Park Hyoshin is known as one of the four best and most representative voices of South Korea. He debuted in 1999 and he's a ballad singer, so you should expect ballads from him ;) And I'm not joking about this "one of the four best voices" thing. It's real. In early 2000s, I think no one is sure when exactly, the term "Kim Na Park Lee" was created, to describe the four vocal kings of Korean music: Kim Bumsoo, Naul, Park Hyoshin and Lee Soo. Of course music is all about your personal taste, so not everyone has to be fan of these four, but nevertheless they are known to the public as "Kim Na Park Lee", the top vocalists in the country. And Park Hyoshin is my personal favorite from them :) About the meaning of "Wildflower", some people say this song is about his personal hardships he had to face (he went through a lot trying to become a singer) and how he will bloom again despite all of that. Others believe it’s about one of his closest friends, who committed suicide in 2010. Either way it's not about relationship. It's very emotional song for him, you can see it when he performs it live. He's crying.
A white ice flower that bloomed Puts its face out in the welcoming wind It sheds tears over the wordless and nameless past Hiding in the cold wind Melting down under the single ray of sunlight That’s how you came to me once more Only good memories, only a longing heart On the path where you left me I’m standing alone Only until I can forget you, until I will be alright I’ll swallow my tears and at the end of my wait I will bloom once again Love is a fiery flower that blooms and withers In case I get wet with the rain, I close my eyes In my youth and small heart The dazzling memories shine I call out to you once again Only good memories, only a longing heart On the path where you left me I’m standing alone Only until I can forget you, until I will be alright I’ll swallow my tears and at the end of my wait Then once again, I will On top of the dry land My entire body is burning Your scent that remained on my fingers is scattering away Your hand that is growing far apart I can’t hold onto it so it hurts Just until I can survive, just as much as I hated you When the spring comes to bring you back later on Then I will bloom on that day popgasa.com/2014/03/27/park-hyo-shin-wild-flower-%ec%95%bc%ec%83%9d%ed%99%94/ => eng lyrics
His live performances are really amazing and love, love, him just singing acapella. The most beautiful voice in the world (well, at least to me..). I'd miss him so much. Thanks for the reaction. Cheers.
Thank you so much for this! PHS is really one of my favourite singers. The pianist is Jung Jae Il! You’ll see him in a majority of PHS’ mvs and performances. They are really good friends and got really close when they were in the military. You should definitely check out more from Park Hyo-shin! He’s been through a lot and definitely deserves the support! ♥️♥️
Park Hyoshin...'Wildflower' is a dream wrapped in a mystery...God I need to learn Korean. But isn't it amazing how music can communicate the intent of a song while never understanding the language?
Here’s a heartwarming one : “ it’s you” ( click the fancam 4:00 one) He SOARS! It has English Subtitles. In my opinion he’s the best male love/love lost ballad vocalist in the world. Yes, Dimash the best pop-op vocalist in the world but when it comes to purely emotionally impactful heartwrenching and heartwarming ( “ it’s you”) ballads none in the world come even close to Park Hyoshin. Al
Yees Park Hyoshin :) Another solo artist with a unique and technically excellent voice is Gaho -- he's part of a crew of solo artists called PLT and they all make amazing music! I highly recommend A Song For You, Pink Walk, and from the crew Hocus Pocus and Igoholic
Jung Jae Il is on the piano, he wrote this with Hyo Shin and it’s def. his most significant song. Incredibly relevant to him. The pair are sublime. Hyo Shin has dysphonia after his music co forced him into a concert series at short notice; so you’re kind of listening to a miracle. Very intuitive. The live versions are way better and I’d rather not write all the story. But it’s super mportant.
Yay I'm so glad you liked my suggestion! (this is hallyugirl) Hyo Shin is just one of the most talented singers ever. You might be surprised to find out that MV for Wildflower is actually his recorded live vocals. That's why it's all one-shot, it was taken with a drone hence the movement of the camera, and why you see them setting up all of the equipment at the beginning of the video. Hyo Shin live is even better than Hyo Shin recorded. So he got so into the moment for a couple reasons. One because he knew they were using the live track for the MV. And second, this song means so much to him. He co-wrote it with the pianist you see in the video, his very good friend from the military. Hyo Shin went through so much hardships with his company when he first debuted, not getting paid, living in terrible conditions, being worked until he literally collapsed multiple times. He took a break and went to the military, and while he was there his friend committed suicide. So this song was him thinking back on all of those times and trying to find the will to move past it all. He actually cannot sing this song live without bursting into tears. One of my favorite live performances of this song shows him just bawling at the end, but he still finishes a flawless performance. He doesn't have a whole lot of songs that aren't ballads. I think a lot of ballad singers in Korea tend to get put in that category and rarely venture, so you might not find one of those songs you can just play on repeat, but his voice is always worth listening to!
This man has such beautiful vocals T....T Fun Fact: VIXX Hongbin is a HUGE fanboy of Hyoshin that his profile pic is him and Hyoshin hugging. Hongbin chose Jelpi mostly because of Hyoshin.
Love him. Thanks for this reaction! MV is good but, his live performance is always amazing than MV. If you wonder his upbeat and brighter song, then check out blew link *Happy together : live on Tv show ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R458pDmlfgg.html *The castle of Zoltar : concert live fan cam ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7uZ1E6MvFIc.html
This song is about love who left him but he still hoping her to come back to him sometime later, and he will be staying there for her. I am listening this song for forever ~
Even at live....and I paid like $400 for the ticket (back door because ticket sold out)....i feel like i have underpaid the ticket. His performance infront of you last a life time. I have been to MJ but PHS is profound!!
Hey, i'm one of your viewers and i just want to recommend you a new korean song from HYNN - WHEN I TELL YOU GOODBYE for make a new reaction video. This really really good song. You must check this out. 👍
Park Hyo Shin is also a musical actor and has done many musicals over the years. His vocal is very flexible. He can practically do any genre of music and well worth listening to him rendering different genres. His songs are timeless and ageless. He has incredible vocal stamina and control. He is amazing at changing his tone as well. This one song doesnt reflect 10% of his skills.
Please react to the mini album “h” by Lee Haeri! My fav song is Hate That I Miss You She is a member of Davichi, they are a really famous female duo. I think her tone is my fav for ballads and its SUCH a good album, literally all of the songs are top tier beautiful so please react 🥺🥺🥺
