EDM Producer Reacts To BABYMETAL - From Dusk Till Dawn Live at Budokan 2021

Su usually sings with a natural voice. But she sang the song in falsetto first so she could sing higher and softer. Then switch back to the natural voice to sing more powerfully. Another song I remember her singing in falsetto is - BabyMetal - Tsubasa Wo Kudasai ( Legend D live 2012 ). Thanks for your great reaction.

I've been a Japanese fan of BABYMETAL for a long time. I think this song is BABYMETAL's "best". There is a duo of American rappers who have been doing BABYMETAL reactions on RU-vid for a long time. They also said that this song was their representative song. As you know, BABYMETAL has many good and famous songs. But still, I think this song is the best.

This is pretty safe to react to, because it was actually a really well made compilation of 2 consecutive nights in Budokan 2021 :D This is why we wanted you to not miss it! I knew you would have loved it!! In their latest album you might find other songs that you like, since they mixed EDM with metal in a few songs! Did you notice how the lights started yellow, then it becomes dark, then turns more blue until it becomes yellow again, to symbolize the passage from Dusk till Dawn :) The Kami band of the West made an instrumental intro for the song Kagerou, and only for that one! So that could be a good place to start the third album :) The last song for the second album, is Syncopation! So the channel you took the "From Dusk Till Dawn" video, has a pretty good compilation of Syncopation. If you use footage that is not a compilation, it will most likely be blocked, unless you put a logo on top|

Great reaction, thanks! "FDTD" is a rarity in all its aspects: composition, genre, live history, release, singing, etc. Also one of my favorite songs (against all odds). It sounds really amazing. First Su using her falsetto (not the first time we hear it though) and then belting those crazy notes... Not to mention the combination of dream trance and metal. Flawless!

Nice reaction. That was the first time that song was performed in Japan. Babymetal knows how to surprise even their biggest fans. No one there was expecting to see them perform this song. And then it happened. That's fun when you're at a concert and the band surprises you with a song that great and that unexpected.

👍 👍 Beautiful performance of a gorgeous song. Kagerou LIVE with West Kami Band (intro) is one of my top 5 BabyMetal song/performances. The West Kami Band features world class musicians from the USA (for tours outside of Asia after 2019. The West Kami’s did the European leg of BabyMetal’s world tour and will tour with BabyMetal this summer and fall for concerts in the U.S.

Great reaction - and a very rare live performance. This song was on the international release of the album, so it was the only song from the first two albums that they didn't play over the course of the two nights at Tokyo Dome in 2016. They had played it live only once in 2017 at the Hollywood Palladium ... but the pro-shot video from that performance was never released (some sort of copyright issues apparently), so all we had to watch were shaky fancam videos with fancam quality audio. When they did a vote for the 10 top songs to go on the 10 BABYMETAL Years album the fans got together and voted this one in. It did not make it to the album despite that, but they did finally play it live again in two of the 10 Budokan concerts in 2021 ... and finally we got the pro-shot video we had all been wanting for so long. The other song you have left to hear is 'Syncopation' - a very different but equally great song. That was the Japan exclusive track that took the place of 'From Dusk Till Dawn' on the Japanese release of the album.

FDTD is one of the more obscure songs from their catalogue, so it often gets overlooked by reactors, which is a shame because its a good song. It only appears on the international version of Metal Resistance (the Japanese version has Syncopation), and its only ever been performed live three times (including the two performances in this video at 10 Babymetal Budokan). I hope one day they pull it out of mothballs because I would like to see it live.

For Syncopation I recommend the video by "ferr". It says compilation but doesn't feel like one and the footage is amazing, it's the most popular video for a reason. The videos saying Budokan 2021 are in most cases compilations of different concerts they held in a succession, even though it's not stated explicitly, because it wouldn't be possible to upload the original footage without getting struck.

A really nice, genuine reaction. I've only recently run into this video of this performance. It seems to also have come up on the radar of a number of reactors recently like you. Several of them like you also said this may be their new favorite BM song. I'm feeling the same way. This is just epic.

On your last Babymetal video someone commented that you also haven't reacted to the regular version of Akatsuki from the 1st album. I recommend the performance from Budokan Black Night 2014.

Ahh FDTD - one of their finest and rarest songs - also it is entirely in English (good luck on figuring out the words though LOL). I am perfectly sure Su can sing falsetto - as to whether there is any enhancement and if those bits are live or backing I still do not know. As to her vocal skills - wait until Monochrome - Piano version LOL

From Dusk Till Dawn must be the song that I have been playing on "loop" in RU-vid most of all... and the only Live version you could find +4 years ago was the "bad" Fans Cam Live version... THIS 2021 version though... OMFG

The green bands on their legs is from the flat laser hitting their legs, creating that effect. The flat laser along with the fog creates that 'in the clouds' effect as if they were soaring through the sky as the song actually takes you. GREAT reaction! This is one of my most favorite songs.

this song was performed live only twice. 1st time in 2017 in Holywood. During USA Tour. There was no official recording. Only fancams. And second time at Budokan in 2021. This song is from EU-version of 2nd album (instead of Syncopation, which is from Japan version of album)

from 2019 till today Babymetal have two bands. 1st one is classic japan Kami-Band, and 2nd is west kami band. They are american musicians. Babymetal perform with west kami durig US/EU tours. And sometimes inside Japan too.

You know the Eastern Kami already. Mikio, Leda, BOH, etc. The western Kami are used in the European and American tour since 2019. And they are currently the band playing on their current tour, just finishing up in Asia and headed to Australia next. Absolute belter. It just has so much of ... everything. But unlike Iine, it is refined, polished and elegant. (I like Iine, btw; but this is next level 'thrown in a load of stuff'.) It's probably mandatory to hear this before forming an opinion about Babymetal. But then... doesn't that apply to _all_ their songs?

For me this song Harkens back to some stuff by A Perfect circle. Namely songs like Vanishing on the 13th step album. It's got a similar resonance and message to that song.

FDTD for me is an artistry masterpiece. The mixing of this song together with Su-Metal synthesised vocals create a twilight zone atmosphere like it's coming from outer space 🚀. Thanks for this reaction. Pretty certain their is an effect on Su-metal's voice and Moametal too at some point. The socks that light up with a band, pretty certain that's just a laser light shining low over the stage. You can only see certain laser light if their is something in the way, which is their legs and smoke at for example 14:10

Hi TYLR, and NOW you know why I keep comparing her to Morissette Amon. She has insane vocal range like Mori. We don't know if she can do the whistle notes and she doesn't do the vocal squeaks that Mori does, but vocal control, range, power, and emotions are all there, much like Mori. As for the glowing ankles, I think its either the lasers as mentioned, or they have black lights also going down there and the girls are wearing white in that area so the white is really popping. But I think it is lasers. Finally last song you still need to do is Syncopation. Pretty sure that's also going to make it to your top 5 songs at least. This also brings up one last point. You're probably starting to realize that pretty much all Babymetal songs are good, and CAN be considered your favorite. It mostly depends on your mood for the moment lol
