Engine block scraping making asphalt dust means he’s taking the corner so fast his engine is actually scraping the ground the same with the scuffs on his boots from scooting through the outlines because there’s a lot of curvy roads here in Tennessee. A lot of the lines are specifically motorcycle related.

Not a joke or enticing like the dewie cox scenes but its a bit more serious and dark than that.....Riding with that MC too, the reason you dont truly want to live that life because you will lose homies along the way. You may be small time but as your business grows could get linked in with the biker gangs HA etc... Living as an outlaw for real can start all fun and games and one thing leads to another get connected with the wrong people...eventually friends die and you're right where you never thought you would be. IMO, Southern hip hop and country rap are massively overlooked, there are some absolute bangers out there. Adam Calhoun, Jelly Roll, Demun Jones, Dusty Leigh, and then more... Then throw back to some of the originals like Big Smo and Colt Ford. Then there are some up and comers like Rvshvd, who are adding even more flavor to the genre blending.

Your awareness of reality versus the propaganda so many drown in is refreshing.

This is his most grown up rap album he’s got country, rock and rap and he is never repetitive I think you’ll love his progression if you go back to his start and travel through it. As far as i understand it, If Adam wants to make a track, but is broke, he can get an entire album done just by calling Upchurch. Upchurch will get it all done, mastered, & paid for spot cash, signed, & sealed. Adam can do his own stuff, & help others, but yes... they are good friends. Hi-Rez, & a bunch of hot spitters lives, or used to live with upchurch. Also... Screw Face John dissed Upchurch, & got bodied hard... 3 times back to back. He wasn't expecting the roots rock culture of the guy. (Meaning he is deeply rooted in strong music foundation from childhood independently). The battle is on youtube. Screw Face is no pushover... he's a lyrical master as far as i'm concerned. He's one of those who can do a full track in a day, but unfortunately for him, Upchurch can do it in an hour. Upchurch is a straight up rapper... no holds bard. However, he does country, & is very good at it. Thus, Country Rapper. He sings and writes hip hop too for all those who know the difference in hip hop and rap although the genres certainly run together. Upchurch also sings rock too! Dude has no limits there’s nothing he can’t do in music. If guy wanted to started singing Vegas Casino tunes like Sinatra he’d probably kill it. Lmao! Dude is unstoppable. Upchurch keeps getting better as he goes but check out his album Heart of America from maybe 2017 and it’s all fire too. Black Smoke is one of my favorites from that album. He just keeps getting better and better but his early stuff is phenomenal still.

Metallic horse is referring to the motorcycles. The guys are or most of them are 1%er bikers so they are galloping on their metallic horses on the hillside and you can hear the Harley's coming even before you actually see them.

YZ was the first Upchurch song I heard and is still my favorite. I fell off for a while so I'm still catching up on some of his newer stuff but "Come and Get It" and "Hillbilly" were favorites also. All three are older songs but maybe next Reaction throw in an older song and a newer song. YZ is definitely the place to start though but not the remix with Boosie Badass. Not before the original anyways.
