As you would say... LET'S GOOOOOO! Thank you!! Yep, on most of their Japanese live shows it's these guys! That's Su Metal, she was only 16 here! I saw Babymetal on the weekend and they were out of control!! Their touring drummer was on the double kicks for half the show! So good! I think they're coming to the US later in the year supporting another band, check them out for sure!!

Rondo of Nightmare (English): The waning moon has lit up the insanity rampant in the shade The laughter resounds around It bares its fangs and its eyes gleam I can’t escape from it It flickers slowly appearing and disappearing in my mind A nightmare rondo is being repeated The awakening light is gone far away out of my sight I can do nothing but run through the darkness In the woods, in the fountain I hide myself holding my breath but it’s still coming closer to me A stagnant voice. An endless night Ah… If I can no longer get out of here won’t you show me your figure? It flickers slowly appearing and disappearing in my mind A nightmare rondo is being repeated The awakening light is gone far away out of my sight I can do nothing but fall into the darkness

Welcome back to the Foxhole and BabyMetal's journey.🦊🤘🔥 You got a nice suggestion over a song composed by YuppeMetal (aka Yuyoyuppe), you'll hear more songs from him, he's also behind "Karate", the arrangements of Megitsune and more new songs from latest album like Monochrome and Believing. BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal". They are: *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 25. *MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 23. *YuiMetal* scream and dance, former member since 2018. *MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 20 and is the new official member since April 1st recently. None of them are related. After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said. _Akumu No Rondo_ combines not only heaviness with dark waltz and dope time signatures changes but also delicate and fragile beautiness that makes you wants to grab your inception kit and go to rescue this 16 yo queen from this nightmare. Rondo is a musical form in which you can hear a repetitive pattern, you can hear an example of this in the song "Blue Rondo a la Turk" Temporarily title song was "Kill The Alice" so is like Alice but instead of Wonderland she's trapped in a nightmare trying to escape and avoid some evil entity. The Kami Band is not a feature, they're part of the group at live concerts and they're doing their second magnificent intro of the night with their own set called "Mischiefs Of Metal Gods". They become regular after this special live at Budokan 2014 and leaving baby-bones, from early shows, behind, shout-out to them thou. This was the day (night) after the first live premiere of this song and she's dancing and performing like she already did a dozen times before, like a pro. Also she's showing some fierceness here dancing on that high dangerous mini stage with no wire and that's how she keeps winning everyone's heart. But not everything was perfect here despite their impeccable performance and sound, and the day before the girls face that dangerous challenge on the stage, taking their own revenge after coming back in 2021 to celebrate their 10 years and leaving those ghosts behind, fortunately. Like i said, YuppeMetal is the one behind this song and he took inspiration from "Protest The Hero - Bloodmeat" song, of course i recommend that that you hear that blaster song. Thanks for sharing this wonderful SuMetal solo and my favorite along with _"Akatsuki"_ Keep watching all their solos because all 4 of them are beautiful and of course the rest of the girls under a subgroup called "Black Babymetal" are enjoyable too, so don't miss out their other 4 songs too like "Onedari Daisakusen" live at Legend 1997, Gans Tomas got that clip safe to react. Next suggestion: - Headbanger!! live at Legend 1997, Gans Tomas got this clip safe to react under Head Bangya title. Thanks for sharing this and hope to see you next time.🦊🤘🔥

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This is one of the songs that I am longing for their revivials by New BABYMETAL. "Rondo" is a musical form with a recurring leading theme. I can't tell how many times I have viewed this video. It is literally a rondo of happy dream for me. Kamis' (=Gods') super solos were excellent enough as a main event in the show, but once the 16-year-old Queen (as of 2014) emerged from the underground, she colored everything differently with her penetrating voice then turned Kami Band's plays into a ritual to summon her.

Nice one, thanks! The instrumental intro,"Mischiefs of the Metal Gods," is a great way to see every Kami Band member having their turn to shine. Just to summon Su-metal who finally emerges from the depths ... well, at least from the bottom of the stage. 😁 "Rondo of Nightmare" is what we call a solo by Su-metal and it's probably their darkest song lyrically. It's about her being trapped into an endless nightmare, without any chance to escape, where she's chased by a dark entity while she tries to run away and hide. Finally she gives up and asks the entity to reveal its real nature. This was just the second time they performed this song live, the first one was just the previous night at the same venue (the prestigious Nippon Budokan) and Su-metal was just 16 at the time. Which is easy to forget ... and crazy. Performing at this venue is considered a life goal for most artists in Japan. They became the youngest female act to perform there (Yui and Moa were both 14 at the time), and they did two back to back shows in March 2014. Until next time! 🤘🦊

