#lanadelrey #reaction FIRST time REACTION to Lana Del Rey - Young and Beautiful! This is DEEPER than you think.. Join this channel to get access to perks: / @blackpegasusraps
Lana writes all her songs, she’s always said she’s a songwriter first, singer second. She’s truly unique and I would love for you to check out some more of her stuff! I recommend shades of cool, heroin, candy necklace, and the fuck it I love you/the greatest music video.
@@sparkleclover Rick nowels produces, producers are credited as songwriters most of the time but the lyrics are hers! It’s kind of funny how that works
I understand what you mean on how it speaks to you. I was with someone for five years before he passed from cancer. He was absolutely a beautiful soul and I loved him to the end. This song really speaks to the raw reality of love.
I love this breakdown of this song and it really is a hauntingly beautiful piece that encapsulates transcendent love like that. Personally I think that line "Oh that grace, oh that body, oh that face that makes me want to party" is talking about her lover specifically. He has grace or that unconditional love and kindness for her, a strong/handsome body and a "face that makes me want to party" which could mean being able to look at her and make her feel so alive and happy in that moment that she wants to party, to express or celebrate that sensation.
Yay! You're getting into our girl Lana! Her catalog is so deep and she's so goddamn classy and beautiful and wonderful; a breath of fresh air in today's music. She's a child out of time, she's doing something no one else has done for years, and it's glorious. She is herself and she doesn't give a shit with anybody thinks, and she's fantastic for it. My favorite songs by her are Fuck It, I Love You, Venice B*tch, Mariner's Apartment Complex, Love Song (which are all from the same album), Freak, Honeymoon, Love, Yes To Heaven, Gods and Monsters, Summertime Sadness, Video Games, 13 Beaches, Swan Song... honestly I could go on for days. Her style is inimitable and she is absolutely wonderful in every way.
I loved hearing you talk about the unconditional love your parents shared. It's a really rare and beautiful thing to witness, especially nowadays. It was love at first sight for my parents. It sounds crazy, but my dad proposed 4 days after meeting my mom and they married 6 months later. They've been through some really rough times, but there's nothing they wouldn't do for one another, and they'll celebrate their 55th anniversary this month. I'm thankful they're both still here with me.
Lana describes her self as melancholy and as the moon when she says he’s my sun he makes me shine like diamonds, he makes me wanna party is because her man is happy and has the party vibe so he makes her wanna live hence party ! Line goes perfect with her personality type 😜
Your story hit me. My parents met in high school. On their first date, my dad said she was the woman he'd marry. He did. And they were together until the day she died, at 51. He's never really gotten over it, 20 years later. She was truly the love of his life.
Your parent’s story is a real love story for the ages. We as adults in this difficult world, we need to model the love we want to see in the future for our children. Thank you for that real reaction✨💕. Happy holidays
R.I.P to your mom. I can tell you miss her. 💜My dad passed away 16 february 2016 (22:20)😥.. Organ failure and let me say it looks the same as cancer. Till today it brakes me thinking what he looked like at the end from being a muscular man with a dad belly of course 😅
Would love for you to react to more Lana! She's a beautiful songwriter and has a way of writing songs that are personal to her but still deeply relatable. Some of her songs I can't listen to in public because I know I'll start crying and look foolish.
Yall need 2 react to a Japanese metal band called Ningen Isu. It's a group of older Japanese gentleman that play metal. As a lifelong metalhead, I easily put them at the same level of Ozzy osbourne, Black label society, pantera, metallica, and guns and roses.
They've been around since 1987 and are finally starting to get noticed in the West. It's three guys and they each have their own persona. One dresses as a major era scholar, another as a monk, and finally the third guy dresses like the stereotypical Yakuza number.
Specifically the songs you need to react to from Ningen Isu are "Heartless Scat" and "Toshiyun." They're released over 20 Studio Albums and anyone that enjoys the Early 80's - Late 90's Metal vibe will absolutely LOVE Ningen Isu. At least half the people I've shown them too over the years have added it to their workout playlist. In addition Shinji, the guitarist, makes his own effect pedals Pronounced: "neen-ghen is/iz" Band Name translatation: The Human Chair Another reaaaaaaaaaaally good song to react to is "The Caterpillar" which is different, even for Ningen Isu.
Lana is a very good writer, very descriptive with painting a picture of what she is talking about! One of my favorite songs by hr is "Off to the Races", it's so unique
Lana del rey write her music, she’s unique and has the power to bring feeling and vibe from the old time into her songs and voice, my parents loves her. By the way for the lyrics « makes me wanna party » is because she wrote the song for the movie The Great gatbsy ( so it makes sense) i can’t wait to see more of her in your channel but sadly most of her songs are not « hopeful » mostly just reality as bad as it seems, almost like reality strikes after a good dream.
