiminshii!!!! NOTE: THE AUTO TUNES IN THE VOICE WAS INTENTIONAL, AND MEANS THE VOICES OF THE HATERS THAT INSIST IN ATTACKING HIM, THAT'S WHY THE "FUCK YOU" IS SO EXPRESSIVE. About the butterfly thing, BTS have a lot of metaphors they use in a lot of their songs since it usually ties to their core message and ongoing themes, some of my favorites are "galaxy/constellations", "shadow", "sea and desert", "house of cards", "crow-tits", and many more. The butterfly metaphor they use a lot to symbolize growth/evolution/reborning, and in the B.U. storyline they use it to symbolize the butterfly effect, they have been mentioning butterflies for a long time now. It makes sense that Hobi and Jimin used it, since right now they started a new phase, they are growing by debuting as solo artists.
Great reaction. I'm glad to see that you understood Jimin's artistic choices for this song. He conveyed his emotions so well that I felt overwhelmed the first time I watched the video. My brain stopped working for a moment. I really love this song and the MV is phenomenal. Great shout out to the dancers and choreographers. I'm glad that Jimin is free to explore new genres. The choreographer was sienna who did the ON choreo too! But Jimin seems to have been very involved in changing up the choreo because he mentions in the behind the scenes that he worked on the choreo too :)

Love you! I was waiting for your reaction Cos I always find your face so expressive! I just knew this was going to kill you! One note...I don’t know why people choose to watch reactions then get upset when reactors pause or rewind. The best reactors are those that are authentic and have a genuine interest in the video. If they need to pause, rewind to better understand and appreciate then they should! If these people don’t want pausing rewinding...just stream the video again! So about the video...yes it has On vibes...the choreographer is the same...Sienna! I think the black swan vibes comes from the use of the hands and arms. I agree with your interpretation...Jimin sets himself free...from the behind the scene video he said he wrote this song during times when he was depressed and feeling lost. I think he may have had some fears and doubts, insecurities about all of them going solo...this song is him freeing himself of all those negative thoughts that was keeping him from shining on his own! I’m so glad you love the effects... Cos I’ve seen some people complaining about it. Unfortunately some fans are a bit disappointed that it’s not all smooth angelic voice Jimin...well tough, he is an artist and he has a story to tell! At the end, the camera rotates to a view looking down to him to show that he is ascending as the darkness is grabbing to pull him down. Then the darkness falls away as his new self is revealed. Also, interestingly, I haven't yet seen anyone comment on how he uses one of his hands as if removing a mask/face as he rises up. This song being the finale on the album, this gesture is a call-back to the first song Face-Off. Also, in the beginning, they're all arranged in a grid fashion, as if to imply a matrix. Yet, Jimin is begins walking within that matrix like a free-agent wandering on his own. Then the whole movement shifts to where he exits that matrix. If we take the end as his real exit from it, this seems more of a suggestion as to where he is moving toward, as if a foreshadowing.

Generally speaking, thats the biggest reason ALL reactors (Not just you) ought to watch it twice. Visually, let it play. Then breakdown lyrics and thirst appropriately. @@freedomshJimin tends to portray his lyrics in music video visuals. So every single scene has a different meaning behind it and if you read lyrics and watch video alone seperately (for non Korean speakers) you cant understand the deep meaning he has set in that particular scene. Yes it's quite hard to focus both lyrics and video at same time but when you repeat it and understand the lyrics and watch the scene right after it , it will make more sense so she is just doing her analysing work perfectly, if you want to watch the video without pauses you are free to watch the MV atleast it will help in viewers count no offense
