For whatever reason MNET doesn't seem to block reactions to Queendom. Mamamoo and Red Velvet have been friends since their rookie days. MMM's leader Solar is particularly tight with Wendy & Irene and Seulgi is close friends with MMM's main rapper Moonbyul. Seulgi featured on Moonbyul's solo song Selfish. To answer your question, yes, Moonbyul is also an excellent singer and a couple years ago she won a landslide victory on a competition tv show to determine the best singer among 8 really talented gg rappers.. Moonbyul started out as a singer and transitioned to rapper in order to debut with Mamamoo. She's long been known as one of the best gg rappers and since she writes almost all of her own rap verses she's the most credited songwriter among female idols. Overall Mamamoo has the most songwriting credits (lyrics & music) of any girl group in kpop history. In addition to being considered the vocal gold standard among girl groups the MMM members are creatively involved in all aspects of their career including songwriting, choreography, styling and MV concepts. As you could tell from the contrast between the two songs, Hip isn't intended to be a vocal showcase. After years of being one of the biggest shit magnets in kpop because they don't fit into the supposed standards regarding beauty, fashion, gender, sexuality and behavior in general, Mamamoo finally responded with Hip. Hip is a combo of a diss track mocking their haters as people who spit in their own faces and a message song that re-defines Hip to mean being yourself and doing your own thing rather than the usual slang meaning of cool or trendy. Hip was co-written by Hwasa (the voice you liked), who is the member most often targeted by haters, and the lyrics refer to several controversies over what she chose to wear (or not wear) to the airport. In the MV each member plays herself in MMM (the 1st Universe) and imaginary lives in three alternate universes as women who are unusual in one way or another - a boxer, the president, an environmental activist, an entertainment company CEO, the leader of a glam band with drag musicians, a mom with a unique sense of housecleaning fashion, etc. The point of course is that all those women deserve respect rather than criticism for their career, lifestyle and fashion choices. Mamamoo are strong, independent women who stand up for themselves but they've never copped a bad girl attitude and often use their platform to send empowering messages of self-love and acceptance of others for their uniqueness and individuality. Red Velvet and Mamamoo are close friends, the girls usually stand in the same order, left to right, Moonbuyl (Rapper and vocalist) Solar (leader and Vocalist) Wheein (vocalist and best dancer) Hwasa (vocalist and rapper). The girls all have successful solo careers and have around 400 songs (group, sub group and solos). They are the most credited K-pop group (lyrics, arrangements, production etc). Wendy and Solar both appeared on the same show recently as judges and share the same birthday date 🎉… Killing voice gives you a great overview of their song styles.

the member with the vocal tone you liked was hwasa. i agree she has a unique tone, you should check out her cover of walk on by on her own yt channel. i feel like you lean more to sultry, jazzy type. i could be wrong haha. you can check it out in your own time too, no pressure to react on it :) the main rapper, moonbyul, she does sing and sounds amazing too. you can listen more of her singing on her solo works (all of them are soloists). its kind of rare to hear low tones from girls in kpop, thats why i was pulled into listening to mamamoo. they jsut sound more mature. also, its fine you didnt include the imiss you video. yes, unfortunately, performances released from korean tv shows get blocked unless you tweak the sound/add filters/cut some short seconds in between. idk how others manage to put up that video in full, without any changes. sometimes it gets blocked, sometimes it doesnt. so no worries, as long as you enjoyed the i miss you video, you get to see them perform, and we hear your thoughts, thats more than fine. take your time to react and edit. :) we'll be here patiently waiting for more mamamoo reactions. thank you for reacting and discovering them, i hope they did not disappoint.

Another instance where Seulgi and Moonbyul collaborate was on the TV show Idol Drama Operation Team wherein 7 idols (including those two) drafted and performed a semiautobiographical screenplay about their lives as trainees, forming the temporary project group Girls Next Door. Moonbyul was elected group leader. Their one song "Deep Blue Eyes" was performed three times, once on the show itself, and on two weekly countdown shows, all on . Again, being TV, likely to get hit by (C) if reacted to but well worth watching!
One demonstration of the conection between Mamamoo and Red Velvet was for Solar's recent comeback in April, she did a listening party for her title track (on solarsido her channel) that included Wendy and their interaction was very sweet.
So, Moonbyul/Moonstar is the rapper (who occasionally sings), Hwasa is the short-haired sultry torch singer (HWAK TUU!), Solar is the big belter (Princess, Boxer, Rocker in Hip), Wheein has the smooth honey voice and blue hair in Hip (though when she does her rare belting, her power is surprisingly close to Solar's level).
Mamamoo, Red Velvet, and Minx (now Dreamcatcher) are all girl groups that debuted in 2014 and are still actively releasing songs. I think you will like all of these groups' songs.

Sir I am going to recommend you watch Dingo Killing Voice. Then you can get an idea of Mamamoo and their versatility. Most times they appear in order left to right. Moonbyul the rapper. Solar the belt. Wheein angelic voice, Hwasa is sultry and most body of the group. You can actually do a comparison because I do believe Red Velvet has a Killing Voice as well.
