Every bakso (meatball soup) restaurant that is served is definitely the same because the broth is only one type even if you order several types of menus, what can differentiate the taste of the soup is if you modify your sauce with chili sauce, soy sauce, tomato sauce, pepper, salt, vinegar and lime

when you eat meatballs you have to use tomato sauce, soy sauce and chili sauce to make it more delicious, because most outsiders when they buy meatballs they don't mix it all

have a safe trip dan & lyn... thanks for staying longer in Jakarta, there's lots of places to visit here in Indonesia such as Bandung ( West Java ) crown jewel from dutch colonial as Paris Van Java , and you can heads up to Semarang ( Central Java ) where you can see the exact place and building like Kota Tua ( Jakarta ) , and you can go south to a very special province of Yogyakarta where they still have the Sultan as ruler of the Province & also the neighbour city of Solo/Surakarta .. etc etc etc.. you'll need at least 3 months to visit all the beautiful places strecth from Java - Bali - Borneo/Kalimantan - Sulawesi- Ambon- Papua - Nusa Tenggara Islands and last but not least Sumatera.. once again have a nice trip and take care .. ❤️❤️❤️ from your new subscriber

@@DanandLyn the spicy one is "bakso mercon" after this you are move to Jogja right ?? In Jogja you can try 1.gudeg 2.sate klatak 3.coffe Joss Oya DAn and Lyn are ready try martabak ?? You should try martabak we have 2 type martabak manis look like pan cake the other one martabak telor is salti martabak cause egg .

Spicyness will stick on your tongue. It worst to have cold, better rid it off with warm/ hot tea. The fastest way eat cracker or kerupuk. With basic taste you know the real taste, with some courage you can experiment to enrich nd strengthen taste by add some sambal, kecap manis or saos. It serves in each table or you can ask for it. Some say there is food will only nice to eat and served on the spot. Do some interaction with local it would be interesting & challenging. Happy travel beautiful soul bro & sist🆒🙏😊

Enjoy Indonesia. Hopefully you can choose the executive class for train tickets in the future. You can go from or to Gambir Station for the executive class.The price gap is not huge but it's worthy.

Bakso originates from fujian province China. Chinese migrants who made the journey to South east asia brought along the food culture. South east asia was called nanyang long ago.

@Dan & Lyn , I remind you to be careful around the station Pasar Senen, there are many thieves you can't imagine how they operate and act in team. . You'd better put your valuables in your chest pocket. Never think it's safe to keep it in your bag, unless you're tucking it deep inside. But for other stations, I think you don't need to worry

There's a region in the Philippines known for its coconutty and spicy dishes. It's the bicol region so if you like authentic spicy filipino dishes you can go there. There's the perfect shape Mayon volcano there, hot springs, waterfalls, and island tours also. You can do humpback whale watching and swim with whalesharks too. Survivors series had their shoots there as well.
