First time REACTION to Ren - Dominoes! This is DEEP 

I think everyone who has a young daughter NEEDS to hear this.

I've listened to his entire discography and this is my favourite song. I listen to it every night when I feel like I don't want to go to sleep because I don't want to face the next day... It's giving me a sense of "someone understands me, I'm not alone, with his help I can do this", I can sleep in peace and then face life again.

Humble, oceans, dominoes, Insomnia, ready for you, dear God, depression, how to be...ah screw it everything with ren is fire

Ren creates thought and debate through music. He is a poet at heart and a musician by design. No one is as brilliantly versatile as him in the music industry today. Great reaction guys.

The background 'scratchy noise' really bugged me in this song, then I realized it was there on purpose, Ren not 'covering up the flaws', the message of the song.

I love it when you guys are brought into deep conversations by Ren's music! In his live 360-degree performance of the Tale of Jenny and Screech, he gives a speech about how divided we've all become. It's pretty amazing, because he talks about the yin and the yang, choosing one side or another, how we don't listen to each other anymore or try to meet each other in the middle. Near the end of it he talks about finding ugliness in the beauty and beauty in the ugliness. Reminded me of the "pendulum swinging from the dark to the light" and the "dance" in Hi Ren. It's a consistent theme in his music. Another theme that he's brought up several times is that in order for us to change things, we need to look within ourselves and see how we are part of the problem. That's helped me to see that I've become entrenched in one particular political or spiritual side, and it really helps to step out of that blindness in order to find solutions to problems, etc. Shit, Ren says it a lot better...

We need to stop thinking of "good personality" as a consolation prize. In the end, it's all we have, and it matters so much more.

One thing that I find amazing about Ren and this song in particular is his ability to achieve balance through contrast. If you listened to this song without lyrics you'd be bopping around with a smile on your face, it's such a catchy tune. Then you place these powerful lyrics on top and it just does something indescribable to you, but it ends up feeling perfectly balanced as a whole. Everyday, with each new song I find, my respect and admiration grow for this guy. luv&cuddles

On the outer shell all fun and happy and on the inner side when you dare to look is the darker, almost F***ed up and sensitive core, that´s screamed "hey, look at me! i´m the the real me!!".. as we all often do/are "sorry for my grammar and structure of the sentence .. eng is my 3rd language but i hope y´all get what i mean"

Ren is a phenom. You will really like Love Music 1,2 & 3. It starts off real good, then great and then what the hell was that? Strongly recommended...like NOW!! Just playing y'all. Love the show especially the Ren journey.

First half of the song the dominoes are built, and then he makes them fall in the second half. Beautiful song. Really good lyrics but the way he delivers them is the trick, the build up in the song and then bringing in the meaty part.

As someone with no kids it was so much more interesting to watch 2 fathers during and after the last part. What a heavy song!

Plasticine is a putty-like modelling material. Though originally a brand name for the British version of the product, it is now applied generically in English as a product category to other formulations. Interesting to hear about the plastisized exhibits but i think what rens saying here is people change their beauty so much with top tips that they look like they are moulded from clay putty (plasticine). (E.g. nose jobs, lip fillers etc etc) It might be a UK term here but in Uk we all grew up moulding plasticine at school.

Intensity hits at the end and boom! Tears flow. Ren did it again. He has so many treasures that are finally seeing the light of day and getting deserved recognition.❤

Really like this song… and all youngsters need to hear it. As an ‘oldie’.. I’m way past caring what anyone thinks or says about how I look. Ren is right on here.. giving us a (somewhat) soft or ‘poppy’ message much like RATM throughout the 90s. Please, please listen younguns’ - please! BTW.. the human bodies that were exhibited in the early 2000s was called plastinated.. not plastisized. I believe REN may have been referring to how so many people, mostly girls, are seeking to change how they look via plastic surgery.. which is very, very sad!

about the bullying topic: Yeah, some people might grow from it but imo it's not worth the people who get bullied and unalive themselves because of it or just suffer life long trauma from it. I've grown despite my trauma, I could have gotten equally strong if not even stronger if I would have had friends and a support network as a kid. But I've suffered through it and even though I can now relate to other people's struggles a lot better, the trauma, the flash backs, the nightmares, the anxiety, the depression it's just not worth it. and about the fat-shaming topic: I don't think anyone is unhealthily overweight for no reason. No matter if it's depression, no impulse control or coping mechanisms. But shaming someone because of their weight gets them nowhere. If you want to help these people, be a friend to them, encourage them to be healthier, help them find the cause of it all and a way out. Because if you just tell them they're less because of their weight all that will do is drive them even deeper into depression and self-hate. There is NOTHING good that bullying does that a good friend couldn't do as well

So many emotions came to the surface with this one! So so timely! Reminds me of my days at school being height challenged ( I'm 5 ft at best today) and I was called Brigitte the midget! You should definitely listen to Love Music 1 because Ren lays out what he really wants in life. All 3 volumes are great for different reasons, but his dreams hit me in the 💜.

Ive never heard this one. I was just vibing to it until the end and it just made me cry 😢. This is something all teens need to hear male or female. God Ren just knows how to get you. Körperwelten by Gunther von Hagens. As he came up with his art in 1995 hole germanny was shocked and fascinated at the same time. Didn't know that it is shown worldwide or at least in the USA.

As a make up lover, it's not all bad of course. it's also a great creative outlet and hobby, not always about feeling inadequate. But yeah as a woman who does love it, when i don't wear make up they ask me if i'm sick, if i do wear it they ask me why i plaster myself... can't win so i do as i please.

I agree. We have segmented this into an issue that is STILL about APPEARANCE, whether it’s either extreme (body shaming vs body positivity). I feel like my job with my daughter was to continually show her that her value isn’t determined by others. That she shouldn’t hand over her self esteem to others. Somehow she is now a 19 year old who won’t change her plans because some boy called or change her personality to please a boy she’s trying to attract, etc. That’s internal.

Ref the conversation about loving yourself by becoming the best version of yourself: I remember reading somewhere about how we should stop fat shaming and boo to diet culture I questioned it saying "but what if you actually want to lose weight and diet is the best thing for you." They actually made me feel bad for wanting to lose weight and be better (was overweight and not very healthy)

Dominoes is a great song. I am excited to hear that you are going to listen to the Love Songs. I really like hopping my head in the car to those ones. I don't know if you read these comments, but I am about your age, and back in my 20's I was a DJ and there are times I miss playing the tunes. The love songs are some songs that I think I could play in a dance club. One of the drawbacks to Ren's music is that it is hard to play on a radio station and it's hard to see them as club hits. Especially part 2 and 3 could hold their own in a club setting, I think

Yet another great one! I think about these subjects all the time. Money and marketing create trends, fads, what's in, what's out, who's cool, who's not... It can be difficult to step outside of that and be yourself. Life needs balance. You have to find that for yourself. Also, would love to see you cover Ren's videos "Life is Funny" and "Power".

I think, what it is with our lovely Ren, is that his music, his songs are like mini commentaries on life. He’s what an actual influencer should be. This song always makes me cry. I have all his music on my iPhone now and they are all amazing.