Love your reaction DUDEEEE YOU SHOULD WATCH "MEGITSUNE" next by Babymetal

Great reaction. You heard right, their live performances are at least as good as, usually better than, the studio recordings. In the studio the vocals are over-processed and compressed and the Kami Band only support BABYMETAL in live concerts. This is one of 4 Su-metal solos, two on each of the first two albums. The others are 'Akatsuki', 'Amore' and 'No Rain, No Rainbow'. Yui and Moa would get a break while Su performed those - Su would get a break when Yui and Moa performed one of their duets - they were called Black BABYMETAL for those and they also had two on each of the first two albums (4 No Uta' or Song 4, 'Onedari Daisakusen', 'GJ' and 'Sis Anger'). The Kami Band intro, as you know, is called 'Mischiefs of the Metal Gods'. In order of solos - Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar), BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). There can't be many 16 year olds who could follow that intro and then just take over the whole stage and arena the way Su did. I understand rondo is a musical term denoting a repeated theme - something like that anyway. I believe they borrowed the term for the title of this song as Su is caught in a recurring nightmare, being chased through the darkness by something she can't see. Eventually she hides, but it is still coming closer. Knowing there is no escape she asks that if she is to die won't it at least reveal itself to her. This was early March 2014. They played two nights at the Budokan in Tokyo (think the equivalent of Carnegie Hall or Madison Square Garden - it is the place all Japanese artists aspire to play), Red Night and Black Night, becoming the youngest average age female band ever to headline there. They had just released their first album - they sold out both nights. 🤘🦊🤘 They were back at the Budokan as part of their 10th anniversary celebration and played 10 shows over the first 3 or 4 months of 2021.

Love BOH and his 6 string bass! The full BABYMETAL experience can only be had through live performances or music videos featuring them. The music itself is great, but they are a metal sing and dance unit, so the choreography and stage performance is integral to what they do. Not to mention that their shows are second to none in the rock/metal genre. 🦊🤘 The Kami band has been accompanying them for live shows since 2012, but they do not play in their studio recordings. Many people, myself included, often prefer the live sound because I guess it sounds more organic. They do a wonderful job of recording and mixing their live music. I believe it was Su who once stated in an interview that they sometimes improve songs for their live performances by listening to feedback to the album releases. I would recommend "Headbanger live at Legend 1997" or the official music video for "Megitsune".

> "I don't know her name..." Nakamoto... Suzuka Nakamoto (aka. SU-METAL). > "I wish we had some captions" Well... I can contribute the translation of the lyrics: *Akumu no Rondo* (Nightmare Rondo) The waning moon has lit up the insanity rampant in the shade. The laughter resounds around. It bares its fangs and its eyes gleam. I can't escape from it. It flickers slowly appearing and disappearing in my mind. A nightmare rondo is being repeated. The awakening light is gone far away out of my sight. I can do nothing but run through the darkness. In the woods, in the fountain, I hide myself holding my breath, but it's still coming closer to me. A stagnant voice. An endless night. Ah... If I can no longer get out of here, won't you show me your figure? It flickers slowly appearing and disappearing in my mind. A nightmare rondo is being repeated. The awakening light is gone far away out of my sight. I can do nothing but fall into the darkness. Translation by DU-METAL

Dancing in the dark 2 meters above a rotating stage, a 16yr old Suzuka sings of an Unending Nightmare of being chased by a Faceless Terror and Begging a Boon that It show Her Its Face just once before She dies. That's Metal. That's Babymetal!! Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!

I like that after the first guitarist has sort of burst out the speed, the second guy chooses to not compete with that, but to contrast with it, and has a sort of 70's hard rock feel with that wicked bend. He eventually gets around to throwing out some speed as well, but starting like that was a great artistic choice there...

The performance by the band solo is great. However, as soon as the vocal appears and starts singing, everyone gasps at her beauty and recognizes that she is the protagonist.❤

Just keep reacting to them - there's BOUND to be a pile of recommendations - most of which will be great (about 75-80% for me, at one time not a track I didn't love) - but generally live (they have a few great videos but live is the way to go) - good reaction! 👍 Got to admit I have about 20 - 25 of their concerts...but not one of their albums 😳 - although there's a few tracks I could/do listen to - particularly Kingslayer :P Fav for me is maybe Kagerou (live) any Japan performance I guess

Good reaction. The word Kami in Japanese means "god." Japan is the land of "the 10,000 gods"... they have a god for everything... on this occasion, the Kami Band are supposed to be the gods of each of their instruments.

It's better not to understand. Not for Babymetal. Babymetal is fine. But when Japanese have dark lyrics it's emotional damage.
