I probably shouldn’t reply right now, but I’ll risk it. Some, or even many people don’t like Babymetal (BM) for their wide ranging discography. However, that is exactly why I personally love them. I follow many great bands (Now Japanese) that I would have never heard of, if it weren’t for BM. For the most part those other bands are more traditional (writing, instrumentation , lyrics …). However, in the bigger picture they have a narrow (somewhat) niche they fill, because they produce the music themselves. Again, there is nothing wrong with that and I love those other bands, or singers. Some may dislike BM simply because they don’t (for the most part) write and perform their music. I on the other side, absolutely love perfection. How does one achieve that level? I listen to many orchestras and all of them choose the best talent they can find and perform pieces from the greatest composers of all time. Babymetal is similar in that they are each individually the best at what they do; no exception! I emphatically do not mean just the front women. The producer, choreographer, music, lyrics, stage design, lighting, pyrotechnics and everyone else that goes into a performance is simply next level. Of all my other favorites, none of them come close to the spectacle that BM is. This group is not your typical, “Metal Band.” Many have compared them to a Metal show, which is probably the most accurate. How does one compare a team of the best of the best? Well you simply can’t. Some people who don’t get the concept my disagree, which is fine. However, I would not be as big a supporter, or frankly even heard of those other bands if it weren’t for BM. For the specifics on this performance, I could comment a lot but, it’s not needed. I probably know every vocalist that one my toss out me, (and not just Japanese Metal women). I love all of them, but there is no one that can pull this off, aside from Su-Metal. Just a biased opinion.
Not sure where you found this version without any filters so hopefully this won't be blocked, thanks for coming back with one of my favorite BM songs and many more fans, so no wonder why this become also your favorite along with others reactors too, that's so good to hear. This is a long time waited proshot version for the fans, song was pushed to be performed again after many years and being played only one time at Hollywood Paladium in 2017 while on US tour when YuiMetal was still in the group, sadly for copyright disputes that proshot version never saw the light and we only have fancams of that. Thankfully they performed this last year at 10 Babymetal Years Budokan, and surprised everyone with this astonishing and beautiful production. Again Momoko Okazaki was the avenger helping to fill the third spot and she did a great job. Also the English lyrics is a little bit more clear thanks to Papa Xan from BMRR, so i recommend you to watch that version, but we don't have official lyrics yet, is one out of three songs with full English lyrics. Like someone said before, MoaMetal is like a body subtitles for this song. Another thing, this song was released exclusively for International 2nd album version, while Japanese version got another exclusive track called _"Syncopation"_ another banger one you need to watch it too if you didn't already. The One (BM fandom) is really crazy these days, In October 1st BABYMETAL released in all their social media platforms an official post about their current restoration project called "The Other One" and a snippet of a song that belongs to the snippets set titled "Throne" and with 90% on it, next day another post with 91% and another snippet from "Cavalry" set, then 92% with "Mirror", then "Illusion" with 93%, after that "Transition" with 94%, and today "Inverted Mirror Reflection" with 95%, so everyone is guessing probably we're gonna have everyday a new snippet from one of the 10 different sets like a countdown until October 10th with some news (10/10/21 was the sealing date last year starting the hiatus for the group), but like always... Only The Fox God Knows. Btw now that you mentioned the trance vibes, which maybe got that progressive trance not really sure but definitely some bro/dubstep, if you look for the new recent public BM snippets you'll find one with clearly trance dance edm vibes on one of them, go listen and come back to tell me which one is that, "90%" "91%"... and so on posts.😉 See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
Great reaction. Such a good song - and very rare as far as live performances are concerned. It was on the international release for the second album, the Japanese release had 'Syncopation' instead - an equally great but very different song (and so worth another reaction from you). 'From Dusk Till Dawn' had been played live only once - at the Hollywood Palladium in 2017. Because of some sort of copyright dispute the pro-shot video of that performance was never released, all we had to show for it were fan cam videos. When BABYMETAL were getting votes in for the top 10 songs for their 10 BABYMETAL Years album there was a campaign to have 'FDTD' included. It was not put on the album in the end, but at the 10 Budokan shows it finally got two more live performances and the pro-shot video for the DVD we had all been wanting to see for so long.

As Rick Wagner commented below, only a limited number of fans who were at Hollywood Palladium on June 16, 2017 had been privileged to experience this song for 4 years. On February 16, 2021, when the intro started, everyone (including me) at Budokan was firstly shocked and gradually god excited understanding what was going to happen. At the end of the song, however, everyone got confused with what he / she witnessed because it was too surprising and mesmerizing. On the following day (Feb.17), the audiences came to the venue expecting the setlist would remain the same and FDTD would be played again. Once this song started many of them (including me) just stared at the stage without moving as if they were trying to burn the performance into their retinas. Su-Metal did it perfectly. "In the end ! (or In the air!)" Divine voice. And Moa and Momoko did perfect choreo like angels smoothly dancing around the goddess. Oh! I actually saw and listened to it twice for sure, but still "was it real?" (Even after reconfirmed it in Blu-ray video)
⚡ 💀 💕 / 🌅 I was at the Hollywood Palladium concert for the world premiere of this song back in 2017. Apparently there were rights issues that prevented the pro-shot footage from that concert from being released. They really took this song to another level at Budokan for those two shows in 2021. And pro-shot footage was finally released, although it was only available as part of an expensive fan club collection. NOTE: There were ten Budokan concerts in 2021, with five different setlists. The concerts were in pairs, with back-to-back nights having the same songs. All of the shows included the 10 songs that were on the '10 BABYMETAL YEARS' compilation album. Each of the pairs of concerts also featured a different set of three additional BABYMETAL songs.

Little fact: Babymetal plans ahead a long time and their are so many details which aren't obvious as first, but things people who are following everything closely will notice and enjoy. As was mentioned Babymetal performed this song in 2017 and only performed it again in 2021. But that was exactly, to the day 44 months after the performance in 2017. 4 in Japanese can be Yon, Babymetal has a song called: Yon no Uta / (English title) Song of 4. The chant is: Yon Yon ! so 44. 🙂
I'm surprised this one is still up. I'm watching it now before it get blocked. :) I've found that i end up liking everything about Babymetal whether I want to or not. There is a lot about what they do that I wouldn't normally care for but they pull it off so well every time that I can't help but love it.
I think everything is going to be alright. This is not exactly the original video. It has already been slightly modified so as not to be blocked. That's why it's not watermarked. The author of the channel this video is from is good at it. (I've been watching that channel for a long time)

Nice reaction, thanks! Yep, totally dream trance mixed with metal... which is amazing! I'm pretty familiar with the genre and I was shocked when I first listened to it. The production at the 10 BABYMETAL Budokan shows is unbelievable. Easily among my favorite concerts visually. They don't joke about scenography. And Su belting those crazy sustained notes and the falsetto parts give me chills. I love it! See you next time!
While my favourite Babymetal song list fluctuates wildly from month to month, week to week, and even day to day, I don't think FDTD has ever left the top 3. Completely without context or comprehension; just purely based on the sounds and emotiveness of it. I did see the fancam footage, and that hinted at even more power behind it. But this? This performance and spectacle is so much next-level I've had to invent several new ways to categorise levels just to cope with it. Nice reaction, and thank you so much for bringing this particular version of such a hauntingly brilliant song to my attention.