Lana Del Rey is her stage name, but it has a very nice ring to it. Her real name is Elizabeth Grant. She’s really kind of an American treasure. She writes deep poetic lyrics, and has a strikingly haunting voice. Her music intentionally focuses on the America of old, when romance and glamour had different meanings then they do now. Think Marilyn Monroe or some of the classic beauty queens. You should definitely take a trip down the Lana rabbit hole! So many great songs.
What a lovely hopeful interpretation. I especially loved that you said look at your grandparents and think of them as beautiful. Mine have all passed! Mine were beautiful as well. Your mother was always beautiful to you & to your father. I love that so much. I understand her battle. and your interpretation, however I’m terminal w a genetic disease. My liver is shot. I’m living on borrowed time. My ex hubby is still my bff. I live w him. He cares for me. He tells me I’m still beautiful. I’m yellow. I have ascites. I’m bone thin and look 10 mo pregnant. I feel like my scarred and dying diseased inside shows on my outside appearance. My ex hubby refuses to let me believe that. It’s sad, but I have to believe there’s a reason I’m still here. I’m just so exhausted. It took me dying to bring my hubby back into my life. Tie up some loose ends. Get right with God. Thank you for your reaction.
Whatever people think of her as a person, you can't deny her lyricism and overall musical talent. It's almost humorous when people say her music is trash just because they don't like her. Blue Jeans was my first song. Video games is a classic one.
5:41 yes i have adored many of my elders. They have much to offer still and yes its beautiful. Lol as im typing this there was a glitch in your matrix lol😅
Yeah, the hook with the party line, to me, was her trying to stay on theme with the great gatsby. All these rich folks distracting their personal dissatisfactions by throwing ridiculous parties. Baz luhrmann, the director, kind of informed Lana what he wanted for the song so I can’t help but feel like that was in his notes and she just had to figure out a way to implement it. Otherwise, the verses and chorus are very serious and hopeful.
If you took a messed up 1940s movie star & teleported her into today. But gave her the freedom to say eveything she couldn't before that would be Lana Del Ray. She is her own complete type of music, unique & amazing. Shes not copied as no one can, great music, better lyrics & style for days....
BP! I love how willing you are to experience different kinds of music. I never expected you to get into Lana Del Rey, but I’m super excited that you’re diving in ❤ Also- thank you so much for being so vulnerable about your parents. The cancer industry is a cruel money machine that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. No such thing as being too emotional when you’re being honest. Lots of love to you and your family ❤
Woah, what you said about beauty took me right back in time 30 or so years to a poem I wrote as a teenager….. What is beauty?…. A silken hem on a shapely limb? A golden lock against fragrant skin? A diamond sparkle in a midnight eye? Rosebud lips of a blood red dye? My mirror is my enemy I’d love to see what your eyes see I find it hard to understand As you stroke my face and hold my hand But hidden deep inside of me Was the answer that I longed to see Inner beauty is nothing new For what you see in me, I see in you
Timeless... That's what kind of love that is. I was extremely close to my grandparents, and they were married over 70 years. It's no coincidence that you mentioned the movie The Notebook and said something regarding a fairytale because that is very similar to the ending of my grandparents together. My grandad took care of her for 20 plus years after being diagnosed with dementia. He got really sick and passed in the hospital, and it broke my heart every time Grandma asked where Jimmy was. She passed shortly after in one of those hospitals for alzheimer's. They both were in their mid 90's when they passed, and I am very fortunate to have had them.
Just got a divorce after 23 years of being married to someone who didn’t love. I was 21 and his arm candy I was in love and young and dumb and really thought it was a real relationship. As I matured I realized it wasn’t. When our youngest turned 18 I filed for divorce. Unfortunately, all men will not love you when you’re not young and beautiful anymore. Be careful who you marry ladies.
BP- i agree with you on the song. But the only way to know the true meaning is ask her or find info on the song when written. 😊. You struck a chord with me on your dad and his statement on breaking up with a girl he was dating after your mom passed away. My parents were married approx 23 years. Deep love, but there were problems due to my dad ( alcoholic). My mom had massive heart attack and died age 53. Dad grievec for a long time before dating. None were ever close to what he had with my mom and he to,d me numerous times he missed my mom like that. Thats love BP...both in heaven now. Anyways, more Lana Del Rey. How about some Tamino. Different style singer. But locks you in...
